After one year when i made this MOD, the movie come out and guess what.. the movie was more weak than Star Wars - Episode 1. The effects are ok... but the story was lame. Its seems this days the movie industry is lame. George Lucas it's a old man, greedy for the money ! J.J. Abrams is not enough experienced film director for Star Wars !
What is NEW in this Version 3 :
..well after i receive thousands of messages and downloads.. (more than 8000.. LOL!)
..i decided to improve the lightsaber for free with better blade effect and sound for
www.jkhub.org - only ! I will not include for free the animations and trail effect.
This is the final version for Kylo Ren - Unstable Lightsaber.
Instructions to play this MOD:
1. Download my file: Xeby_KyloRen_SaberV3.pk3
2. Copy and paste the pk3 file from this zip file to your "base" folder,
the default path is "C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/Base".
3. In the JKA game press [shift]+[~] then in the console write: saber xeby_kyloren.

Lightsaber Hilt Collection

Description
A collection of lightsaber hilts from the films, tv shows, games, eu etc.
Installation
Extract saber_plasma.pk3 into your base folder usually located at:
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base
Known Bugs
Jedi Academy has a limit of 64 lightsaber hilts that can show in the menu list which means a lot of the lightsabers in this pack will not appear in that list.
You can still use all the lightsaber hilts in this pack but you have to use console commands to access the ones that are being cut off.
To do this in MP open up the console and type in:
/saber1 <saber_name>
and hit enter then your lightsaber hilt will change the next time you spawn.
Example
/saber1 saber_ezra
If you're using dual lightsabers you'll also have to set the second lightsaber by typing:
/saber2 <saber_name>
and hit enter then your second lightsaber hilt will change the next time you spawn.
Example
/saber2 saber_cal
For singleplayer open up the console and type in:
helpusobi 1
Then type:
saber <saber_name>
Example
saber saber_vader
If you want two lightsabers:
type saber <saber_name1> <saber_name2>

One thing I noticed was that there were no hilt packs on JKHub. There were a bunch on JK3Files, but none were uploaded here. I figured I should combine the best ones.
This mod's goal is to bring together the best lightsaber hilts that have been made for JK2 and JA and make them easily accessible in the SP menu and in the game in general. I take no credit for any of these models or skins, although I did tweak a couple of them a bit.

Kylo Ren's Lightsaber

I bring you my version of Kylo Ren's lightsaber hilt or rather, two different toned versions. Compatible with AshuraDX's version of the same hilt!
Summary:
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Copy and paste the kyloren.pk3 from this zip file to your "base" folder,
the default path is "C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/Game data/Base".
Additionally, if you want to play with the altered Orange saber blade to match the one seen in the trailer of Ep7,
copy over the kyloren_orangeblade.pk3 file to your base folder.
What's more, if you want this saber to replace the Arbiter (First single saber), copy over to your base folder the
kyloren_SPreplacement.pk3 file.
DESCRIPTION: Kylo Ren's lightsaber, from the upcoming Star Wars Episode 7 and a hilt requested by one of our members Nikomaru14
Comes with holstering support, .mtr file support for rend2, custom shaders,
special properties (3 blades, return damage), custom orange blade, SP replacement,
two different versions of the texture and also for those who want to use it via console in SP,
type in "saber kylo1" for the light one or "saber kylo2" for the dark one.
BUGS: A bit of clipping on the hand if viewed close-up.

Kylo Ren's Lightsaber

This is Kylo Ren's Lightsaber. If you didn't already know, Kylo Ren
is the main antagonist in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. His unique
saber is built very poorly and must utilize two ventilation ports at
the top of the saber. It is, however, of ancient design that dates
back to the Great Scourge of Malachor. Due to the saber containing
a cracked Kyber crystal, the blade has a very unstable look to it.
This saber includes custom sounds that are accurate to the ones featured
in the film. It has an optional Blade Effect as well as single player support.

This is a set of custom lightsaber designs I made. For those of you paying attention, yes the Azlon Tir model is my personal saber, and the design of the actual character's saber in the story I am writing (don't expect it anytime soon folks, I havent gotten very far with writing it)
Anyway, there are 3 single hilts and 1 lightstaff. They all feature spec mapping.
If you have my high-detail Obi Wan RotS hilt, then you already have support for these in both SP and MP.

DESCRIPTION: Mixed sabers pack, or rather, all else that doesn't fit in the Single or Dual pack.
All weapons recreated from scratch and based on their original counterparts.
(Lines in blue are changes new in version 1.0 Final)
- Kyle, Luke, Desann and some Reborns/Rosh got newer versions of their hilts
- New Noghri stick
- New Tusken rifle
- New Tusken staff (Gaffi stick)
- Tavion got her very own hilt! The Revenger!
- Alora's equipped with her very own Gemini dual hilts!
- Reborn's equipped with Zefilus's design of the Stinger.
- New Sith weapons (Sword, scepter)
If you want to play with the new additional hilts in SP through some console help, first make sure to enable cheats with "helpusobi 1", then type the line for each hilt respectively:
- "saber tavion"
- "saber reborn_new" - Zefilus's Stinger design
- "saber alora1"
- "saber alora2"
- "saber reborn"
All of them have custom shaders full of variety. I have also tweaked some .npc files for SP support or rather, so that the correct people use the correct sabers!
Also, some surprises, three in fact. Can you find them all?
BUGS: Probably some, as I packed this up quite quickly. Will fix anything that may come up!
COMMENTS: Don't worry, just have fun with the pack. Also, the Tusken staff was a request by one of our members, namely Langerd. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Dual Sabers Pack - Rooxon's WeaponsHD

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Copy and paste the WHD_DSP_05.pk3 from this zip file to your "base" folder,
the default path is "C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/Game data/Base".
DESCRIPTION: The original dual sabers recreated - with additional features, more are to be added in the future!
- New models and textures created from scratch!
- 6 single hilts in addition to the 5 staff hilts, the single saber counterparts of the dual ones
- All sabers have return damage
- Staffs are throwable
- Staff sabers with one blade turned off are not throwable anymore
- Some sabers have slightly lower saber blades, if their hilt is long (in height)
- Broken saber support
- All of them have MP support!
If you wish to play with the single sabers in SP, open up your console, enable cheats with either "helpusobi 1" or "devmapall", then type:
saber single_16 (Guardian single)
saber single_17 (Avenger single)
saber single_18 (Vindicator single)
saber single_19 (Champion single)

FUTURE PLANS: This is the first pack I deem completed, at least for now. These models won't be updated anymore, just the textures.

Fixed Saber Hilts

This mod fixes the base lightsabers to be a bit higher in the hand. If you notice, all of them are held very low in the game, it looks unnatural. All single hilts are affected, including Luke's, Desann's, and the Reborn hilt, but not Kyle's hilt, as it wasn't needed. Staff hilts were fine as well.

Hopefully no bugs with animations or anything like that.
I'm surprised this wasn't done before, as this has bothered me for years.

Darksaber

"The darksaber was an ancient lightsaber that was stolen by the Mandalorians during a collapse in power of the Galactic Republic. Unique among other lightsabers, the darksaber possessed a flat, black-colored blade that came to a sharp point much like a traditional vibrosword, rather than the rounded beam of more standard lightsabers. It had a uniquely black core surrounded by a white glow and gave off a higher pitched hum when active than more widespread lightsabers were known to make by the time of the Clone Wars."

This update brings a fixed sizing of the model once again, the screenshots on JKHub show it all to you.
I think this might be the before-last version. I'm gonna see what else comes up, also I'm gonna try to recreate
0.1 model resized like this one, even for just one single request. A real moder gives his all for the community,
or so I think.
BUGS:
I fixed all possible bugs reported, though there was a request for the 0.1 model resize version... I'm sorry,
I can't give you that since I modified the max file and overwrote the 0.1 model, naturally. I could try to recreate it
but I don't think it's needed since this model is as nice as it can be.
COMMENTS:
Please mind that the addon replaces all defender sabers ingame with Revan's!
If you have any further requests or ideas for it, feel free to message me, though if there's more, I'll wait, do variations and release them as one pack.

Nothing special needed for these to work in Jedi Academy...
Just put the JKDF2_Sabers_v1-01.pk3 (or JKDF2_Sabers_v1-00.pk3 if you are running JKA version 1.00)
in your JA base folder, along with the JKDF2_Blades.pk3 for the JKDF2 saber blades, and it's all set...
As a bonus, I have included some of the sabers from the concept artwork shown in the install of JKDF2. Have fun with them!
ALSO, I have heard of people posing as me on JKA 1.01. Note: I DO NOT play jka version 1.01, i play version 1.00.
Remove any older versions from your base folder, to avoid conflicts.

Broken staff sabers for SP
Installing this file will in a sense patch the game so that in single player when you cut a enemys staff in half (yes it works, it's rare and only works in SP) they will weild 2 halves of the staff model they used and weild them in the dual saber style. These models are selectable in the MP menu if for whatever reason you want to use them that way, they just have simple names relating to their staff counterpart.
This was a simple mod I made in my free time taking a mere hour to simply import all the staffs, delete half of them and export, the .sab file to make them work was already included in the assets.
To install this mod just unzip the broken sabers.pk3 file into your /Lucas Arts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/base/ folder.

Great mod. Introduces some QoLs and modern resolution. However, it also introduces many bugs that alter the experience. VJun2: Kyle gets stuck in ceiling after water pump cutscene and there's no way to skip VJun3: There's a hole in the middle the combat room against Rosh that leads to the cutscene Cult Investigation- Tanaab: This mission is completely screwed. The containers are missing and the room transitions textures are missing.- 1

Jedi Academy PBR Retexture

PBR textures to use with compatible renderers (rend2 in particular). This package covers most of SP textures and some of MP. It also includes reflection probes for SP levels, There are some known issues, especially with md3 normal maps, and please report in comments about any problems you see. Installation Extract two pk3 files to the "base" directory. Note: base color textures override default diffuse textures. As a result, this package makes everything look flat with vanilla renderer. I recommend to install OpenJK with rend2 plus "Setup UI" (or use console commands) to enable reflections, parallax mapping and SSAO. Usage All modders are allowed to use these files in their project without additional permission, but if you fix bugs in my shaders or textures please share them with me to keep this package up to date. -

Great mod! super colors! I only wish the colors remained in cinematics instead of snapping back to original color - is there a way to change that? There are saber hilts available in game menu - does anybody know how to add colors? Just a thought! -

Jedi Academy: Enhanced
Hello, I absolutely love this mod and just got it installed today, but I ran into one issue I can't resolve or troubleshoot (at least not to the best of my knowledge) and I need help! No matter what I do, Jaden just skates/glides on the ground instead of running! It happens every time, without a fail. I'm not the best when it comes to installing mods, did I not install the mod correctly? Below I will attach a gif of what happens to me to see if anyone can help with my issue. Captain Pellaeon - Heir to the Empire
Mods like this always make me smile. The concept is straight forward, but its a character that is super important to anyone that enjoyed the Legacy books. Pellaeon had such a rich and long history and the execution of this model is perfect. The face is unique and lifelike. Very well crafted.- 1
