Lightsaber Hilt Collection

Description
A collection of lightsaber hilts from the films, tv shows, games, eu etc.
Installation
Extract saber_plasma.pk3 into your base folder usually located at:
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base
Known Bugs
Jedi Academy has a limit of 64 lightsaber hilts that can show in the menu list which means a lot of the lightsabers in this pack will not appear in that list.
You can still use all the lightsaber hilts in this pack but you have to use console commands to access the ones that are being cut off.
To do this in MP open up the console and type in:
/saber1 <saber_name>
and hit enter then your lightsaber hilt will change the next time you spawn.
Example
/saber1 saber_ezra
If you're using dual lightsabers you'll also have to set the second lightsaber by typing:
/saber2 <saber_name>
and hit enter then your second lightsaber hilt will change the next time you spawn.
Example
/saber2 saber_cal
For singleplayer open up the console and type in:
helpusobi 1
Then type:
saber <saber_name>

Converted Sabers Expansion

A simple mod that adds 5 crossguard sabers, 5 backhand sabers, 4 saber pikes, and 4 hinged lightsabers, using parts from saber hilts that were already in the game, hence "Converted Sabers." Usable in both singleplayer and multiplayer. This also adds 4 new Reborn bots that use these sabers.
You can also change sabers in-game using cheats. Enable cheats by pressing Shift and ~, then typing "helpusobi 1" into the console.
Now that cheats are enabled, type "saber (name)", replacing (name) with any of the saber names listed below.
Here are the names of the sabers:

-BUGS-
Sometimes, if your character cannot move while saber(s) are on, the game cannot decide whether you're using saber staff or dual sabers. This can be fixed by restarting the game and reloading the level.
There is a rare chance that the maps vjun3 and kor2 may not load every 2nd time, especially with the crossguard saber replacement mod. Press ESC to exit the loading screen and reload the level.

Dual-phase sabers

This small mod - is my attempt to add some new saber type in Jedi Academy - Dual-phase. As I can remember, this type of lightsaber was only in Legends, but JA - is a Legends too, so I think it's fine)) I have no unic models, so I just make dual-phase versions of all basic single sabers.
So, what type of lightsaber is this? That's what Wookiepedia says: "A dual-phase lightsaber was a special variant of lightsaber that used one or a combination of focusing crystals to create a blade that could extend up to triple the original length with a simple activation. Unlike typical lightsabers, which often possessed a manual adjuster for reducing the blade emission, the dual-phased blade could be triggered in an instant, adding an element of surprise to catch an opponent off guard." (In my version blade length doubles)
And, yeah, it's a bit imbalanced, I know... Why so? It's because of two factors: first - there is two blades at one point, consequently - double damage. Why I don't used "damageScale" attribute with 0.5 value? Because it will decrease damage of all blades. And I want to have normal damage with one activated blade. Second one - is "Desann" saber style. It's imbalanced by itself, not my fault)) Anyway, I just wanted to do saber type, that was an improved version of "strong" style, like staff - is an improved "medium", and dual - is "fast". That's why I used Desann style.

Accurate Darksaber mod

The infamous Darksaber is a weapon of old, passed down from generations of Mandalorians. The one in possession of the blade rightfully rules all of Mandalore. I have revamped this mod designed by Jose Carlos in 2013. It was near perfect, but unfortunately lacked the accurate sounds that the sword produces. I intend to take Jose's work one step closer to perfection by replacing all of the original sound files with the sounds we know and love from the Mandalorian TV series. While some other Darksaber mods have somewhat realistic sounds, none of them have set tones for "Saber Throw" or other specific combinations. Additionally, none of the other mods have the actual Darksaber blade modeled onto it. This download has all of those things for you to enjoy in this amazing game. I love Jedi Academy, and I think it's time for us to be able to finally wield our favorite lightsaber!

Buster Saber
This is the Buster Saber! It's a lightsaber I made for personal use, but decided to release for anyone else who might like it.
It's heavily inspired by Cloud Strife's Buster Sword, and features two materia set in the handle. The materia comes in three colors: Green, purple, and yellow.

Lore :
Gjallarsaber was created by a Twilek jedi Padawan called Laszlo Kovács, his master ; Ronor Ragir was attacked by group of Iktotchies led by a Sith called Zashku Zaar...
After a long battle, Zaar executed master Ragir. Out of rage, the padawan pulled his lightsaber and managed kill all of them one by one. Laszlo was not a padawan anymore...
He ripped the horns off the body of Zaar and crafted a new lightsaber, combining the hilt of his master with the horns of his Zaar.

Electrostaffs and Lightsaber Pike

Originaly I created this mod for my personal use, but now I guess some people may find it usefull.
I play JKA on android, so i reduced polycount and texture size of rooxon's model a bit.
The electro effect of the weapon is part of it's model, so it will not go away when the weapon is deactivated.
What does go away thou is weapon's sound and dlight. I guess that might be considered a bug, but that doesn't bother me much.
Maybe I will think how to fix this in future.

CHEATS FOR THE SABER:
SP - enable cheats via console with "helpusobi 1", then type the corresponding command for your weapon of choice:

JSS Curved Sith Lightsaber Hilt

The other day I came across this picture while browsing some lightsaber designs on Google Images. It's a lightsaber hilt designed and built by Judge Sabersmith, a user from the fx-sabers forums. This is a post that I found on fx-sabers.com which contains more information, as well as more pictures of the real hilt.
There are some minor clipping issues as a result of the pommel being curved. Red stance has practically no clipping, blue is minimal and yellow is a little distracting. I can't seem to find any way to prevent this from happening except for flipping the hilt the other way around, however that'll make it look awkward when its being held at the side.
As always, I've included two versions of the pk3. The one inside the folder called Replacement will replace the Firebrand hilt with the "JSS" hilt, and the one inside the Individual folder is just the saber without any replacement nonsense.

Demp2 Lightsaber Hilt

This is the fifth lightsaber I've made from in-game parts. For this one, I took the Destructive Electromagnetic Pulse 2 ion carbine (Demp2) and rearranged some pieces and some UV's. I wish the hilt had a few more pieces to make it a bit longer, but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The High Republic Inspired Lightsaber Hilt

This is the first "from scratch" model I've done for JKA. I was inspired by Doughnuts' model of Stellan Gios's Lightsaber, and wanted to make a hilt that had some crossguards on it. Based the shape of the saber off of this.
As always, I've included two versions of the pk3. The one inside the folder called Replacement will replace the Firebrand hilt with the "HR" hilt, and the one inside the Individual folder is just the saber without any replacement nonsense.

Scout Blaster Lightsaber Hilt

I wanted to try something different for this lightsaber. Instead of using the base game assets to build this hilt, I used Rooxon's model of the Scout Blaster. As this was made by Rooxon and not from the base game, the textures are much higher resolution than that of my previous hilts. This hilt also has the added bonus of a nice metallic shader, thanks to the .shader file that Rooxon included with his model. At the moment, I find the shader to be a bit too strong, making the texture a little hard to see. Still needs work but I’m happy with how this one turned out.
If anyone has any requests or suggestions for hilts, please feel free to let me know!

FC1 Flechette Lightsaber Hilt

This is the fourth lightsaber I've made. I used parts from the FC1 Flechette. In my render, I was able to make the buttons glow red using lighting in Blender. The buttons don’t glow in game in the current version of the saber, but I plan to update it with a glow shader at some point.
Thanks to Untold Prophecy for the suggestion.

E-11 Blaster Lightsaber Hilt

This is the third lightsaber I've made from in-game weapons. Took the iconic Stormtrooper blaster (E-11) and hacked it apart. I removed the long bar under the barrel as well as the handle, and used the scope of the blaster as the emitter. Like my previous hilt, this lightsaber is roughly about the length of the Katarn hilt.

Heavy Repeater Lightsaber Hilt

This is my second lightsaber that I've made from weapons within the game. I took pieces from the Heavy Repeater and moved them around until I was happy with how it looked. It’s proportions are about that of the Katarn hilt.

Bryar Pistol Lightsaber Hilt

This is my first attempt at modding blasters/sabers. Was looking at some pictures of the Bryar pistol and thought that it might make a cool looking lightsaber hilt. I cut off the handle and a couple other little pieces, added a button and turned the barrel of the blaster into the emitter for the blade.

Great mod. Introduces some QoLs and modern resolution. However, it also introduces many bugs that alter the experience. VJun2: Kyle gets stuck in ceiling after water pump cutscene and there's no way to skip VJun3: There's a hole in the middle the combat room against Rosh that leads to the cutscene Cult Investigation- Tanaab: This mission is completely screwed. The containers are missing and the room transitions textures are missing.- 1

Jedi Academy PBR Retexture

PBR textures to use with compatible renderers (rend2 in particular). This package covers most of SP textures and some of MP. It also includes reflection probes for SP levels, There are some known issues, especially with md3 normal maps, and please report in comments about any problems you see. Installation Extract two pk3 files to the "base" directory. Note: base color textures override default diffuse textures. As a result, this package makes everything look flat with vanilla renderer. I recommend to install OpenJK with rend2 plus "Setup UI" (or use console commands) to enable reflections, parallax mapping and SSAO. Usage All modders are allowed to use these files in their project without additional permission, but if you fix bugs in my shaders or textures please share them with me to keep this package up to date. -

JKHub Exclusive 28 New Saber Colors
Great mod! super colors! I only wish the colors remained in cinematics instead of snapping back to original color - is there a way to change that? There are saber hilts available in game menu - does anybody know how to add colors? Just a thought! -

Jedi Academy: Enhanced
Hello, I absolutely love this mod and just got it installed today, but I ran into one issue I can't resolve or troubleshoot (at least not to the best of my knowledge) and I need help! No matter what I do, Jaden just skates/glides on the ground instead of running! It happens every time, without a fail. I'm not the best when it comes to installing mods, did I not install the mod correctly? Below I will attach a gif of what happens to me to see if anyone can help with my issue. Captain Pellaeon - Heir to the Empire
Mods like this always make me smile. The concept is straight forward, but its a character that is super important to anyone that enjoyed the Legacy books. Pellaeon had such a rich and long history and the execution of this model is perfect. The face is unique and lifelike. Very well crafted.- 1
