QUICK SUMMARY:
This is just the first of many! A new Outcast replacement (Kyle's Lightsaber) is coming your way and it's coming fast!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Copy and paste the r_hrko.pk3 from this zip file to your "base" folder, the default path is "C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/Game data/Base".
Additionaly, if you want to replace The Arbiter (single_1) with this Outcast, copy over the r_hrko_sp.pk3 file as well!
DESCRIPTION:
Once more and for the final time. I tackle my project in hopes of completing it with quality and quantity as well, since I won't be doing only sabers anymore but guns as well! Starting with the most iconic hilt of them all!
New, pretty high-poly model (705 faces, 749 vertices) with new textures! New shader textures as well, but the shader alone is untouched (not even in the download package, it uses the vanilla one).
- Baked in xNormal
- Textured in Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop
- Modeled in 3D Studio Max 2016
The model is far from perfect in terms of a few topology issues on the base and n-gons. I had no choice but to keep it this way, since Substance Painter didn't want to work correctly otherwise and working around this issue
by exporting the fine model for substance, then trying to fix it in Max but not messing with the UVs seemed like too much of a drag. I may try to work on this at some later point!
BUGS:
None that I noticed, but if you did, leave a message describing it and what you were doing in the comment section!
COMMENTS:
This is the first saber I managed to get done so far in 3 days' time. Taking that into account, I schould be done with all weapons by the end of this year, at which point I'll upload the whole package to moddb.com and host it via my dropbox for JKHub as well!

Starforged Saber Pack

This is a pack of 16 custom sabers with the "Star-Forged" theme, meaning they have a sort of disrupted/unstable sound set.
I've been working on these sabers for around a year and a half, mainly for my own use and experimentation. I did go a bit crazy with WavePad and mix, pitch, distort, reverb, and gargle the crap out of some random sounds and add lots of low end bass. If you've got good ears you might even guess the base sound I used! The ignition sound on the longsaber and Fury I made using a mix of high and low tones.
I modeled a few of the sabers using the MHS Builder from thecustomsabershop.com for ideas, some are just random design, a couple were from Google images, and 1 of them I modeled after one I bought from ultrasabers.com (Aeon)! There are also 3 crossguard sabers included!
These are, for the most part, vanilla sabers. There are a few tweaks here and there but nothing substantial as far as performance to your base game sabers. The crossguard sabers naturally have an advantage over base sabers, of course.

the same as above with a saber lenth of 40, granting you slightly longer reach than
the physical blade would suggest - this makes it the exact same as a base Jedi
Academy saber.

Raidens HF Blade (3x dmg) :
Not available in the Multiplayer saber menu, only acquireable via the cheatcode in
Single Player.

It comes with special custom shaders, so the model is worth looking at up close THE MOST!
Special stats:

It also comes with MP support. For SP, open up your console, enable cheats with either "helpusobi 1" or "devmapall", then type "saber lasersw" and it schould appear in your capable hands.
I would also like to mention I searched for reference pictures of this hilt and didn't find any whatsoever. If anyone wishes to use my model for their own work/projects, send me a message via PM. I will probably allow you to use it anyway, but message me anyway, because I've drawn my own concepts and if you wish to try modeling it yourself, I'm ready to share those with you!

This is a handy little mod that I conned this noob §Got Milk?§ into testing this for me about a year ago. When he made it I was thrilled to death - because this mod alters the sabers in almost every way a saber CAN be modded. (length, defense, dmg, color, etc...). The dmgs are pretty much a 1 hit kill - every time. I use it a LOT - its by far the strongest mod I've ever seen and I love it sooo much!! It is a Dual Staff Mod and the best you'll find out there by far.

Dooku's Jedi Saber FOR JEDI ACADEMY

This a re-skin of an old version of Dooku's Light saber hilt form his days as a Jedi. I found the saber hilt in an old hilt pack with over 100 hilts. Unfortunately, the zip file does not contains any read me file with more information about the creator(s).
I've attached a screenshot comparing the original hilt and the re-skinned version (new textures and shaders).
Also included an optional file with SP support which will replace saber #5 in the SP menu selection.
Install: Place the zzz_Jedi_Dooku_Saber.pk3 and zzzz_Jedi_Dooku_Saber_sp.pk3 (optional) in your base folder
To use: use "saber jedi_dooku" form the JKA console to activate the hilt.
Uninstall: remove the file zzz_Jedi_Dooku_Saber.pk3 (and zzzz_Jedi_Dooku_Saber_sp.pk3 if used) from your base folder.

Chaos Sword (Final Fantasy)

I made the model from scratch, the texture I'll admit was photo sourced (wanted it to be accurate as possible).
To install put ff_chaos.pk3 into your gamedata/base folder. The un-installation is simply removing the file from said folder.
To get it in SP type into the console (after you've enabled cheats) saber ff_chaos_sword
The only performance altering I did is the blade length is 50 as opposed to 40... so it's got some reach. Other than that it's pretty vanilla.

Hello guys! This is my first edit attempt of a lightsaber hilt. It is exciting hilt that was owned by Maul in the Rebels TV show. I've realised that he is using edited Inquisitor's saber so I've asked maestro Rooxon to give me permission to use his model. Then I've edited it to the accurate shape and re-textured so it looks scruffy. Maul's saberhum and opening sounds were also added. The hilt is fully compatible with SP/MP character customization menu.

Mer Hilts (smart hilt and sabre hilt)
Hello,
These are 2 hilts that i made a while ago, but never bothered to release
The first one is called SmartHilt.
It is basically a lightsaber with a built in smartphone so that you can fight duels and tweet about it at the same time. (disclaimer - you cannot use it to actually tweet)
The second one is called SabreHilt.
It is a hilt that has a hand guard like the one you would see on a sabre or a rapier.

Great mod. Introduces some QoLs and modern resolution. However, it also introduces many bugs that alter the experience. VJun2: Kyle gets stuck in ceiling after water pump cutscene and there's no way to skip VJun3: There's a hole in the middle the combat room against Rosh that leads to the cutscene Cult Investigation- Tanaab: This mission is completely screwed. PBR textures to use with compatible renderers (rend2 in particular). This package covers most of SP textures and some of MP. It also includes reflection probes for SP levels, There are some known issues, especially with md3 normal maps, and please report in comments about any problems you see. Installation Extract two pk3 files to the "base" directory. Note: base color textures override default diffuse textures. As a result, this package makes everything look flat with vanilla renderer. I recommend to install OpenJK with rend2 plus "Setup UI" (or use console commands) to enable reflections, parallax mapping and SSAO. Usage All modders are allowed to use these files in their project without additional permission, but if you fix bugs in my shaders or textures please share them with me to keep this package up to date. -

Great mod! super colors! I only wish the colors remained in cinematics instead of snapping back to original color - is there a way to change that? There are saber hilts available in game menu - does anybody know how to add colors? Just a thought!
