Star Wars Rebels Lightsaber Blades

I was looking around for saber blade retextures that makes them alot like the ones seen in Star Wars Rebels as I had fallen in love with the very thin depiction of the blades seen in the show - I had trouble finding them so I decided to create my own, this replaces the saber blade textures.
Initially I also tried making the glow around the core of the blades thinner aswell, but I was having issues such as gaps inbetween the effects and other silly things, so I decided to leave the glow unaltered.
Feel free to do whatever with these, they're really just a 5 second edit in Photoshop

Unstable Red Blade
This is my attempt at recreating the unstable effect seen on Kylo Ren's lightsaber in episode VII.
This will give red lightsabers in the game a blade that shimmers and wavers like Kylo's in the movie, complete with lightning that crackles along the length of the blade.
Don't use in singleplayer if you don't want every dark jedi you meet to have somehow found a cracked kyber crystal for themselves.

This is the version 4 of the star wars animated stances. This time the package has not support for JA+, but I changed key animations to enjoy this package better. Not every animation has been modified, just a few. Includes the following changes and I hope you like it :
- Blue Lightsaber stance
- Red Lightsaber stance
- Yellow Lightsaber stance
- Melee Stance
- Stance of players.
Those are a little bit of the changes made, but the animations were totally created with Dragon User Tool.

Circa's Menu Mod

This is a mod that aims to freshen and soften the main menus of both SP and MP of Jedi Academy. I always felt like the sounds and music for the menu were extremely harsh. Especially if you're playing late at night, you fire up JKA and click Play--BEEP! Ow. Click Join Serv--BEEP!
New sounds add a more subtle feel to your menu experience.
Music track for MP switched with the Yavin Temple explore music from JK2. Very peaceful feel, reminds me of the Jedi Academy map.
Same music track added to the SP menu (previously no music played)
Server list now shows more servers at a time, making the font smaller. Before it was huge and only showed around 10 at a time.
New video plays in the main menu, just to give it something new.
Server info window is now grey, so it's easier to see black names
Hopefully more changes will happen later. This is the first release.

This was a mod I've had in my base for years but never shared it. Decided to work on it a bit more and release it. It's hard NOT to use it now.
Also, keep in mind this won't work with other main menu mods, for the most part, if they edit the actual menu.

Alternative blades, colors and trails

This mod changes the default lightsaber colors in-game.
This is the fixed version of this mod in which I have fixed the orange color and the floaty white bits.
I have also added a slight point to the base of the blades.

Prequel Sabers

I've been working on lightsaber blades & saber_trails that look like in the prequel movies, as much as possible.
To be honest, this was my first try at making lightsaber blades, taking that into consideration; this turned out pretty good.
Not that there aren't enough lightsaber blade mods already, infact; there are some pretty good looking files uploaded here,
but I just felt like trying something different since I feel more comfortable mapping.. Next update will include new sounds as well.
I haven't tested this on OpenJk yet, but it should work just fine.
Readme file included.

This simply turns your basic red blade into more Star Wars 7: Force Awakens blade-look-a-like
and also as bonus it replaces your orange blade into the black saber from TFU (Force Unleashed).
My opinion is that the teaser video, the blade is red not orange, so now you'll have choice.
I noticed, that there are a lot new mods for the "Force Unleashed" black/white/negative saber blade
or whatever it is called. So since I was one of the very first to make it for Jedi Academy (JKA),
together with one old friend - Spior - and no need to install mods like "JKA+" and since some say
the "old version 2" was better as TFU blade, I have combined the last (SW 7 Blade + TFU blade ver.1)
together giving you this brand "new" version 2 of the "Star Wars 7 - red/sith blade & bonus Force Unleashed black blade"
WARNING: THIS IS !!N-O-T!! a real-based blade effect on the Star Wars 7 movie, since it is even not out yet (comes out December 2015)
I just made own blades!! They have nothing to do with the movie.
INSTALL:
Put the "SW 7 Blade + TFU blade (ver2).pk3" into your: JediKnight\GameData\Base
folder and you are ready to go
UNINSTALL: Remove the .pk3 file from your "Base" folder

The Jedi Academy Texture Overhaul v.0.3 Full
Jedi Academy is a great Game but since it is from 2003, the graphics need an overhaul for that the fan of the force may have the best gaming experience possible!
This Mod will, when finished, replace nearly all in-game textures (which seem somehow blurry and grey-ish) with High-dynamic-range-like Versions of them and/or with custom textures of 2 times (some even 8! times) the original size. It is perfectly safe and very easy to install or uninstall from your system because it will not alter the files in your installation folder directly.
More detailed instructions will be included in the release(s).
This will be my first real mod, so I hope people will like it and use it.
This Pack includes all Levels I hav finished upp to date. This is: Yavin, Tatooine, Blenjeel, Taspir and some small parts of hoth (please download seperate hoth level 1.4 for full retexture). Also I fixed several issues and did some changes to the already finished packs (see Changelog below). I will also upload each level as a seperate pack.

Thick Uniform Blades2+High Res

Since people seem to like these blades i wanted to do more with this file. After alot of trial and error i made an attempt at some movie inspired saber trails and a much better new saberflare that i was happy with, slightly increased the saturation of the glows and blended the edges of the saber lines a bit better. I've also removed that annoying yellow aura around the hand and saber hilt when it's dropped on the ground. Hope everyone enjoys it.

Tatooine Sky

This mod changes the desert skybox to look more like Tatooine, complete with two suns and a vast dune sea. The default one looks pretty bad, so this hopefully improves it a little. If you’re a stickler for detail of Star Wars canon, this mod is for you.
Originally made this as a request to add a second star to the sky but decided to improve the entire skybox and release it publicly.
Important note:
The Desert skybox is used by other maps, so it’ll change those as well. One major one is t1_danger in single player. So it might look bad on there, but if you’re a MP player, it shouldn’t be a big deal.

Episode 2 Blades

These were some pretty good round sabers I found on filefront/jk3 files. These don't conflict with the hilts I use so they are ideal for me. Here's the realm that came with the file, it is also included in the zip:
[update: new blade shape, sounds, and colors] These recreate the blades seen in ep2.
The screens are pretty bad so check it out yourself in the game. Remove any other saber
mods (INCLUDING MY OLD ONES IF U HAVE EM). Put selected pk3's in gamedata/base folder
(jka or jk2). The colors in the ep2.blades_v3.pk3 are using the originals.
So if you want the new colors, add the other pk3's to the gamedata/base folder.

This mod gives you nicer looking saber colors and blades that look more like the ones you saw in the movies. Sharp, straight saber blades with a round tip.
Both the colors and blades have been upscaled, which also makes them look better.
I've worked on this for a year but didn't release it, because I didn't feel like I'm done with it. Now that I think I got a nice result I am releasing this on JKHub.org.
Even though I've worked on this for a long time, I'm still not very sure if I got the trail right. Some time ago I managed to get a trail that looked great on katas, though the
problem with that is that you miss the trail when doing normal swings then. So I had to make a compromise between two things. I think it's good enough right now, I
especially like the orange trail :]
Installation instructions:
This package includes two files, zzz_EvulantSaberGFX.pk3 which is for mods that use OpenJK and thus a better .jpg format and zzz_EvulantSaberGFX_basejka.pk3 which is for everything
based on basejka / mods that use the old MP source code. I did this because putting the images into the ''old'' format (I don't know much about that tbh) made them get some weird
spots in it which I didn't like (and couldn't change).
So basically, if you want to use this in OpenJK (-based mods), put zzz_EvulantSaberGFX.pk3 in your mods' folder and for non-OpenJK and basejka or you have to use zzz_EvulantSaberGFX_basejka.pk3.

Cross-guard Lightsaber Cursor

Included along with this file should be a "zVIICursor.zip" file. Unzip the folder and place the pk3 contained within in the Base folder of your Jedi Academy directory.
This mod will change the appearance of the cursor in Jedi Academy so that it resembles the new cross-guard lightsaber teased at in the trailers of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

Jedi Academy: Enhanced
Great mod. Introduces some QoLs and modern resolution. However, it also introduces many bugs that alter the experience. VJun2: Kyle gets stuck in ceiling after water pump cutscene and there's no way to skip VJun3: There's a hole in the middle the combat room against Rosh that leads to the cutscene Cult Investigation- Tanaab: This mission is completely screwed. The containers are missing and the room transitions textures are missing.- 1

Jedi Academy PBR Retexture

PBR textures to use with compatible renderers (rend2 in particular). This package covers most of SP textures and some of MP. It also includes reflection probes for SP levels, There are some known issues, especially with md3 normal maps, and please report in comments about any problems you see. Installation Extract two pk3 files to the "base" directory. Note: base color textures override default diffuse textures. As a result, this package makes everything look flat with vanilla renderer. I recommend to install OpenJK with rend2 plus "Setup UI" (or use console commands) to enable reflections, parallax mapping and SSAO. Usage All modders are allowed to use these files in their project without additional permission, but if you fix bugs in my shaders or textures please share them with me to keep this package up to date. -

JKHub Exclusive 28 New Saber Colors
Great mod! super colors! I only wish the colors remained in cinematics instead of snapping back to original color - is there a way to change that? There are saber hilts available in game menu - does anybody know how to add colors? Just a thought! -

Jedi Academy: Enhanced
Hello, I absolutely love this mod and just got it installed today, but I ran into one issue I can't resolve or troubleshoot (at least not to the best of my knowledge) and I need help! No matter what I do, Jaden just skates/glides on the ground instead of running! It happens every time, without a fail. I'm not the best when it comes to installing mods, did I not install the mod correctly? Below I will attach a gif of what happens to me to see if anyone can help with my issue. Thanks in advance! - TK-221 -

Captain Pellaeon - Heir to the Empire
Mods like this always make me smile. The concept is straight forward, but its a character that is super important to anyone that enjoyed the Legacy books. Pellaeon had such a rich and long history and the execution of this model is perfect. The face is unique and lifelike. Very well crafted.- 1
