  2. ep1_funeral

    This is a FFA map for Jedi Academy.
    This map wants to be a possible version of the QuiGon funeral at the end of Episode 1.
    This map was started lot of years ago, inside the Chronicles MOD, for Dan. Afther that I took and I remade from zero to get this final map.

  3. c-mountain

    This map works for both jk3 and jk2. This is another of my mountain maps. It is a sequel to A-mountain and B-Mountain. One of the problems I noticed while watching people race a-mountain is they were fighting over 2-3 seconds once they learned it. This mountain should be harder and longer and hopefully solve that problem should people choose to race it.

    My climbing mountains are loosely inspired by the work of Boris from quake defrag.

  5. Jedi Council GCX

    Original Author: Griffenclaw

    Uploader's Comments:
    I want to start by saying the obvious: THIS IS NOT MY MAP.

    Now, for all those who remember the amazing JediCouncilGCX from back in 2004, this is it. This is not the 2010 version, or whatever "updated" versions there are of it out there. This is the original, untouched. I found it while digging through some old JK files I had stored away and noticed that there seems to be nowhere to get this map anymore. I was friends with Griffenclaw, and I think Griff would be sad to see the "updated" versions tbh, because they don't fix any of the things he actually wanted to fix (like the spawn points being so spaced out, and the low quality of the animated skybox).

    Therefore, I've decided to send a copy of this to JKHub, because someone needs to keep this piece of history alive for all us old farts!

  6. FFA Nowhere

    Author: Cye

    Submitted by Helena Revan

    One of the scariest maps ever released, FFA Nowhere is an abandoned asylum! And not a nice sort of asylum, either. One with rows of cells and locked iron doors, padded cells and operating theatres, and security bars everywhere! People have died here. There's even a graveyard full of them. But are all those who died here in the graveyard? I'm not so sure of that! You visit on a rainy, misty night, and there's just enough power to work the lights in some sections. Wind rushes through the corridors... was that someone moaning? Why are there chains hanging from the ceiling? Is someone there...? Help! You'll be glad you took your lightsaber with you as you explore this creepy place. Better hope you don't dream about it!

    Here's what Cye had to say about his map when he released it on JK3Files back in 2004:

    ===================

    Build time : 2 or so weeks
    Custom Textures : sortof
    New Music : Yes
    Bot Support : This is my first map cut me some slack punk

    Installation : Simply extract the ffa_nowhere.pk3 file into your JA/GAMEDATA/BASE folder or click and drag it to the folder specified.

    Map info : As said above this is my first map ever, I came up with the idea during playing a game of Jedi Outcast with a few people online and felt that most of the custom maps for the game were all going by the same types of themes so I decided to create something a little new. I created the idea of a creepy or Silent Hill themed map so to speak that night and made the blueprints the next day. But since being my lazy self I never actually made it until JA came out so the idea aswell as the blueprints stuck in my mind for a year or so. It took me less than a week to read up on some great Radiant tutorials and in the same week I started up on FFA_nowhere, so this map was also my tool to learning how to do this and that. And although this map is not perfect considering I had limited resources "texture wise" and other things, it has become bigger and better than my original idea for the map.

    SPECIAL THANKS GOES TO THE FOLLOWING:

    Rich Diesals mapping university, the only place I got my mapping tutorials. http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/ explained a hellofa lot to me and I cant thank the dude enough.

    Also special thanks goes out to Raven for the great game that is JA and JediOutcast, and also Id and EA games for their great textures.

    Textures by RAVEN: Jedi Academy,
    Id software: Return to castle Wolfenstein, and EA Games: Medal of Honor AA.

    ===========================================================

    It was reviewed by the JK3Files staff, too:

    ===============================

    What a 'nice' idea for a map and with the sound effects too, nicely done!

    When I first got in the haunting noises were superb, the room was plain but the fact it sounded like a true horror game seriously added to the atmosphere; thank god I have control of my bladder! The next room I went to was an outdoor area, a half destroyed room where it was raining and it felt good; by that I mean it felt like it should, run down house broke apart by age and weather.

    The main bulk of the house is corridors (those are quite large corridors btw) which are very dark and damp with the occasional flickering light (nice touch). The bordered up windows and doors along with the various broken object and sharp corners really do give it that horror feel which helps you forget about the fact that in decor this house is somewhat lacking.

    There was one place that really was cool, I won't go into it fully but put it this way...just because it seems like it's a corridor that you can walk down does not mean you can walk down it....falling however is a much faster method. Oh and if you're scared of small spaces avoid this place! Solidary confinement is not a nice place.

    I suppose I should now point out it is infact more of an asylum and if walking past those torn down doors on cells don't freak you out...you're on a par with George Bush for reaction and intelligence!

    One think that puts me off this map is the fact teleporters move you from place to place through doorways which I don't think there was need for.

    New Sounds: Yes (+Music)
    New Textures: Yes
    Bot Support: No

  8. Alderaan

    Installation Instructions:

    Included along with this file should be a "Alderaan.pk3" file. Place the pk3 in the Base folder of your Jedi Academy directory.

    About the mod:

    This is a map that I built for Ramikad as a part of the 2016 JKHub Secret Santa event!

    Among the list of gift suggestions was a map of Alderaan, which I thought would be a bit too elaborate to make in the time-frame that I had, so I played a little bit of a joke with it instead: The map is very minimal, taking place on Alderaan's remains following the events of A New Hope.

    Enjoy! ^.^

    If anyone encounters any genuine, serious bugs, let me know and I'll update it!

  14. Taris RP

    Author: Ki Adi Mundi

    After creating Yalara I realized how bad the maps overall quality actually was and set out to do better, even if only slightly. The end result was a map based on the Planet of Taris from the Knights of the Old Republic Video Games; Only now it is set 4,128 years in the future during the Legacy Comics era.

    The map is built for roleplay, so FFA/Seige/Duel/Etc players will likely end up moving on. You'll find weapons to spawn only where reasonable and realistic: The giant (Jedi) Temple only has pistol and e-11's in its armory since Jedi don't use concussion rifles whereas the Imperial Base armory will have everything from grenades to rocket launchers. Hopefully servers will find this map a little more interesting than Yalara was.

    Finally, as with Yalara the source files are present in the .pk3 so that roleplay servers can edit the map to their own liking, or random mappers can steal stuff to make their maps better (Hey, it's a compliment to me really.)

  16. Atlantica Fix

    This is a simple fixed version of Atlantica to prevent Single-Player mode from crashing. The shader directives have also been modified to make it compatible with OpenJK.
    This completely replaces the old pk3 files, so remove those from base and replace with the ones in this file. It also contains the 1.02 source files.

    Atlantica (V1.02)
    =======================
    New Textures: Yes
    New Sounds: Yes
    New Models: Yes
    New Scripts: Yes

    Brush Count: 28,280 + ~15,000 in ASE Models
    Entity Count: 3528

    Compile Time: 5 Minutes.

    Changelog (1.02):
    --------
    - Fixed shader syntax which caused textures to load incorrectly in OpenJK.
    - Amended licensing information to make it clear that others cannot upload this file to
    sites without my consent.

    Changelog (1.01):
    --------
    - Fixed extended script names which caused SP mode to crash.

    Features:
    --------

    - Doc Ock Style fusion generator
    - Passcoded council/admin doors (using switches where a numerical value can be inputted)
    - Destructable environments, trees/lamps.e.t.c
    - You can then fix some of these using toolkits (televisions for example) and other items you can pick up.
    - You can collect credits to pay for access to certain areas by either finding them lying around or completing challenges.
    - Virtual reality training for sneaking as a challenge.
    - Elevators with selectable floors.
    - Interactive NPC's that walk around and speak to each other.
    - Lots of cupboards/doors openable by force powers

    - Healing bacta tanks.
    - Keycard system whereby a card must be bought/found to access certain areas, like the lock key system in SP.
    - A few others, secret areas/switch hunt and stuff.

    ============================================================
    Map Installation : Extract the contents of the .zip (Atlantica_v1.01.pk3) into your Jedi Academy/GameData/Base directory, and you're all set to go!
    ============================================================

    IMPORTANT INFO FOR SERVER HOSTERS:
    -------------------------------------
    THIS MAP CAN TAKE IN EXCESS OF 3 MINUTES TO LOAD FOR THOSE ON OLDER COMPUTERS. THEREFORE ANY SERVER WISHING TO RUN THIS MAP MUST HAVE 'SV_TIMEOUT' SET TO A
    VALUE OF AT LEAST 500 (Or else clients that take longer than 2mins to load will get kicked automatically)

    SETTING YOUR OWN ADMINISTRATION ROOM PASSWORD
    =============================================

    Please follow the tutorial included in this .ZIP file or read it at www.szicovii.com under tutorials.
    The default password is 557752, starting from the door to the of the left of the central panel when facing it, and moving clockwise.

    ATLANTICA_RPG
    ==============
    This map is the RPG version of the map, which doesn't have any interactive NPC's to reduce server load and stress, but contains extra scripting.
    This map contains the keycard system as well as the toolbox repair system and the credits system. So, if you want to play with these features, load this map!

    ATLANTICA
    =========
    This map is the core(basic) map which does contain interactive NPC's but none of the advanced scripting found in the RPG version. This is for players
    who desire a more FFA-themed experience, or clans who do not wish to play with the RPG features because they have their own mods which they can use instead.

    ==========
    Known Bugs
    ==========

    - In the long staircase with the rocky walls and the view of the ocean, you can see a small glimpse of another section of the map when looking
    upwards out of the window.

    - If you die/disconnect when participating in the Stealth VR training sessions the scripting system which governs these minigames will break
    and the map may need to be restarted. Of course, there's no way to die in here unless you kill yourself, so this is a very simple bug to avoid.
    Server admins can teleport/noclip into a broken VR training room and complete/fail the training to restart the scripts without needing a map restart.

    - The elevator consoles can get out of sync with the elevator itself, but it was either this or make the consoles crush through the player, which isn't
    desireable. They will always fall back in sync, and only go out of sync rarely when blocked by the player.

    ==========
    CREDITS
    ==========

    - RoboPhread, Lugormod coder and the biggest inspiration for the extra scripting I did in this map. He's the brains behind most of the really cool stuff,
    like the keycode doors and the passworded room. Without you Robo, this map wouldn't be what it is today. I'm sure you'll be unimpressed by my extensive
    use of unnecessary target_scriptrunners, the position of the lift and my less-than-liberal use of parms, but the job got done in the end
    Thank you so much!

    - Xa'o Zalei for helping with the design, concept work and theme progression throughout the development of this project! I orignally wanted to blow you up
    with my Death Star for 'persuading' me into making this map for you, but in the end it was a fantastic experience for me, and you know that this map
    would also not exist without your tireless input and contribution. Thanks!

    He is a stand up guy and a wonderful person. I asked him way back if he would make a small map on a small star Wars planet
    and it turned into one of the best maps I have ever seen for JKA. So for that, thank you for everything Szico. You are

  17. Star Wars Episode III JKA Map Pack - Part 3

    Hey peeps,

    This, the final of my episode III mappacks, I hope you have enjoyed them as much as I have making them.

    This pack includes:
    The Galactic Senate
    The Battle of Kashyyy
    And a special sneak peak at the Vaders Immortalization chamber featured at the end of episode III.

    The Senate
    I had to make a big decision in this map; I mean the shire size of the senate from the movies is pretty Impossible to recreate in radiant, I had to make a SERIOUSE cut back on the amount of pads I added, however I did include over 160 pods in the map some of which are interactive; it also features the blade doors and central elevator as seen in the movie.

    Don't forget to hold the usetime button found on the main floor of the map - it will alter the map so that it appears destroyed just like after Yoda and Sidy fight.

    Kashyyyk
    The detail in this map was kept to a minimum; however some with lower spec pc's will indeed have problems with fps. due to the size and nature of the map so sorry about that. I included some of the best vehicle models in one of the zip files,
    these are the ones I included in the map, I had intended to use all new kashyyyk vehicles but I don't think they were completed in time one way or the other.

    Vader's immortalization chamber
    This is a special bonus map only two rooms as it is a sneak peak of the full map which will include the landing pad etc.

    The next release in the mappack series, as I have stated before will not include any new episode III maps, but it will feature all of the previous maps but in the completed form. In a way all of the maps in the mappacks have been Betas, for the complete release that I plan to get to you around Christmas.

  18. The City Crossroads - Night Version

    This is the night version of my City Crossroads map. It is a quite big map. And as the name says it's city crossroads. It has three enterable buildings.
    This version is night, it's night and there's no fog or rain. There're several vehicles such as original ja swoop and the sith speeder by monsoontide.
    also used three models from Szico VII's modelpack. Music is ABBA - summer night city. I hope you enjoy.

    Check out 3 other versions of this map:

  21. Tatooine Outpost

    This is a map that was originally submitted to JK3Files way back in 2009.

    You have stopped at a desert outpost on Tatooine. It's a place where travelers between cities might stop for a rest or some other types of legal or illegal activities. Explore around above and below ground. There are consoles located throughout the map which will spawn unfriendlies if you choose to activate them. Proceed with caution! Search around for weapons other than your light saber, you may need them.

    If you're running an older PC, I do caution you against spawning all of the NPCs at one time!

  22. Grand Jedi Palace

    Trailer:

    This map is BIG so do not be so disconcerned or confused at first. It grows
    on you fast. The entire map is interconnectable meaning that you can go from
    one side, to the other without even going through the main hall. To help
    beginners there are minimaps throughout. The white arrow shows the direction
    you are facing while looking at the map.

    NPC room (lockable from admin room)
    Bridge room for Melee fights
    3 Mazes. The small labyrinth has 2 lethal traps. The other labyrinth is a straight forward maze, no traps, hidden walls or anything. The last is the tele maze that leads to the big labyrinth.
    Shooting range with an ammo & guns room
    Teleporters And Trams for quick transportation
    4 Duel rooms. Duel Rooms #1, #2, #3, and the Grand Duel Arena.
    Ceremony Hall
    Council room
    Bar, Kitchen & Dance floor
    Pillar room for platforming practicing
    Secrets
    And more...

    The Council room locks and switches have their own checks and balances.
    Though the switches in the Council room can lock the doors, The admin room
    has switches to disable (and enable) those lock switches. You can have
    combinations such as leaving the council room doors unlocked and preventing
    the switches in the council room from locking the doors, or Having the doors
    locked and preventing them from being opened from the Council room. Or can
    can have the switches in the Council room have complete control by not
    disabling them.

    All locks automatically start as open upon map load. Meaning Council room,
    NPC room, RancorSpawn and Admin room are all open at startup by default.

    There are four clues scattered around the map leading to a hidden switch
    that opens a door in the same room to a secret Dojo. Remember to be quick
    once it is open, it wont stay open for long.

  23. Star Wars Episode III JKA Map Pack - Part 2

    Mustafar:

    Well I spent a long time on this map and I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. First I will talke about the different areas, you will find the Huge lava river complete with different floatin platforms and droids that you can ride on or battle on. The river has various lava falls which (in most cases) will kill you as will the lava. The lava collectors in this area can be lowered into the lava byt the control panel in the control room to the right of the main door. The control panel next to that will also trigger the lowering once destroyed.

    There are three landing pads with Anakins fighter, Padmes Noobian, and the Emporers shuttle, a droid work shop complete with a stock of droids LOL!

    Now unfortunately there are some bugs in this version, even though I used the appropriate spawnflags on some of the rock models, they still allow the players to pass through them in places, also there are two crates left unclipped in the droid workshop, some of the lava falls allow you to pass through them, and areas of the lava river do not kill you.

    There are some other minor glitches which will all be sorted once I release the final 2 parts of the mappack series. I intend to release all six maps in thier complete form as one huge mappack

    Out of these two maps Mustafar is my favourite and is the one I spent most time on.

    --------------------------------------------------

    Utapau

    Ok well this map was a pain in the but from the start, it was so hard to get the feel and look of Utapau using the q3a engine, so I did my best, parts of the map look pretty basic but other part like the 'level 10' trade fed ship and some of the Utapau structures are pretty detailed.

    There are two func_trains that 'fly' around this level taking you from the lower parts to the upper level 10, there are also jump pads here and there, plenty of landing pads where you can spawn things (yourselfs i mean lol!).

    Again as with mustafar I will provide a more complete version of this map in the final 6 mappack!

  24. Final Fantasy VII - Midgar

    Szico VII

    Brush Count: 28,762
    Entity Count: 2158
    Build Time: 11 months
    Compile Time: 45 Minutes

    IMPORTANT INFO FOR SERVER HOSTERS:
    -------------------------------------
    THIS MAP CAN TAKE IN EXCESS OF 5 MINUTES TO LOAD FOR THOSE ON OLDER COMPUTERS. THEREFORE ANY SERVER WISHING TO RUN THIS MAP MUST HAVE 'SV_TIMEOUT' SET TO A VALUE OF AT LEAST 1000 (Or else clients that take longer than 2mins to load will get kicked automatically)

    =====================================
    Map Installation : Extract the contents of the .zip (Midgar v3.0.pk3) into your Jedi Academy/GameData/Base directory, and you're all set to go! This automatically installs all vehicles, models and weapons which come with the map.

    Seperate Installations: - The One-Winged Jetpack.pk3 file should be placed into your base folder if you wish to use the new jetpack and teleporter effects. - The First Sword.pk3 file file should be placed into your base folder if you wish to have Cloud's AC first sword as a weapon.
    =====================================

    IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING VIDEO CARD MEMORY:

    If you experience unusually low FPS throughout the map and especially at the bottom of the tower by the green glow, it means your video card is at its maximum texture memory. Here is the settings you should use in Video options (Texture Quality) depending on the amount of texture memory your video card has:

    512MB - Very High
    256MB - High
    128MB - Medium/High
    64MB - Low

  25. Several Sided Sid's Tantive IV Rebel Blockade Runner

    This is my interpretation of the interior of the 'Tantive IV' Rebel Blockade Runner, the Corellian Corvette seen at the beginning of A New Hope and also in Revenge Of The Sith. I have tried to include every angle we see on film in both movies and also I have extended past this, to the rest of the ship, to show what it could be like.

    But watch out - the Imperials have us in their sights!!

    I finally found a few days in between writing my books (more to come on those soon, I hope - will keep you all posted...) to work on my maps again. For those of you familiar with the little cans of coke hidden in each one for your searching pleasure, I thought it might be fun to move the cans to new locations and re-release the maps so you can search for them again! I may do a Can-Hunt Map-Pack at some point, but I thought I'd release this one all by itself first.

    There are actually TWO cans hidden in this map now - one in plain sight and just for a laugh, and the other is difficult to find unless you have your sabre ignited and are prepared to search high and low, as before...

    Apart from the cans, I have rigged the walls to explode in a few more places! Other than that, the map is exactly the same as the .v1 release... apart from a tiny texture touch-up in a couple of locations...

    (The ship is intentionally slightly oversize, as I first tried building it in proper proportion and the game's own camera angle means you feel like you're banging your head as you follow the player. So a slightly bigger space means that gameplay is as flawless as can be, I find. I know other mappers have found that too!)
