roleplaying RPG Yalara

Hello all, and thank you for checking out this file.
This is RPG Yalara v2, a revival and remastering of the original Yalara RP map by CydonPrax, then known as Ki-Adi-Mundi. The map is very popular with RP communities, and as such, I thought I'd try to give it a little facelift. That facelift turned into a bit more time as I decided to completely redo entire sections of the map, so here we are.
The readme will contain a full list of the changes, should you wish to see them. One of the biggest changes is a marked improvement in performance, as I believe the original map never had a full -vis compile. So portalling is done better and as such, the city and temple exterior sections run much smoother.
A friendly alert that this map will likely require OpenJK to run, as it seems that base versions don't support the number of triggers / interactables present on this map. Under those conditions, the elevators in the temple don't work. However, you can still access the second floor via a teleport on the map; check out the readme for info on that.
Anyways, I hope those of you still RPing can enjoy the map, and I look forward to hopefully producing another!

A new map I've created for RP to be used as a 'trial' or 'lesson' for Force Sense.
- Start chamber
- Pitch black labyrinth with multiple different passageways to the end
- End chamber
You can spawn NPC's throughout the labyrinth that can be seen with force sense, to help people navigate through the maze.
There is a trigger at the back of the player spawn which will turn on lights throughout the maze.
Went for an old temple type feeling to it with atmospheric lighting from torches and crystal lamps.

The map in its original form comes with the structure only, the rest of the work was done by me.

Description with installation instructions:
This is a small TFFA focused map but can be used for FFA, Duel and Power Duel game modes as well. There are a few rooms other than the main area. There is a meeting room for squad leaders/clan leaders/event hosts to plan matches, there is a bar (because why not?) but the bar is one of 2 secret areas that you will have to find the entrance to. The other secret area i will not show, you will just have to find it. If you use noclip to find it, then you will still need to find the button to get in the normal way xD!!
It should also be noted that there are separate spawn points for FFA and TFFA. The FFA spawn points are in a hallway just off of the main room. The TFFA spawn points are in the main room so you don't have to keep traveling back to the main room when you spawn.
There is a total of 1 NPC upon map startup. There is a Howler under the glass floor in the spawn room. His name is Toby. xD
It also has a small tribute to (JAWA) Council member, and one of my good friends, Andanas who passed away a few months ago...
I've been mapping on and off for years but this is the very first map I have ever released publicly. I hope you all enjoy it!!

First Jedi Temple

I'm not an expert in creating maps. But I made an effort to make something that would amuse the players. The map tries to be something like to the First Jedi Temple of Ahch To. I have placed weapons, ammo and health recovery items so that the player can have fun freely. In other maps I tend to do something more RPG-oriented, but this one I tried to avoid that. Unfortunately, no one made perfect maps related to the new Star Wars movies and/or series. That's why I built this map, because of that desire. Thank you all! Have fun.

Cavrilhu Pirates Base

A recreation of parts of the Cavrilhu Pirates Base, based on the description from Specter of the Past by Timothy Zahn. It is an asteroid in the Amorris system, in the Kauron asteroid field. It features a landing pad, quite a few corridors, a trap (recreated as best I could from the description from Specter of the Past, but thank multiplayer for having to downgrade it!), a warehouse and several rooms.
I included the map file and script sources, in case anyone wanted to take a look.
I didn't find any bug, although I may have missed a couple of caulked spots here and there.
To install, unpack the file Cavrilhu.pk3 in your GameData/Base folder. To uninstall, remove Cavrilhu.pk3 from your GameData/Base folder.

I think this is my first ever public release of a map.
Welcome to the Galactic Beat Holonews Studio, deep in the entertainment district of Coruscant. Galactic Beat is the cores premier evening show, a blend of news, entertainment, sport and even cooking!
This map was intended to be bigger and feature more, but figure its best to release something than nothing at all. Originally created for the JEDI roleplaying community, it features
- Reception Area with movie memrobilla such as the Wampa costume from renowned holoseries 'Escaping the Wampa's Cave' and security gates
- Green room with view of studio
- Studio floor (light switches for studio lights)
- Set (News desk, cooking area, interview set and demonstration area).
BUG
- Unfortunately, you will have to noclip/teleport through the security gate as there is no way to open it from the outside (map designed with RP in mind)

The map is based on Monopoly Board Game. It has fully functioning Property Cards, houses and jail.
In addition, there are Chance and Community Chest Cards as presented on screenshots.
The map does not contain a fully functioning system, including a scoreboard, which would be Credits, and the map cannot randomly generate a number of the dices or chance cards.
It was way beyond my skills, I am afraid. If someone is willing to make it, message me, and I can send a source file.
The Monopoly_Low.pk3 has low resolution textures,
whereas the high version has high-quality textures, but it will affect loading time.
Hope you will enjoy this.

The map uses a Monopoly Main Theme.
Installation:

RPG Carida

This is a map I made in 2009 and which I am uploading mostly for archival purposes, but also for that modern audience that still has use for maps geared towards roleplaying.
The map features a fairly well-detailed military base with all the rooms that most role playing situations might require. To broaden the scope and utility of the map, it also includes a small town with starport and several shops and domiciles. Furthermore, the gunship functions as a teleporter to a ''killhouse zone' which might function as a practice area for urban combat. Likewise, the town itself leads into a short cave area that might serve to more options for different kinds of roleplay.

Devil's Cauldron

This map is the result of a sarlacc eating a dueling arena and then getting busy with a volcano.
The Devil's Cauldron could be considered a duel map because of its smaller size, but it's great for FFA as well. The atmosphere has a volcano feel. There is a dueling platform in the middle surrounded by lava. There are narrow walkways above the dueling platform as well.

Nightmare

This is a horror-themed multiplayer map based on the gameplay of "Slender" by Parsec Productions.
The map was made to accomodate Halloween and horror-type events of my clan {Jedi of Freedom} (Find us here --> jofacademy.eu)
How to play (Suggestion):
--------------------------
*Highly* suggest you disallow jumping/strafing for this.
Depending on the number of participants, designate one or two players the role of Slenderman.
Those players will then disperse roaming around the map trying not to "camp" any specific positions.
Everyone else remains at spawn awaiting the signal to start looking for pages.
Players cannot fight back against Slenderman. Slenderman can use force grip, speed and lightsaber to hunt enemies.
To initiate the game the host needs to teleport to the admin room located at ( 0 , 0 , -100 ) and press the button designated as "SPAWN 10 RANDOM PAGES".
There are 19 possible page locations, of which 10 will be activated and spawn their pages after the button is pressed.

->If you are using the base game client (jamp.exe) and not an OpenJK build/fork as your client (which you should be, it's 2021 at this point) place the file "zz_nightmareJAMP.pk3" into your installation directory, under ".../GameData/base/".
->If you are using an OpenJK build or a fork of it, place "zz_nightmare.pk3" in your directory instead.
The difference between the two versions are grass sprites in the shaders of textures that default JAMP doesn't handle properly. This issue is fixed in the OpenJK builds.

This map was made for the 2021 JKhub summer contest and based off Final Fantasy 7 references to Costa del sol from the original game and Crisis Core. Also took influence from the Final Fantasy 7 remake. Some areas in this map are never seen in any version of the Final Fantasy games so that’s where I took some creative liberties. Couple picks ups to be found and some jump challenges for strafers. Map is also fun to fly on or other events.
Lighting not fully done...wanted to use external light maps and blend the terrain more but ran out of time.

Tho boat sometimes does not move so requires a map restart to work also if a player blocks the boats movment it will mess up the animations for a full loop cycle of the animation intill it resets on its own.
