    I want to start by saying the obvious: THIS IS NOT MY MAP.
     
    Now, for all those who remember the amazing JediCouncilGCX from back in 2004, this is it. This is not the 2010 version, or whatever "updated" versions there are of it out there. This is the original, untouched. I found it while digging through some old JK files I had stored away and noticed that there seems to be nowhere to get this map anymore. I was friends with Griffenclaw, and I think Griff would be sad to see the "updated" versions tbh, because they don't fix any of the things he actually wanted to fix (like the spawn points being so spaced out, and the low quality of the animated skybox).
     
    Therefore, I've decided to send a copy of this to JKHub, because someone needs to keep this piece of history alive for all us old farts!

    Dexter's Diner. This is one of the first maps that I have created that I feel is worth posting on the net, It didnt take a great amount of time maybe a week on and off and have not really thought too much about weapon placement, The sky box is one I made for another map, which is based on padme's coruscant home as seen in EII. I hope you enjoy it.

    Years and YEARS ago I had this really crazy dream that was persistent for quiet some time, I eventually built it and released it to Jk2files "Arrevanous 7". YEARS later I bring you the "BETA" for V2, official release will be Christmas night. In the final there will be a secondary night version with more snow.
    I would like to take a moment and note that this is the same beta I released earlier this year to the JAWA clan for testing. Many thing have changed since in my own personal version however atm it is not quiet ready. Theirs a few hidden areas and secrets in this map, including one that's NOT finished. However its sort of a teaser of whats to come in the final release for you folks.
    Btw if you have qeffects this map looks even more amazing. Everything in this map is custom (some thing are base textures altered). There also was LOL a spelling error on one of the crystals prints but I was tired so please excuse that.
    This map uses a few of my own secret tricks, including a new weather system/effect I designed (I've worked to make this much better since this Beta Btw), so please don't just go ripping things off, learn and ask permission please.

  4. RMS Titanic BETA

    You all know the story of the TItanic, well here it is for Q3-JKA. This is not built to be morbid or do exploit, I had family on her so this is actually quiet personal for me. I would like to note two things right off the bat!
    1 - File Size : Its huge, its the flipping titanic, and in the final cut there will be be 8 versions. All textures are custom/wip and theirs a few in this old pk3 that were not used in it YET, as they are for the coming interior that you will see in April.
    This map is highly detailed, and its really big... So if you lagg I am sorry.
    2 - LAGG : This will be fixed in the final cut, I am going to try and reach out and see if some one more wise then me can help me get this to not only DO a vis compile but do it right. As of now it's a mid to low fps map depending on your machine, I apologize, but then again I've never seen this in ANY game where it didn't lagg, the ship has allot of details.
     
    A few people had problems with the water animation showing up black, please do not spam the comment box, simply pm with your system info and let me know of any issues you find/have. I encourage you to do this, please, this will help me, help you, and help the project.
    To be honest I almost didn't want to even release this for quiet some time, with Titanic Honor and Glory in development I felt in many ways it stole this projects thunder. As of now the entire SP story is scrapped. So I am sorry, but I will not be taking this any further then MP.
    A small thing Id like to add is that I have already swapped out this old water shader in the new cut, so no need for messages about that. Ive also since slowed down the smoke, as I had her apearing to move FAR to fast in this BETA.
     
    This map has taken MANY year's to build and even accomplish in this engine, she is built according to the orignal ships floor planes and her line planes and scaled as such was a good guesstimate to feet for this engine. We did our best to develop a measurement system back in the day, and I've applied that here as best I can. The entire ship as I said follows her line plans, so she curves from bow to stern, shes not straight, another small added detail.
     
    Big note : Do NOT touch any thing in this pk3, everything I borrowed from huddizle was done so with permission, please speak with him and I before using our work! DO NOT port this to another game! I will move it eventually and keep adding on as I take it to the next engines Q4/D3 source2 etc. Sorry but I'm not gonna end up with another Cordone situation.

    Jawa Thor Temple is an ffa/tffa map also containing duel rooms, rpg and clan features, and in addition, extra features.
    Visually, the map mixes viking elements with dwarf (jawa) features.

  10. Zora's Domain

    I always have been a fan of Zora's Domain from the n64 game Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The whole game itself was very fun but this was my favorite part of it. In this recreation I made of it I included not only Zora's Domain, but Zora's Fountain, and Zora's River. I included some of the secrets like fairy fountains and that cave. Not everything though is related to Zoras. The secrets around this area I could not make because I would be creating the whole world eventually. I made these secrets go to special places instead. I had to abbreviate some things like the ice cave because it's far too big. I changed the shop a bit as well as added other things. I tried my best and hope everyone likes it.

    As many of you will know, (and for those who don't), I created a rough-round-the-edges representation of Joss Whedon's Serenity back in 2003 that I thoroughly enjoyed making - but in hindsight - could have done with a few more brushstrokes of accuracy.
     
    So, 6 Years in the making and (I fear) 4 years too late, I have finally got around to releasing it! I firstly have to apologise to all those I have kept waiting. The problem with it all is that I'm too much of a perfectionist. Something that I will have created 3 months ago, will look dated to my eyes and need updating. Besides, bug fixing bores the ^&*! out of me, and the larger part of entity/script work is by it's nature - bug fixing.
     
    So, as far as I know, this is about as close as anyone's come to completely recreating both the exterior AND interior of the ship. I will be the first to admit that there are currently many and far superior exterior models out there, but I don't think anyone has tackled the interior with any gusto. (Correct me if I'm wrong).
     
     
    Design:
    -------------------------------------
     
    I am not ashamed to admit that this effort is far far far superior to its' predecessor. I have embellished the ship with every conceivable detail, and poured through tons of reference material in order to conceive the closest possible representation of the ship you all know and love so well. This map is largely overscaled, around 20-25% to allow for a reasonable chance at role-play/game play.
     
    Serenity, as mentioned by it's design team, is one of those few sci-fi space vessels that doesn't suffer from the Tardis effect. (Being much bigger inside, than out). All that said, I couldn't for the life of me fit all the interior into the outer shell, without warping one or the other. I decided very early on that I would have to split the map into too. Besides, with Quake III's modest capabilities, a joining of the two parts would *slay* the user's fps.
     
    This, in turn, created a whole heap of problems which I have had to work around. Firstly I have taken liberties with some of the design. The hangar-shuttle connection in the film and tv-series is pitched at being set at the top, roof level of the hangar. Yet the blueprints rest both on the level of the kitchen. This led to a design compromise, where the shuttle access ports rest in two side areas, either side of the kitchen with a ladder down to the hangar.
     
    I have also taken liberties with all the secret passageways and any design element in between the areas seen on the show. I have included a fuel-room, (a mighty powerful engine needs one I figured) a nav control room, a light control room, a kitchen stock room, and a spare 'crew quarters' room. These are all accessible via secrets and secret passage-ways. (Explained below).

    - Master Room/Airlock Override Switch
     
     
    Secret Area Unlock System:
    -------------------------------------
     
    There are 10 secret areas in the map, (and one somewhere on the exterior). Discovering 2 secret areas will unlock a sealed area of the map in the order layed out above. If your stuck, look for the shady corporate (and blue) symbol that lies close to every secret.
     
    Oh and press your "use" key whenever you see a Tracey's mp3 Player!

    "LF Arena Duelos" is a clan map designed by FireFox (ArkantoS15) and mapped by Cristian_L. It was intended as a Tri al ground, so don't expect it to be very big. It has got two sectors for battlers, which are connected to the main area by a bridge each one (both bridges can be deactivated in those sectors).
    Feel free to report any bugs or errors like for example: missing textures (though we have previously checked all this).
    Installation:
    Unzip the file, and get LFArenaDuelos.pk3 in your base folder.

    As it is the first map published by our clan, I would like to thank LF clan itself for the patience shown, specially Cristian_L who took the time to learn how to map, and improve his skills.

    DESCRIPTION: As you see, I love Grim Fandango. One of the best games I ever played in my childhood, and it still rocks!
    This pack contains a map and a skin.
     
    The map is the first place of the game (Department of the death) it includes the office of Manny. The office of Domino and the main halls. RECOMMENDED FOR 3-6 PLAYERS
    The skin is Manny Calavera. I try to recreate inside the Reborn model. The sounds are buggy, but the sking works. Hope you enjoy it.
     
    BUGS / COMMENTS: Maybe with bots, always bots mess something. BESPIN SKY REEPLACED WITH THE ONE IN MY MAP, SO IF YOU LOVE BESPIN, DONT INSTALL THE MAP. ANYWAYS... I DONT THINK YOU LOVE BESPIN.
    The skin voices are in spanish. Is my natal language and I think GM is better in Spanish
     
    IMPORTANT STUFF: Dont rip the textures or Manny sounds. Those are extracted from the pictures of the game. I dont recommend to mess with those, but if you really need them. Credit LucasArts for that, never forget to credit LucasArts if you want to use those.

  17. Phantom Knights Training Academy

    A complete redesign of my Phantom Knights HQ v2 map for Jedi Outcast released on JK3files.com. It is still not a typical “clan map” although I did include the logo this time. I changed the name to suit the logic of the map’s design as a training facility. All the old favorites are there but redesigned: The generator room is a lot bigger and better, the cantina and it’s hilarious tube of death trap are back and better than ever. The research & development room is back and is more elaborate, the armory is back and of course the dueling arena and office are also back and vastly improved. No need for an alarm this time though as the office overlooks the arena. (The arena and office were heavily inspired by Reelo’s arena and office from Jedi Outcast.) The Ranged Combat room is back and has been expanded. Of course the flame trap is still there. Remember, speed and brains get the big gun folks!
    New additions include a ship hangar, main lobby, medical center with “working” bacta tanks. I wanted to have them actually immerse you in liquid but after weeks of experimenting, I couldn’t get it to work right consistently. To use one just stand on the platform and hit the button to lower yourself in and get up to 100 health or you can have one of your friends lower you and 3 of your friends in via the console!
     
    The generator room (Technically its a plasma refinery) has been expanded to include a reactor core shaft similar to the one on Naboo complete with energy gates designed to hold back dangerous power surges. Of course they have been improved over the ones on Naboo to detect people and allow them through. There are dorm rooms with item pickups, theres a swimming pool and even a shooting range! I actually found the shooting range a little addictive - once the targets start popping back up, it becomes a game of blaster whack-a-mole. The R&D room has a little demo of the cantina trap where you can kill a Jawa for your entertainment. There are also a handful of other NPCs around the map to give it some life. They won’t bother you and shouldn’t get in the way, but if they do, you can kill them.

It somehow found its way into the hands of Several Sided Sid, by way of bribery and terrible deception. Though the map sports Sith-J-Cull's Millennium Falcon, unfortunately the ship has been impounded by Imperials so you can't get in! Even if you try... and believe us, we have.

  21. Serenity - Firefly

    From the TV-series 'FireFly' and the 2005 film of the same name. A planet, complete with orbiting asteroids are also featured.
     
    Aplogies for the large .zip file size; the .bsp turned out to be bigger than expected. The
    size of the planet's textures, shaders and .ase file didn't help much either. I figure if
    you're a big enough fan of the series/film, you'll spare the extra bandwidth anyway.
     
    Hard-core fans will realise that some areas seen in the tv-series and film is missing:
    (the crew and passenger quarters). This wasn't intentional, I found the online blueprint
    and scale model replica late into the process, I was working with movie stills up until
    then and consequently had to make some compromises.
     
    Also note that some areas of the ship are hard to get around, (mainly because it's a trade
    freighter rather than a luxury cruiser, giving me less room to work with.) Try walking
    (rather than running) through the doors/small passageways; that way, you'll get stuck less
    often. I have included bot-support but don't be suprised if they get stuck too, they aren't as clever as we all wish them to be.
     
    This map has been tested on a Pentium 4 with 2.99 GHZ, 1.50GB of RAM and a NVIDIA FX5200
    128MB GFX Card, and another Pentium 4 with significantly lower specs. Due to the high-poly
    nature of the map, I recommend using a PC with similar or higher specs to avoid lag
    spikes. I have included the source .map file if it is of any use to anybody. You may copy any parts of the map as long as you credit me somewhere in the readme and ask permission
    first. (For email addresses see the footnote.)
     
    Secrets
    There are two secrets in the map; both accessible from the cargo bay. If you are having
    trouble finding them, load up the .map file in the 'source' folder of the .pk3.
     
    Bugs
    If you look at 90' away from the planet (but with the planet still in view) the
    outer-planetary glow shader appears to go through the planet.
     
    Once in the medical bay looking back at the (open) entrance doors, they seem to go through
    the medical bay door-frame. Arg!

    A Stargate map for jedi academy. this one is quite interesting, I am quite aware the gate is on but it doesn't take you anywhere. That is the beauty of it. Its a roleplaying map. The stargate is located basically in a little hangar away from the outside. The outside reminds me of a Christmas map or a hoth map good for sneaking and hiding from your enemies. The stargate may not work but its got bot support, that is a plus. Well don't take my word for it, download it and enjoy

    This map was not completely done but the best stargate map (aside from Sith-J-Culley's) that i've ever seen or downloaded. It has the stargate complex, and offworld. The offworld is where you spawn when you load the map and it is a jungle world with raptors and ruined temple.

    About a year ago, I decided to start tinkering around with the SP Map t3_rift,
    not expecting it to go much of anywhere. Well, here I am, a year later; I have converted
    that SP map into a fully usable RPG map, of a Jedi Enclave built into an underground
    fissure. It took me a long time to perfect...many of the areas went revision after
    revision to get them to their final state.

    This map is intriguingly interesting. I found it very fun and peaceful to play on. This is an excellent made roleplaying map for Jedi Academy. Hopefully many of you have already downloaded this map, but I felt it should be uploaded here anyways. There are plenty of areas to search and get lost in as well as train. This map has been on several RP servers recently so here's the map. There are bugs like missing textures but overall this map is great. It is a re-map of the Rift map but better made. So if you like to get lost this map is for you!
