Star Wars Rebels Lightsaber Blades

I was looking around for saber blade retextures that makes them alot like the ones seen in Star Wars Rebels as I had fallen in love with the very thin depiction of the blades seen in the show - I had trouble finding them so I decided to create my own, this replaces the saber blade textures.
Initially I also tried making the glow around the core of the blades thinner aswell, but I was having issues such as gaps inbetween the effects and other silly things, so I decided to leave the glow unaltered.
Feel free to do whatever with these, they're really just a 5 second edit in Photoshop

Since people seem to like these blades i wanted to do more with this file. After alot of trial and error i made an attempt at some movie inspired saber trails and a much better new saberflare that i was happy with, slightly increased the saturation of the glows and blended the edges of the saber lines a bit better. I've also removed that annoying yellow aura around the hand and saber hilt when it's dropped on the ground. Hope everyone enjoys it.

Ep. VII Title Video

Included along with this file should be a "zEpVIIMenu_Video.zip" file. Unzip the folder and place the pk3 contained within in the Base folder of your Jedi Academy directory.
This mod will change the appearance of the video in the centre of the main menu and also remove the grid that covers it in the base game. The new footage is taken from the first teaser trailer of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

TrueGlo Tapered Blades

A few weeks ago i tried making some accurate Star Wars Rebels blades, and figured out a way that worked surprisingly well for a more authentic looking inner glow. This inspired me to take another go at some high quality regular blades with a more detailed look to them compared to the saber mods available so far. One thing i've noticed in some of the movies is sabers getting just slightly more narrow as they go up, and having a thicker brighter inner glow inside the darker glow (some scenes/movies this is more visible then others, the well known screencap of Finn in the woods for example). It's always bugged me how sabers in this game with color around the blades end up having a kind of icecream sandwich look, with the color ending up to solid looking bordering a white line as opposed to a hazy glow around an energy blade. The inner glow tapers into the blade at the top and bottom like in some of the movies and I've added some color to the cores that gets brighter toward the middle and bottom to add contrast and detail no matter how close you get to them. I've also changed the yellow blade to the greenish-yellow of Ahsoka's shoto blade, and all textures are in the same level of high resolution as my last blades. One file has a new saberflare that looks pretty good on it's own, the other has no saberflare for anyone using them with my effects package (or a different one). Hope you like them!

Better Lightsabers custom colors

Hello everyone, I present to you the package of visual enhancements to the colors of all lightsabers.
The effects of the sabers that includes the game by default are too bright for my taste, therefore, realize other simpler and more prolix as the sabers of the prequels. THIS IS MY FIRST MOD, I hope u like it.

Instructions:
- Extract the "Better_Lightsabers_custom_colors_BY_ZA-7.pk3" file in the "Base" folder of your game.
Post data: Remember, if you have other mods that change the colors of lightsabers perhaps these new not work, therefore, I recommend eliminate or move them to another folder so that they work properly.

Episode 2 Blades

These were some pretty good round sabers I found on filefront/jk3 files. These don't conflict with the hilts I use so they are ideal for me. Here's the realm that came with the file, it is also included in the zip:
[update: new blade shape, sounds, and colors] These recreate the blades seen in ep2.
The screens are pretty bad so check it out yourself in the game. Remove any other saber
mods (INCLUDING MY OLD ONES IF U HAVE EM). Put selected pk3's in gamedata/base folder
(jka or jk2). The colors in the ep2.blades_v3.pk3 are using the originals.
So if you want the new colors, add the other pk3's to the gamedata/base folder.

MB2 Russian Fonts Fix
Greetings! This cosmetic modification is designed to improve the interface for a Russian-speaking players. The basis I took font "Fixedsys" author "Didz". I added to it the Cyrillic characters.
And replace "ergoec" i chose a suitable nice free font, with Russian symbols.
English-speaking players can also use it.
Приветствую! Этот косметическая модификация призвана для улучшения интерфейса для Русскоязычных игроков. За основу я взял шрифт "Fixedsys" Автора "Didz". Я добавил к нему кириллические символы.
Так же на замену "ergoec" я выбрал подходящий приятный бесплатный шрифт, так же с русскими буквами.

Simple Crosshair

This is a very simple mod that replaces the default crosshair with all but a simple dot. This is common in a lot of games, to simplify a third person or first person experience. I felt like the default crosshairs were created more for guns, and when you play mostly just using a saber (on MP), it's nice to get the bulky crosshair out of the way and keep it simple.
Again, this is another simple mod that I've had for awhile that I figured others would get use out of.
This replaces the default crosshair (1) - if you use another built in crosshair (2-10) then you'll need to switch to the default. You can use this command in the console to do so:
/cg_drawcrosshair 1

Kotor Screen Savers

Jakku Name Mod

This is a very tiny mod. What it does is simply change the mission info screens to refer to the first mission (the Tatooine mercenaries one) as if it takes place in Jakku instead of Tatooine.
References to Tatooine and Mos Eisley were changed for that mission in the text. Also 2 voice lines referring to Tatooine/Mos Eisley were edited so they don't say it.
There's an extra planet circle in the galaxy screen and the planet photo is different too but I didn't animate it, sorry.
I thought this made sense since the Millenium Falcon is parked there (this could be when Han loses it?) and since Jakku and Tatooine look exactly the same, let's be honest.
I haven't changed anything in the map, the NPCs or the mission itself, maybe I will in a future release.
Let me know if there's some glitch with it.
EDIT: Added an alternative pk3 which makes it replace Blenjeel instead.

All players in MP will use these styles, not just you. Their sabers will not look right due to the sabers being flipped upside down in the animations.

PS, I separated the shaders between the visor and the armor, so if you dislike them being shiny on dark maps, you can just delete the shade.shader from the pk3.

Movie Duels 2 Stances and Animations
Changes:
The mod changes the walk, attacking and jumping animations.
The staff and dual stances dont have new attack moves, just the idle animations of Movie Duels 2.
Bugs known:
In the scenes with non gameplay animations (for example the walking animations and when Jaden have a discussion with Rosh in Taspir) are bugged, in that scenes all the npc and the player will have the Gloat animation, idk how to fix it, if someone know how to fix it or if u already fixed it please, give me the mod fixed.

Holocron Challenges
So, I have been playing JKA ever since it came out. I have seen a ton of mods come and a ton of mods go. I have seen SP mods, I have seen MP mods, I have seen attempts at reinventing the wheel. Never thus far, however, have I seen a labor of love such as this one and (with no offense meant at all towards anyone else) from a person with such aesthetic quality. From the very menu of the mod, to the entire UI, to the Intuitiveness of selecting a character to play as (including variants for them), to the roguelike gameplay that no one knew how much we both wanted and needed, this mod is something that truly makes JKA replayable infinitely. It's also quite magical how the creations of almost every single being in JKhub has coalesced into this gem, making it not only one of the most (if not -the- most) enjoyable mod to have been spawned for the game but also sort of a history book of JKhub past, present and future. Just beautiful. ~S -

Holocron Challenges
Thanks for this, I've taken a look at Mustafar and there was a miscount on one of the waves towards the end leading to the next wave being spawned earlier than it should which I've fixed now and it will be in the next update. I haven't been able to replicate the freezing or missing textures on later rounds though, are you using OpenJK to play the mod? There are issues in the base version of the game which is why I made OpenJK a requirement. I'll look at adding something extra to arenas for clearing all the rooms. I wanted to try to make the characters different to play which is why they have different force powers, it does make some of them harder to play than others but I think it also gives people a bit more of a challenge if that's what they're looking for. I'll look at adding heal/drain to some more characters though to give people more chances to regen their health but I did set up the ladders so you get healed after each boss encounter and after each arena in arenas. Customising characters isn't something I'm going to add though. I want to do everything through the hub map and adding customisable characters would mean too many permutations and it would be a bit of a headache to script, it was bad enough just trying to get these to work as is! -

Holocron Challenges
The mod is amazing. The hub is very cozy, everything is within easy reach. Very interesting idea with a challenge of multiple arenas and ending with a boss room. The variety of characters is impressive, but there is room for improvement. Now I will touch on controversial issues. It's more like feedback: 1) I liked the idea with the arenas, but I wanted there to be a unique reward in the form of a separate secret arena after clearing all the rooms. If you don't go into boss rooms. 2) The ladder modes are very unbalanced. A lot of characters appear on Mustafar; in the last 3 stages, waves of opponents appeared even when the previous ones had not yet ended. It also caused the game to freeze and textures to disappear. There is a similar situation on the Roussan map, although everything is fine with the waves, but towards the final battles the same situation occurs with missing textures and freezing. On the Jedi Temple map, guards with a dual sword in one hand kill with 1-2 attacks. When in this arena you don’t experience the slightest difficulty with the bosses. Played on Jedi Knight difficulty. 3)I wanted to touch on the balance of the characters. As I understand it, the idea was to make each hero with his own unique set of skills, strengths and weaknesses. And almost everyone doesn’t have the healing skill, but several of the characters have it. Which greatly affects the gameplay in the ladder. Although the variety of characters is impressive, some heroes have little or no variety. As I understand it, not everyone was able to be contacted to obtain permission. I would like to see more options or the ability to customize your character yourself. As I wrote above, I really liked the mod. And the moments that I voiced. These are just my impressions of the game, which can be ignored. -
