Praetorian Guard (Imperial)

It's been a few days since the release of the episode, and I loved the designs of the Praetorian Guards in the Imperial era, so I wanted to do a kitbash of them. Did some heavy vert manipulation for the helmet, using a Zakuul helmet model as a base. Enjoy!

Luke Skywalker (Dagobah Training)

After doing the post Mandalorian, Season 2 finale Luke Skywalker with Grogu on his back, I wanted to kit another Luke, but with his Master, Yoda, on his back! Yoda has a few taunts mixed in with Luke's when you do /taunt in the console, so have fun! I also included two separate .pk3's. One has the TOSHI head, and another has the Force Arena head. Only have one in your base!
Install Instructions: Put the "ZZ- Luke Skywalker (Dagobah).pk3" or "ZZ- Luke Skywalker (Dagobah, TOSHI).pk3" inside your base folder.

This is my second time uploading something here, so I'll try and be as concise as I can.
If you were looking for a dark souls/elden ring inspired character then this might be for you. This character was requested of me with a reference image attached that I tried to capture with some of my own adjustments along the way. The person requesting this is called Rain, a fellow member of JoF and he also wanted a scrolling emissive texture in the cavities of the model which I tried to accommodate.

Guardian Shell

Hello again
I have made another model based on drawings I made years ago. This has been a passion project for a while and I finally felt ready to pick up this challenge.

- Background
I started drawing this character on and off in 2016, before I knew anything about Zbrush or how to model anything like that. I have since become acquainted with Zbrush and other programs and finally felt ready to dive into this one.
The extra challenge was to make this for jka which has some obvious limitations.
These games back then didn't use PBR material, so I had to bake down the texture from the curvature, thickness, AO, Normal map, roughness etc. into Diffuse, Specular and Emission this was all possible with the help of AshuraDX(Rend2 does, but not everybody is using that).
I have made 3 LODs in addition to the original mesh, 100%, 50%, 25%, 12%. The lowest LOD was 1600 tris, made to improve on performance for the other players.
What's most important for these old games is actually the vert count. If it's anything above 10 000 then it's likely to crash whoever has the model. This is around 8700 verts, but I made LODs anyway just to be sure.
This is not the first model I've made with these limitations, but by far the most complicated.

- A short description of the character
So to further explain the model. I was thinking that it's a kind of shell that is being driven by a man on its back. The man is long dead, but has some kind of transference of his soul or whatever to the shell of the being to prolong his life.

- Design choice
As for the design of the character. It may appeal to some and some it may not, but I think it's important to remember what the aim is for the character.
I think what contributes to the busy-ness of the design may be the empty space or lack thereof. Like some spaces for the eye to rest and this character definitely doesn't give the viewer much of that.
It's generally a good exercise to think of how your character would look if you couldn't express them with so many details, even after removing them you should be left with a discernible shape.
Like pyramid head, even without details you would still recognize the character.
It's a good point to strive toward, to be able to see what it is without the details only going by the silhouette or the negative space.
Some of my previous works have been easier to tell, but this is a bit different. If I wanted to make it different, I would make certain aspects of the character more prominent so it's easier to recognise and it would be easier to understand the model.
My goal with this design was to make details so complicated that they kind of disappear in the background. So that the character becomes one with the environment which is also a valid aim I would say.
It's a fine line of when you have too little or too much, which probably depends on the style you're going for. Some characters are very maximalistic on purpose.

GustavoPredador's TFU Darth Vader PACK
I use the 3D model of The Force Unleashed as a base made by Krome Studios. Several armor modifications and texture improvements have been made, resulting in an even more striking appearance. with the help of ashuradx to edit the shaders, using animations from Clone Wars Stances and Effects Mod v6 created by Hirmanator. The result is smooth, lifelike movement that delivers a truly immersive experience. In addition, the mod has an extra version of the damaged version, suggested by Kryze511, which features Vader's helmet cut in half. And to complete, when turning on the Lightsaber, it is possible to hear the audios of the iconic character's normal breathing. If you're a Star Wars fan, you can't miss this amazing mod and feel like a true Sith Lord.

The legendary group of Bounty Hunters (Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, Zuckuss) first portrayed in The Empire Strikes Back, some probably never seen before in JKA! All created by Mat Gaunt except 4-LOM and Zuckuss which have been upgraded/rebuilt by Mat. I merely did weighting fixes here and there, plus added LODs to some of them.
The bunch comes with a bonus character named Bom Vimdin from Mos Eisley cantina what was a personal request of mine to Mat last Christmas and of course he nailed it. I'm really proud of his work in general so we thought it's time to share them with the community.

Kyle Katarn With Jacket

Sometime around 2012, I saw a photo on DeviantArt from a guy recreating Kyle Katarn from Star Wars Tales #21 "Equals and Opposites" comic book for Jedi Academy, and I was really inspired. I wanted to create the model myself, but unfortunately I didn't have the skills, so I only dreamed of ever playing with it. Although I found a few similar solutions, unfortunately I missed Kyle's original head from Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.
Then, by 2023, I worked up the courage to learn JK modelling and skinning at least enough to make the Kyle Katarn I had dreamed of. And since I read on a few forums that other people like this model, I'm sharing it with you.
The model has icons, but if they don't appear in the game, they can be accessed with the following commands in the console:

Jan Replacement

Wanted to try and edit Jan's base model a bit and this is how it turned out.
Gave her new eyebrows and added some details to her face texture, though some detail was lost because I had to mess around with the normals.
Added a new eye texture as well as hair from dscythegeo's Tera Hair Collection.
Install: drag and drop zzzzJanReplacementV2.pk3 into GameData/base
To play as her in game copy, paste the following command in the in game console:

Make sure you do this on a save where you already have a female character, unless you want her to have a male voice.

Finally we have non-ported versions of probably the two most notable dark side figures seen in the SWTOR trailers besides Darth Malgus: Sith Eradicator and Sith Imperial Trooper
Mongol The Unwise created both models, I merely converted (posed, rigged) them to JKA. Noob did texture adjusments on both, mainly to correct the imperial insignia on the trooper's armor.

Rule Of Two Pack (Darth Bane, Darth Zannah, Darth Cognus)

"There can always be two, no more, no less. One to embody power, one to crave it..."
It was always my goal to see a modern version of Darth Bane available in JKA. Since what we know about his looks/design is pretty vague and varies from source to source I chose to go with a mashup of the old comics and the novels' description. And of course, there cannot be Bane without his apprentice Darth Zannah, and hers, Darth Cognus.
This was probably one of the most challenging collaborations for me. Wouldn't have been possible without Commando04 whose work I found on Sketchfab. I converted Bane's head mesh to JA (lowered poly count, rigged) and did all the kitbashing work on the three models. Once more I can be grateful for having my friends GP Channel, EXE Noob and Dr. Chocolates making all the textures.

This is a character that I created to play at the JEDI role-playing community between 2016 and 2020.
I rarely play the character anymore, and I hope that someone in the community might be able to make use of this model or even reskin or expand on it.
There are only three versions: cal, cal/robe, and cal/hood. The ponytail sometimes clips through the torso, but not so much that it bothered me.
