  1. Halloween Town by Langerd

    Halloween Town by Langerd!

Greetings and hello!!! Welcome to the ghost and pumpkin town!

The map works both sp and mp :

    Devmap Hallotown

The music i used is a Cave of Bad Dreams from Rayman 2 game.

In the map You have many graves with .. ekhm Names on them

I rly like to Thank All of You and all Jkhub to improve this title a lot and keep it alive for years. Many Thanks!!! This map is my tribute to You.

But it is also a HALLOWEEN CONTEST MAP!!!!

You have Pumpkins that have 2 variations of taunt

Ghosts that are spooky and scary coming from graves

CANDIES EVERYWHERE!!! Use the cauldron to MAKE MORE CANDIES!!!!

    And finally!!! Broom Vehicle

All visuals, skybox, models and textures are mine same goes with the design of everything trees, characters etc. - only music is from diffrent source (Rayman 2).

You can press the pumpkin to laugh or jump and You can press the cauldron that is in the middle of the map.

Broom sadly works like swoop but in mp You can fly a little (Vehicle_fighter class was removing the cahracter model.... sadly)

    HAVE FUN! AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

  2. Cornmaze

    *Halloween Contest 2017 Entry*
This is a smallish maze map with some cemetery elements thrown in because why not. It's definitely geared towards MP gameplay; Idk what you'd do with it in SP. There are some hiding places with pickups scattered around, as well as some breakable things. Hit things, spam your use button, and walk into things and eventually you'll find the secrets.

    Bugs and other things:
-The fog doesn't exactly play nice with the sky, but it's a minor issue.
-The ground is loud. If you're going for stealth, crouch-walk to avoid making noise.
    -Map is dark... of course.
-I have included the .map file.

  3. Haunted Halls

This map was released for the 2017 Halloween Contest on JKHub. It was the first map I completed and released since Inferno, which I released back in 2009. It was nice to actually finish something for a change.

Players start out in a large central chamber, which is perfect for hanging out and casual dueling. Branching off from this chamber are six different rooms, each with a unique challenge for players to face. The halls leading to these rooms are haunted, though; they change frequently, and enjoy leading you to places you didn't want to go.

Two rooms are special duel rooms: one with a platform that dips itself into lava, and the other with some mischievous torches that like to turn off when you least expect it. Not scared of the dark? Watch your step anyway--you might fall on the spikes.

The other four rooms are games. There's a maze room (with walls that are constantly changing), a guessing game room (which punishes you for wrong guesses), a bottomless pit room (with bridges and stairs that like to disappear), and a room with working slot machines (where you place bets with your health). All of the games present their own unique challenges.

Winning a game will reward you with "gems." You can collect up to 10 gems and use them for special rewards within the map.
There are 4 rewards you can get:

-1 gem will let you teleport to any game room, without using the hallways.
-2 gems will let you choose from two types of music.
-4 gems will restore your health.
-7 gems will give you continuous healing--until you die, you will return to full health every time you are hurt.

All rewards can be accessed using the floating icons in the central chamber.

This is the most interactive map I have ever made. My previous map, Inferno, was focused solely on visuals--and I think I made it look pretty cool. But then I realized that players want stuff to do, not just stuff to look at. This is my attempt to give them both.

This is also the first time I have made a map focused on a specific theme. My approach to the "Halloween" concept was to use lots of green and yellow light, tons of shadow, and plenty of weird, random, assymetrical scenery. I wanted to break out of the usual pattern of bloody, gory, death-centric Halloween ideas, and make the map "spooky" in my own way. Hope you enjoy it!

NOTE: Yes, this map is dark. On my monitor, it's not too dark to see, but since every monitor is different, I can't make it perfect for everyone. If it's too dark for you, please just turn up your brightness in-game.

  4. Jawa Honours V 2016

A cozy Jedi Temple built into a snowy cliff side. Built in 2016 to host the Jawa Honours. May this act of peace bring us closer to home.

Origion - Back in early 2016 Silink of the Jawa clan commisioned a small map from me. At first all he wanted was a nice Ceremony hall styled in a Jedi's Home meets Christmas theme. Well I went a bit overboared and expanded on it heavily.

Later that year a disagreement between myself and the leadership of Jawa lead to me making some @$$ hole moves and removing the map for them to dled and revoking there rights to my products.
Well time's passed and I hope perhaps giving it back to them will begin to mend some of those bridges.

Any ways I hope you all enjoy JH16. It's not perfect, I built the entire thing in less then 7 weeks, even borrowing a few things from Jedi's Home 3 to speed up the process. It still never met my general quality specifications and I never had time to adjust several of the FPS effecting area's.

Known bugs - The normals around the edges of the windows outside look a bit off. It can be a bit laggy in places due to being in a hurry to meet the deadline.
Takes a bout 30 - 90 seconds depending on your system to load the map due to a pretty sharp lightmapping and overboared detailing XD.

  6. Arena of The Redsaurus

A small arena in a mountain environment. I started to work on this map around 2013 and it was supposed to be a map for a clan but development had long breaks through the years. As I was participated in Secret Santa 2016 it gave me the final push so with a few modifications I decided to give this map to Redsaurus.
Doors and counters can be operated by buttons in the middle platform.

This is a second version of my first train battle, almost none of the original material is present except the steam locomotive which has been overhauled for more realism. gravity has been added as well as a push if you fall off, however if you do fall off the train your still met with a semi instant death.

  10. Siege of Dac

    Release Date: 18.11.2016
    Filesize: ~12MB
    Story background:
As invasion moves forward, Sith forces had managed to break thin line of Alliance defenses and are directly threating Dac system. Small strike team from local garrison slipped through enemy's security systems. Few Jedi Knights are trying to reach bridge deck, before invasion starts. Eliminating Sith leader just in time might save whole planet from total annihilation...

    Description:
Play as a Jedi (BLUE team) or Sith forces (RED team) on this TFFA map. The fate and the result of this extremely important clash is in your hands. Map was designed for saber dueling and epic cinematics. It has several breakable objects (mostly glass and some cables), traps (huge heat radiators may harm or even kill you) and powerful trigger on the bridge, which completely changes whole room after activating (use your lightsaber or force push to activate it).
This is my second map, it was meant to be small and full of lights/effects, but it has developed to be a little bit larger. Although I've added FFA and DUEL gametypes, I would strongly suggest using TFFA gametype, just for the "story" purposes. I placed spawnpoints in distant areas, so fight should occur in the middle section, and later move on the bridge itself. I wouldn't recommend fighting in BLUE team spawn area though.

Lastly, I would like to give an advice for current or future mappers. This map was meant to be a short project, but it somehow took me extra months to finish. I've learned a lot during that time, made many changes to initial idea and, for sure, as many mistakes. I wasn't really keen to rush this map, but it started to delay me from different projects. It shows the neccesity of planning everything before you start building it in Radiant. You will save yourself a lot of precious time.

Also, check out my previous project: Yavin 4 Riverside

    Instructions:

Put pk3 file to your gamedata/base directory. Choose map from in-game menu (TFFA, Duel, Power Duel, FFA modes) or open your console and type /devmap siege_of_dac

    Known bugs:
If you're having problems with performance (low fps, etc.) turn off dynamic glow.
Explosion effects at the bridge sometimes won't play after restarting map and on modded servers. Dunno why. Map will work corectly on base jk3, but more advanced mods/overhauls might override effects.

    Copyright/License:
Feel free to download and play. If you want something different, such as reuploading to different sites than jkhub, contact me here (@kwenga). I do not claim any rights to music/soundtrack. Full credits to original creators and author of the remix.

  13. Last Night

This is a Halloween-themed map, created for the JKHub Halloween Contest 2016. It's very much incomplete. I didn't have time to spend too much time on it. There are some little secrets that you can find. The Use key is your friend (or enemy).

I may actually finish it later on. This does have everything it needs to be playable, and is available for FFA, TFFA, Duel, and Power Duel. It also has bot routes.

    -===- Known Bugs -===-

Lots. Trees can be walked through. Probably some brush glitches here and there. Skybox is crap. Lots to fix.

Much love and thanks to Rooxon for creating all the cool models you see in the map, like the pumpkin, shovel, pickaxe, etc. I think his items turned out better than the map itself.

  16. The Forest House for Jedi Academy

Forest house was a very popular map during it's time in Jedi Outcast. Back by popular demand,
8 years after it's original release, Forest House is now re-released for Jedi Academy thanks to JKHub.org!
Forest House was so popular, =LM= had our own JK2 server dedicated to the map back in the day.
I also noticed it received 12,287 downloads on JK2files to this day on JK2files. Crazy!!!

I have re-evaluated a few things in the map a little bit to help framerate and just a little
tidying up a few things here and there. Reworking this map brings back a lot of memories of all the
fun times we had with the Forest House.

  19. [Base-MB2] Duel on the Starkiller Base - EP7

Smallish map I made for the JKHub Holiday Competition, I am a big fan of Star Wars and I've made some maps for the MBII mod, but most of them have been mostly for fun gameplay. This is my first "serious" map based on a movie. I haven't really watched the movie yet, but I read the whole plot and took inspiration from other places, this project was also highly experimental as I tried many different things I've known but never used, I hope you enjoy it!

Full Siege MB2 map coming soon!

  24. NeoTokyo

    Description

NeoTokyo, site of Timesplitters 2, was the subject of this map. Up front, I wish to note that I've never played that particular game, and thus my comments have no bearing on its accuracy to the game's rendering. Only on what I see... and man, what I see looks nice.

With maps like these coming out, why we MR types don't follow up on our Forum announced releases is beyond me. Must be too lazy, I guess. Anyhow...

    Architecture

    Solid. Solid. Solid.

Oh, and it's solid, too. Some may argue that it's blocky as well, but I don't agree to that at all. I may not be a master of the Patch Mesh like some, but I am known to love them to death... and I also know when they dont really belong. This is one of the maps they don't belong in - at least not in large numbers.

The setting is urban... where, traditionally, architecture tends toward the blocky and squared off, with the odd curve here and there for contrast. This map does exactly that. Details are there to be seen, and curves are there to accentuate, but they aren't overbearing in any fashion. As it should be.

Numerous different mapping techniques can be seen in this map. From the old-style func_train (an over-head monorail car that zooms back and forth) to func_usables on timers (working traffic lights and Walk/Don't Walk signs), Szico shows a great grasp of JA entities.

Especially for a 3 and a half week build, this map will quickly grab your attention... and it'll definately show you a trick or two.

What little I did find off was more from the aesthetic stance. And one problem I *suspect* but couldn't really confirm.

My first note is on scale - this can make or break some maps. Some items, when constructed, simply have to be in scale to the player. For the most part, Szico has this firmly in hand. However, there are two things that grabbed my attention.

The screens in some of the window displays on the main road (a nice touch, BTW) are either computer screens or TVs. Either way, theres a scale problem. If they are screens, they are far too large (unless 24" Computer Screens are now the vogue in NeoTokyo). If they are TVs, they are far too small (unless Retro-Sized TVs are in vogue).

Second is the stairways. The steepness I don't mind... some cultures (The Dutch come to mind) build them that way to take up less space. However, the actual SIZE of the upstep is a bit of an issue. They just look too large.

And the part I can't confirm? My pet peeve - clip brushes on stairs. These are so steep that I can't really tell if they are there or not. I suspect not, since when going slow I get the feeling I'm stepping on each one individually, but I can't really confirm it due to the angles involved... so Szico - you get the benefit of the doubt. No points off for you.

    Score : 9 of 10

    Texture & Lighting

Here, this map really shines - no pun intended.

The texture work is simply amazing. Custom textures and shader work are all over the place, priniciply in two forms: The large number of custom signs (some of which even change color) and the textures used for ground cover, which have a wet sheen and env-maps to simulate the semi-reflection you would get off such streets.

It's all great, and adds a TON of atmosphere.

The remainder of the texturing is spot on, with no overstretching or inappropriately placed textures at all. While some appear to be stock, it's really hard to tell which ones are (to my eye, anyhow) as they all seem to fit the scene perfectly.

Lighting only serves to accentuate the texturing and the architecture - exactly as it's supposed to. It's simply superb... and that's all I have to say about that.

    Level Flow

This map is designed for all of the major gameplay types: FFA, TFFA, Duel, Power Duel, and CTF. That's a tall order for most maps, as they all have different flow reliances. FFA and TFFA require that there be plenty of room and a circular nature of some kind. Duel and Power Duel require that you be able to find and attack your foe(s) in relatively quick order. And CTF... well, I'm no CTF expert, but I know it takes multiple routes to and from the flags on multiple elevations if possible.

Yet somehow, this map seems to have gotten all of this into one map. Impressive... just as the rest of the map has been.

I only found one seeming dead end, in the sewer area near a force-field enclosed area. I am pretty sure it ISN'T a dead end... I just couldn't figure out how to open it with that saber wielding maniac behind me (you KNOW I had to work him in there somehow...). Something a bit more obvious to indicate how it opens may help here. Or maybe, I'm just blind.

    Fun Factor

The eye candy and attention to detail alone make this map fun and impressive - most servers should probably have this on the rotation. For those keeping score, that's a first recommendation for that from me. I loved this - and I just don't normally say that about a map that isn't mine. (OK, I'm biased - sue me.)

    Extras

The music is the stand-apart extra in this map - I have no idea what it is, where it came from, or anything else about it, but it fits. In some ways, it reminds me of one of the themes in Fifth Element (though obviosuly, this isn't from that movie.) It's quiet enough to remain in the background for the most part, but loud enough to provide even more atmosphere.

    Overall

Amazing. Simply amazing for a 3 and a half week build. Most mappers won't be able to map at this quality level in that kind of time. Szico, you're setting a high bar - and that can't help but be good. Superb job - PLEASE keep it up.

  25. Bridge of Awesome

A bridge with lots of opportunities to jump, climb, and generally very three-dimensional gameplay. Fun to play with or without weapons.
Watch out for the train coming through every now and then...

Designed with mostly FFA in mind, but also works well as a duel map, and makes for interesting CTF gameplay as well.
