    ATLANTICA_RPG
    ==============
This map is the RPG version of the map, which doesn't have any interactive NPC's to reduce server load and stress, but contains extra scripting. This map contains the keycard system as well as the toolbox repair system and the credits system. So, if you want to play with these features, load this map!

    ATLANTICA
    =========
This map is the core(basic) map which does contain interactive NPC's but none of the advanced scripting found in the RPG version. This is for players who desire a more FFA-themed experience, or clans who do not wish to play with the RPG features because they have their own mods which they can use instead.

  6. SJC The Palace of Jabba the Hutt - Map Pack (Daytime - Sunset)

Jabba the Hutt Temple mappack contains two versions day and night. This map can be taken as a teaser for JKG although it will appear very different once the team there have had a play with the .map file, however since I have left the dev team I thought I would release the maps to the BASE JKA playing community, I hope you like it, much work went into it, there are some issues, like unclipped models (SWG esq lol) and some sparklies and no doubt someone somewhere will find a way to fall out of the map.. but hey its a SJC map it wouldnt be complete without the odd stupid error.

  7. Jedi Council GCX - Skyboxes/_Skybox

Just the final version with all it's little fixes and what not. Ambience sound is added into the map, and unlike other copies this one doesn't have bugs.

Map name in game is jedi_council_gcx

This map is literally like a paint job over the original. I had absolutely no hand in the making of or creating
of the original GCX map, nore was I ever apart of or in {O}.

  8. Cloud City

A cut down version of cloud city... with a brand new texture set and some locations from the movie..
it includes a few new features that i havnt seen in many maps.. which would be the lift doors rotate around like the ones in the movie
if i was to critisise my own work id say the lifts might get a revamp in another version and make the lift shafts wider
ive also tried to give the map a few ways to go so its easy to lose people
but if you really want fun.. try to find the duel room and get a friend to activate the buttons while 2 people fight in the centre

  9. Taris RP

    Author: Ki Adi Mundi

After creating Yalara I realized how bad the maps overall quality actually was and set out to do better, even if only slightly. The end result was a map based on the Planet of Taris from the Knights of the Old Republic Video Games; Only now it is set 4,128 years in the future during the Legacy Comics era.

The map is built for roleplay, so FFA/Seige/Duel/Etc players will likely end up moving on. You'll find weapons to spawn only where reasonable and realistic: The giant (Jedi) Temple only has pistol and e-11's in its armory since Jedi don't use concussion rifles whereas the Imperial Base armory will have everything from grenades to rocket launchers. Hopefully servers will find this map a little more interesting than Yalara was.

Finally, as with Yalara the source files are present in the .pk3 so that roleplay servers can edit the map to their own liking, or random mappers can steal stuff to make their maps better (Hey, it's a compliment to me really.)

    Author: ZaP

That map is the improved version of Stardestroyer. Design has changed a bit, new rooms were added and there now some other additional features.

Be careful when closing/opening the Hangar protection door! Push the button for opening/closing ONLY if it is 100% closed or opened, or it might not work anymore. In that case you have to restart the map.

  11. The Diamond Pit Cantina

    Author description:
"Once a prefabricated building, the Diamond Pit cantina has changed hands over a number of years, with each owner adding and removing sections of the original structure. Now fallen into disrepute, the latest owner saves and scrimps every last credit to try and turn a profit on a rocky, inhospitable planet."

The Diamond Pit is my first completed map, having been overly ambitious in all my previous attempts. It is designed as a RP map so it isn't perfect from every angle. If you find any problems, feel free to let me know. Enjoy!

    Installation:
Place the PK3 in the Base folder of your Jedi Academy game directory. To /devmap, use the name diamond_pit.

  16. Yavin 4 Riverside

    Filesize: ~7,2MB
    Description:

This is my first fully-developed (riiiight...) map. It was created for roleplaying or cinematic purposes, so it's basically focused on terrain design. I was trying to capture that specific "Yavin 4" mood, with lots of rain, moisture and greenery.
It has a very dense flora, which surrounds muddy paths sculpted by water. Terrain was generated using Easygen, after that I've manually added mountain pass and flat terrain on the other side of the river - which might look like natural transitions to other maps of your choice.

As I said, map was designed for roleplaying, so there isn't much to do, unless... FFA! Because of that, I recently added several spawnpoints, so now you may use it as a harsh environment for jungle combat. Trees and bushes will provide extra cover, and potentially may help you ambush poor souls beneath you. Unfortunately, map has several flaws - it could be more optimized, but I simply cannot pour more time into it, so I am releasing it as it is. Sorry!

Huge thanks to @Thrust for all that stupid questions he had to answer... and he did it flawlessly. Without his support, this map couldn't be completed. Also, shoutout to all my friends from yavin4.pl, for their unaware beta-testing and opportunity to release this map as a part of our mappack.

    Enjoy!

    Instructions:
Put pk3 file to your gamedata/base directory. Choose map from in-game menu (FFA mode) or open your console and type /devmap y4_riverside

  17. Sith-J-Cull's Stargate SGC

My long started Star Gate map... Its not what I set out to do with it, the Gate room and command room are as faithful to the earlier episodes of SG1 as I could get them.. I spent a lot of time on the textures and effects, the gate effect kind of works, but there is no proper dialing ... I found a way to reflect the moving event horizon in the windows from inside the gate room, so be sure to check that out.. I also spent a lot of time on an animap shader to get the watery effect on the gate.. Hope you like it.

The planet at the other end of the gate is just my reworked Naboo Crystal Sanctuary map that I used for quickness, however I added a bunch of new effects, sky box and scenery which was inspired at the time by the home planet of the Navei from Avatar.

No doubt this map will get bashed for the fact that its not as playable as others as far as flow goes.... but I treat it more as an experiment in recreating a location that I love from a show that was amazing.

The 'Naboo Sanctuary' part of the map, which basically incorporates one of my older maps contains some textures by SIMONOC, mainly his vegetation textures and some brick work textures. The original credit can be found in the readme of Naboo Sanctuary that is uploaded here.
    Cheers

  18. Horizons of Taris

The Upper City of Taris at sunset, inspired by both the concepts for Taris as well as the game itself. Initially Darth Norman and I decided to compete mainly against eachother in friendly competition, as we are both MBII devs, though due to time restraints Norman had to sadly drop out . Ahh well, here is mine anyway.

In the future, there might be some bug fixes to the map itself release which will include a Night version of the map as well since I did not have time to complete that for this contest (Due to compile times). This will also be expanded much farther into what you will see in the JKG mods version of the map. Including the lower portions of the city, and many places to explore maybe beyond the city itself.

    Features
This map features a bombardment system to add another level of gameplay as well as a visual element to symbalise what happened to Taris itself. The bombardment happens every 7 minutes, lasting for about 1 minute at a time. During which your FPS might decrease a little due to EFX usage, but it should not cripple anything. If you do not want this feature activated, there are some panels in one of the interior buildings (To the left when facing the landing pad/ship) that allow you to activate and deactivate the bombardment. Keep in mind while playing though, these things do damage! City ambience and computer noise ambience when near terminals for greater immersion Flyovers by Sith Fighters Curved map boundaries to prevent getting stuck when using jetpacks or w/e when using cheats.

  19. Alzoc 3 Capital

A group of skyscrapers in the mountains of Alzoc 3. Flying verhicles and floating ad pods lend a futuristic atmosphere to the map. The FPS is very bad, but that cannot be avoided with such a large map where many rooms have large windows from which one can see almost the entire map.

This is the end product of a long chain of maps that stretches all the way back to Jedi Outcast. The first was ffa_coruscant and the first JA update was called ffa_corellia. This, the third and final update is set in the capital city of Alzoc 3. Cannonicity was not a concern of mine while making this map so if this is not how Alzoc 3 is "supposed to look," deal with it.

  20. Grand Jedi Palace

    Trailer:

This map is BIG so do not be so disconcerned or confused at first. It grows
on you fast. The entire map is interconnectable meaning that you can go from
one side, to the other without even going through the main hall. To help
beginners there are minimaps throughout. The white arrow shows the direction
you are facing while looking at the map.

NPC room (lockable from admin room)
    Bridge room for Melee fights
3 Mazes. The small labyrinth has 2 lethal traps. The other labyrinth is a straight forward maze, no traps, hidden walls or anything. The last is the tele maze that leads to the big labyrinth.
Shooting range with an ammo & guns room
Teleporters And Trams for quick transportation
4 Duel rooms. Duel Rooms #1, #2, #3, and the Grand Duel Arena.
    Ceremony Hall
    Council room
    Bar, Kitchen & Dance floor
    Pillar room for platforming practicing
    Secrets
    And more...

The Council room locks and switches have their own checks and balances.
Though the switches in the Council room can lock the doors, The admin room
has switches to disable (and enable) those lock switches. You can have
combinations such as leaving the council room doors unlocked and preventing
the switches in the council room from locking the doors, or Having the doors
locked and preventing them from being opened from the Council room. Or can
can have the switches in the Council room have complete control by not
    disabling them.

All locks automatically start as open upon map load. Meaning Council room,
NPC room, RancorSpawn and Admin room are all open at startup by default.

There are four clues scattered around the map leading to a hidden switch
that opens a door in the same room to a secret Dojo. Remember to be quick
once it is open, it wont stay open for long.

  21. Several Sided Sid's Jedi Temple on Coruscant

    Brush Count : 1,897
    Entity Count : 2,020
    Software used : GtkRadiant v 1.4
Known Bugs : None - please let me know if you find any
Build Time : 10 WEEKS - BUT I PUT IT DOWN TO BEING A DAD AND NOT HAVING A LOT OF TIME ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS!!! BESIDES, THE LIGHTING ON THIS BABY TAUGHT ME THINGS I THOUGHT I ALREADY KNEW!! CHECK OUT THAT ENTITY-COUNT!

I'll be kind here and suggest to other mappers that the best way to light some maps is by using dozens and dozens of tiny little lights, rather than a handful of massive ones.

On the absence of city lights twinkling in the distance, this was for technical reasons.

The Jedi Temple itself is sooo big that Radiant could not possibly cope with something on that scale, so I had to build just the illuminated 'playable' area at the base of the pyramid, where we see Anakin and the Clone Troopers advancing in Revenge of the Sith, and where we see Yoda and Obi Wan battling it out in the daytime.

I considered a daytime map, but found the best way to handle the subject matter and the fact that I have only built a percent or two of the overall size of the place as it would be in reality (let's face it - this place is home to several thousand Jedi Knights at any one time!) was to fade away into blackness and suggest that there is more out there.

Personally, I think it makes for pretty atmosphere

    Notes
I would not have built this map at all had it not been for Guss, who very kindly invited me onto his Jedi Temple Team.

The plan is to release a colossal Temple map, inside and out, and this is my part.

I thought I'd release it early to show how the project is going and to whet a few appetites for more.

Thanks man - this one taught me a lot!

Also another big thanks to SathiroN, for his continuing support and for letting me use some of the textures he created for my Mos Espa Outskirts map.

Hopefully sooner or later he will do the Jedi community a favour and release a compendium of his unfinished work!! (hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink...)

  22. {JoF}'s Secret Mission Center V2

    Readme File:
    ***************************
    JEDI KNIGHT III MODIFICATION
    ***************************

    Title : {JoF}'s Secret Mission Center V2
    Author(s): Exonimus, Ez & Zefilus
Contributor(s): Dalendrion, MrWonko, Milamber, Jon & Aldro Koon
    Website : www.jofacademy.eu

    File Version: 2.0
    File Name : {JoF}'s-TheSMCV2.pk3

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    Description :

A map that started in September of 2008 by the clan Jedi of Freedom, {JoF}. It is meant as a tribute to a group that went by the name of the "Secret Mission Center" between 2007 and 2014.

This map had a lot of authors and was a collaboration of many people, the majority with practically no map experience and very few with actual experience. Regardless, the saying "too many cooks spoil the broth" may be applied.

The map is FAR from perfect and there are known bugs and glitches that may be revised for a V3 version, one day.
However we put everything into getting it in a releasing state and just pushed for this project that was seeming like a never ending one. What we have is the end result of that and we are truly happy to have something to show for it.

Furthermore the file size is rather large due to the fact that textures and shaders have not been revised and mostly just thrown together.
There are also two secrets in the map. One is located in Shree's office (the office with the rancor statue). I will be pretty vague about that one because its epic.
The other is a hidden button that opens a locked door next to the statue inside the library.

    * Map Information *

    Bot Support: No
    New Textures: Yes
    New Music: Yes

    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    Installation :
Just put the pk3 in GameData\base in your game directory.

    Known bug(s) :
Singleplayer might not load properly due to a statue having a too long filename length (MAX_QPATH).
Simply remove the PK3 from base to be able to play singleplayer again.

Other editors may NOT use this map as base for other maps, using reverse decompile methods.

If you want the .MAP file for some reason, contact 'Aldro Koon' at our forums over at www.jofacademy.eu -> forums.

  23. Light Corvette

    Description:

**EDIT** Version 2 is here! This was actually done shortly after the release of the original version, I just hadn't gotten around to releasing it! There will be a third installment, but I've no idea when I'll get around to that. For now, please enjoy!

Thanks to Lannera for constructing most of the new content you see in V2!

This map was originally inspired by the Defender-Class Light Corvette featured in Star Wars: The Old Republic. As construction has gone on however, things've deviated completely as I've pieced together my own design. I'd encourage you to take a look at the screenshots to get an idea for the feel of the place.

    Additional Comments:

Thanks for coming to take a look at my map! I've had very little time on my hands, so I have no idea when I'll be able to construct the rest of the ship! I've closed off the incomplete areas, but they'll re-open in the next version!

Lastly, I'd appreciate any thoughts and opinions over in this thread!

Any issues or bugs, let me know and I'll do what I can!

  24. Arrevanous 7

Years and YEARS ago I had this really crazy dream that was persistent for quiet some time, I eventually built it and released it to Jk2files "Arrevanous 7". YEARS later I bring you the "BETA" for V2, official release will be Christmas night. In the final there will be a secondary night version with more snow.
I would like to take a moment and note that this is the same beta I released earlier this year to the JAWA clan for testing. Many thing have changed since in my own personal version however atm it is not quiet ready. Theirs a few hidden areas and secrets in this map, including one that's NOT finished. However its sort of a teaser of whats to come in the final release for you folks.
Btw if you have qeffects this map looks even more amazing. Everything in this map is custom (some thing are base textures altered). There also was LOL a spelling error on one of the crystals prints but I was tired so please excuse that.
This map uses a few of my own secret tricks, including a new weather system/effect I designed (I've worked to make this much better since this Beta Btw), so please don't just go ripping things off, learn and ask permission please.

    File Size : 59 MB
    Date finished : 8/24/14

  25. Shola Sith Temple

    A clan map for the
Dark Empire of the Sith featuring areas for dueling, tournaments, jump courses, water courses, and vehicle combat.

It is in beta phase, so it still has a few sections, including details of the outside of the temple, that haven't been completed. There also is no lighting yet.

Special thanks to Darth Martyr for teaching me how to map and help me with the obstacles I
came across in the making of this map. Without him I would never have started mapping.

Special Thanks to Loda for helping me with advanced mapping info.

Special thanks to Circa and Radiuks for creating and helping me with some textures.

    ----

Map started on February 16th, 2015.

and thanks to all -[DE]- for testing my map as I was working with it and giving good recommendations!
