  1. The Ladder

    Originally released: 04-08-2002
The Ladder is pure, nonstop combat.
There are three files for two download options:
ladder.pk3 - the full package - the map and the music
ladder_nomusic.pk3 - A small download for dial-up users. Everything but the music.
ladder_music.pk3 - just the music, for those who got the map and now want the music.
To install:  There is no "install"!  Just move the ladder.pk3 file (or whichever version you downloaded) into your "GameData\base" subfolder wherever you installed your game.
To load The Ladder do either of the following:
    1) Bring down the console (SHIFT+~) and type "map ladder"
    OR
    2) Go to your load menu and load the savegame named "ladder". Be warned, however, that I saved the game on hard difficulty, if you want to play on an easier difficulty, either set it in the menu or on the console (set "g_spskill" to "0" or "1").
You will have to fight your way through endless waves of reborn (54 of them), each wave progressively tougher than the last.  But, you start the map with full saber and force powers (except saber throw 3 because level 3 saberthrow is better for fighting stormtroopers than jedi).  You will even fight Tavion and, at the very end, Desann!
IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE FULL GAME, DO NOT PLAY THIS AS IT WILL RUIN THE ENDING FOR YOU!
The music is a bit tongue-in cheek, but I think it increases the fun level, so crank it up!!! 🙂
It is also just a fun level to mess with as far as spawning in friendly jedi and watching them go at it.
Try binding these console commands to whatever keys you want, then you can spawn in allies on the fly:
(note: first enable cheats by bringing down the console with the SHIFT+~ (tilde key) and typing "helpusobi 1" on the console)
    npc spawn jedi
    npc spawn jedi2
    npc spawn jeditrainer
    npc spawn luke
    npc spawn jediF
I think that last one works, I found all of these in the NPCs.cfg that's in the .pk3 file.  A fun thing to do, sometimes, is to turn on "notarget" mode and spawn in some goodguys and see how well they do at the ladder. "notarget" makes enemies ignore you - bring down the console and type "notarget" to toggle this on and off.
Also, to try saber combat with a different feel, use these console variables:
g_saberRealisticCombat - from what I can tell, setting this to "1" makes sabers a little more dangerous, setting it to "2" makes the saber *always* do damage!  Warning: this makes enemy sabers more dangerous, too!
g_saberAutoBlocking - Manual blocking!  Set this to "1" and you have to bind a key to "+block" to effectively block anything. Your saber may still block stuff, but it won't do it well and it won't auto-move to block hits... I don't think you can attack while holding the block button.
g_saberMoveSpeed - This seems to slow you down when attacking with the saber.  Kind of cool if you want more movie-like walking saber-battles... "1" is normal speed, less than that is slower, higher than that is faster.
g_saberAnimSpeed - seems to speed up or slow down the speed of saber animations, for faster or slower paced combat, I guess. "1" is normal speed, less than that is slower, higher than that is faster.
g_saberAutoAim - I'm not sure, but I think this turns off some of the special moves that you can do without actually trying? Like backstabs - in the game, if there is someone behind you and you hit the attack key, it automatically backstabs.  If you turn this off (set to "0"), you have to hold the move backwards key plus attack to backstab.  I guess it just gives you more control by not doing some stuff for you.
Also, I highly recommend setting your Slow Mo Death to level 3, the slow-mo after killing a reborn gives you a good view of
the other enemies around you and gives you a chance to plan your next move.
The map, itself, is based on the "pit" map that was in the JK2 assets0.pk3 file for some reason (I am *not* a map-maker, so sue me... 🙂
Strategy Note: Don't feel bad if you have to save a few times to finish this map, I went nuts with the enemies and I can't get through it without saving, either... 🙂

  2. Kyle's Nightmare (Russian version)

Mod Name: Kyle/Rayne's Nightmare. (kyle's nightmare) Version: Completed. Installation method: Take and copy the archive to the root folder of the game (Game Data --> Base.)
The plot of the mod: The main character has a nightmarish dream. He is the great thug of the galaxy who is being chased by the Empire and the New Republic. Lawlessness and corruption reign everywhere. But is everything as simple as it seems? (The only Bug in the Mod is the protagonist's lightsaber, it should be red, not blue. The problem has not been resolved yet.)

In this mod, weapons and additional weapons are also modernized. And there is a new mechanic, namely the Mechanics of Personal Growth. It works like this: The game now has an additional. Tasks are marked with a star ,,*,,. Completing tasks of this class, your parameters (Pr) will increase by +1. (Curiosity, Thrift, Accuracy, Crit, Weapon Skill). No matter how hard I tried, it was not possible to automate, so you can take a piece of paper and a pen - fill it out as you wish.
Данный мод даёт ещё один новый взгляд на оригинальную игру. Оружие улучшено, текстуры персонажей изменены и сложность тоже. Он труднее обычного, но проходимый.

  3. The Power of Rebellion (Rus ver)

This mod will tell a new story. The textures have been changed, the weapon has been modernized, the plot has been changed. New parameters have been added to the character Rein, but I'm doing it manually on paper.
This mod tells the player a new story. Where we, playing as Rain Jordan - an officer of Bespin and for one friend of Lando, agreed to help the New Republic in solving common problems. As the Jedi are traitors, so is the rising Empire.
In this mod, weapons and additional weapons are also modernized. And there is a new mechanic, namely the Mechanics of Personal Growth. It works like this: The game now has an additional. (There are 3 bugs - this is the main character's lightsaber, it should be Green, not blue. Second, the opening credits could not be changed to suit the plot. Third, some allies, notably from the mod, can shoot at you, NOT ALL, some. Ignore them.)
----Voice acting, as well as an alternative ending will most likely be in new versions. For the mod is inherently still in development.

  5. The Dark Alliance

    Author: Steven Brown (Blaster)
    Date Of Release: November 2002
    Description:
This is the sequel to my singleplayer map 'The Mainframe 2.0'. If you have not yet played 'The Mainframe 2.0' then I suggest you download and play it before you play this one.
You can get it from the following websites:
    The Mainframe
The Dark Alliance II: Vengeance of the Sith
I hope you enjoy this map just as much as I did making it.... no really I did!
    - Blaster
    Story:
A year has passed since the encounter with Darth Vader at the mainframe complex on Kejim. It has remained a mystery to how Darth Vader was somehow brought back to life and the Republic have found no leads to the location of Tavion.

    UNTIL NOW!
A smuggler known as Marlow Baruk, brother of Reelo Baruk, has been receiving large quantities of Imperial equipment. Republic spies have found that Tavion, along with her new forces, have been negotiating with the smuggler in a quiet part of Narshaddaa. It is believed that she is giving Imperial equipment to Marlow in order for her to create a secret base underneath Marlow's own hideout and are allying their forces together in an attempt to start a war against the New Republic. If this kind of act is to occur then who knows what will happen.

An offensive has not been easy and all attempts to inspect Marlow's hideout are at a loss. He refuses to co-operate. The Republic has no choice but to send in someone to investigate.
Kyle is now a Jedi mercenary agent working for the New Republic and they have called for his skills in dealing with these matters and besides Kyle has some unfinished business with Tavion. The mission is not going to be easy. First Kyle must inspect Marlow's hideout and see if he can find Marlow himself and interrogate him. Then if possible he must apprehend Tavion inside her secret base and send a signal to blue squad, so they can take control of the base and investigate what Tavion has been up to.

Marlow's hideout will be well guarded and the entrance will surely be hidden.

  6. The Mainframe

    Author: Steven Brown (Blaster)
    Date Of Release: July 2002
    Description:
This is the first in a trilogy of mods. The sequels are:
    The Dark Alliance
The Dark Alliance II: Vengeance of the Sith
This is the second version of my single player level 'The Mainframe'. Most players found Vader to be too tough in the original version and found it could have been bigger. Well now IT IS! There are now two maps, one called part 1 and the other called part 2. Part 2 will be familiar to all those who have played the original. I don't want to spoil any surprises, so what are you waiting for go play!
    Story:
Kyle and Luke have found that Tavion has somehow resurrected Darth Vader. Luke decides to go to Kejim alone and defeat his father once again. At the meantime Kyle must try and find out where Tavion is hiding. However Kyle senses a disturbance in the force and feels that Luke is in trouble. Kyle decides to go to Kejim and help out Luke.

Kyle arrives at the Imperial outpost on Kejim. Luke's ship is there but he is nowhere in sight. However Kyle can sense were he went and follows his trail. Just as he is about to enter the base a Reborn and two stormtroopers come through a door followed by a familiar droid sound approaching from behind. This is it there is no turning back. Can you defeat Darth Vader? or will you fail and allow Vader to bring about the rebirth of the empire.
DO OR DO NOT, THERE IS NO TRY. - Jedi Master Yoda
    Mission Objectives:
Kill Darth Vader Engage all Remnant troops in the area Find Luke Escape with Luke alive Additional Credits:
All the people at jediknightii.net, Michael Frost who created the Darth Vader MOD and Crapse who created the Jedi Knight Reborn skin.
Joe Dyer for the 'Bridge' prefab and Yves Allaire for the 'Bridge' prefab textures. Gidion The Dead for the 'Imperial Screen and Computer' prefab and the 'Hangar' prefabs. Expositus for the 'Imperial Eagle' prefab.
All prefabs credited can be found at www.jedioutcastmaps.com.

    Installation Information:

Simply put the Mainframe 2.0.pk3 file in your jedioutcast/gamedata/Mainframe 2.0 directory, load up the game goto the 'Setup' menu and click on 'Mods' then click on Mainframe 2.0 and then click 'Load Mod'. Then bring down the console and type in "map part_1" (without the quotes). If at any time you just wish to play part 2 type in the console "map part_2" (without the quotes).
Using the 'Mods' menu will allow you to put in the Reborn Advanced and Vader.
If you don't know how to bring down the console goto the Jedi Outcast main menu and press the ` key and the left shift key together.
If you wish to quit the credits at the end either press your use button to speed them up or bring down the console and type "quit" (without the quotes).

    Construction Information:
Vis Time:   About 45 Minutes for both maps
    Build Time: About 50 hours
Known Bugs: While fighting the Advanced Reborn you may hear Kyle say the line "Strange he looked like a Jedi and fought like a Jedi etc." This is supposed to happen only when you have defeated him but for some reason he just says it sometimes. At one point he even said it four times! It seems to happen not that often though. Another bug which has happened only twice is some kind of sound problem. What happens is the game will stop and return to the main menu with a 'sound input out of range' type of error. I don't know what this is but it happened twice when I was destroying the probe droids with a saber throw. It happens very rarely though and if it happens with you then just restart the level and play again. Hopefully the problem won't happen again on your second go.
Author Notes: My apologies to all the people who were annoyed with the fact that Vader took about 600 hits to kill him in version 1.0. Now Vader's hit points are 4000 and Luke's are 2500. Vader is still tough but should take less time to kill. Vader and Luke only spawn when you are going up the elevator. This should fix the Luke dying straight away bug.

  7. Watto Bartender Replacement - Jedi Outcast

This is a fun little mod I made for a laugh! I replaced the bartender from the famous ns_streets cutscene with Watto.. for some reason..
I'm still not sure why I made this honestly.

I used audio from the movies, and the Pod Racer game, to try and make the conversation fitting, and funny.
I won't spoil the conversation, you'll have to download it, If you ever wanted Watto in your JK2 campaign.
I also edited the subtitles to match.

I've also added a JK3 version for anybody that wants to use this in the 'Jedi Outcast - Academy' mod.
The animations in the JK3 version are completely off, which kinda makes it funnier in my opinion.
I don't know why this is though, as the Watto model is a JK2 model.

This is just silly mod I made for a laugh, I might make more if I can come up with any ideas.
Credit goes to Hans Moleman who made the amazing Watto model.

  8. Lady Jedi - French Version

    (French description below)

    Hello there!

Today there is a new full translation of a mod: Lady Jedi. With this file, you could play this story with French subtitles and voices, based on a translation work from Russian to English by JKHub member Numfast.
I made some enhancements, eventually reverb effects when characters were in caves or something. As the Nazar Design Group, the creators of Lady Jedi, is dead now, this version was made without its authorization.

Note that you have to install the original file. This one is just a replacement of voices and texts in French, you won't find scripts, maps etc. You can find the original Lady Jedi file by clicking here.
English subtitles are still available in addition with the French ones. Numfast give me his authorization to put his work in this one, so all English texts are his property. More informations are in the Readme.

If some people are interested, they can find a file with the French cast of this mod, because it was not possible to make it in the end credits. Have fun!

The story takes place during Roman Era. You are Gluteus Maximus, a thief who is forced to fight as a gladiator. Will you become the best gladiator of the arena, of Roman Empire, and the crowd's favourite man? Or will you finish as lion's fodder, like many people before you? Show the mob what you have got!

This mod contains a lot of new models, new textures and informations about the Roman Games culture.

  10. Star Wars Lady Jedi

    Uploaded by
    Numfast

"Star Wars Lady Jedi" is a mod for "Jedi Outcast" made be "Nazar Design Group" back in 2004. In this mod you play as a Jedi of Old Republic, Mariel Waterfall, who fights against The Empire(this mod came out before "Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith", because of that here you see that Empire was born then Republic was still existing). Mod includes 12 maps.
This mod is on russian language. So, if you don't know that language and still want to play, I suggest you to read story here on "JKHub wiki" after you complete walkthrough: https://jkhub.org/wiki/index.php/Lady_Jedi#Plot

    -Installation-:
Put the "LadyJedi" folder in your "GameData" directory of JO and launch it from mod menu in setup(menu will be on english, but gameplay - on russian)
Optional: if you want to switch on blood just change extension of "ladyjedi_blood" file from "off" to "pk3" after dot.

    -Uninstallation-:
Delete "LadyJedi" folder from "GameData" directory of JO.

    -Warning-:
Some content of this mod is 16+, please take into consideration before downloading and playing.
While playing "Lady Jedi" you can meet glithces that weren't in original release. This may happen because "Lady Jedi" was released as separate game, although it's still mod. I just took assets that this mod requires to work.

    -Disclaimer-:
You can ask me: "Why you have uploaded on JKHub not your mod, without permission and released it not standalone, as the original release was?" Well, some people tried to find this mod for years. I can't get permisiion because the "NDG" and their site are dead for years. And I released "Lady Jedi" as normal mod because the standalone release was made only for one thing: to profit money from fans, without permission from "LucasArts.", which isn't legal.

  11. Star Wars Communication Force

"Star Wars Communication Force" is a mod for "Jedi Outcast" made by "Nazar Design Group" back in 2003 (before JA came out). This mod provides you to take control on Mark Pride - a Jedi Student in the Jedi Academy, who is sent on important mission: find out what new kind of weapon against New Republic was invented by Remnant forces. This mod includes 13 new maps, which connected by plot.
This mod is on russian language. So, if you don't know that language and still want to play, I suggest you to read story here on "JKHub wiki" after you complete walkthrough: https://jkhub.org/wiki/index.php/Communication_Force#Story
    -Installation-:
Just put "ComForce" directory in your "GameData" directory of JO and launch it from "Mod" menu in setup(menu will be on english, but gameplay - on russian).
    -Deinstallation-:
Delete "ComForce" directory from "GameData" directory of JO.
    -Warning-:
While playing "ComForce" you can meet glitches that weren't in original release. This may happen because mod was released originally as separate game(Yes, "NDG" tried to take some profit from it, which isn't legal) and some original JO assets maybe were modyfied. For example the maps from JO were cut (I've compared unmodified and modified assets of JO, only files that wasn't used in this mod were cut, but there is probability that I forgot to check some of them). So, I just took archives that has new assets for this mod and put them in new directory. Thanks to that you can play this mod only using your copy of JO as it was meant to be sometime.
    -Disclaimer-:
You can ask me: "Why you have uploaded on JKHub not your mod, without permission and released it not standalone, as the original release was?" Well, some people tried to find this mod for years. And I released "ComForce" as normal mod because the standalone release was made only for one thing: to profit money from fans, without permission from "LucasArts.", which isn't legal as I said above.

  18. The Emperor's Death Star

    Author: Zeus

    Submitted by: swagmaster

This is a single-player conversion mod for Jedi Outcast, originally on jk3files before it was shut down. Btw, this is also my very first file upload on jkhub. Enjoy!

This is not a normal map. It is a mod which means you must unzip the zip file to your GAMEDATA directory. This will create a sp_Deathstar file in your gamedata directory (Make sure that you extract with folder paths enabled). Then run the game and click on setup, mods and then load the sp_Deathstar mod.
You can then do one of two of the following.

    Storyline :
    ----------

After not receiving word from Kyle's team from the Emperor's Courthouse, Luke decides to investigate and find out about the Emperor's whereabouts and about the Emperor's ultimate weapon - the Death Star. To reach the Death Star, Luke must battle his way through the underground hangar on Endor to acquire a Tie Fighter to infiltrate the Death Star. He steps into his X-Wing and begins the journey...

  19. A Plot Is Brewing In The Outer Rim

A single player project for Jedi Outcast set in the after the Battle of Yavin and before the Battle of Hoth. You take on the role of a Rebel agent sent to the Bajic Sector to explore an unknown outpost that has the top brass at the Rebellion interested.

*It is up to you, the player, to seek out the blank, "black textured" computer terminals to learn about what is going on here. Through this information you will be able to piece together the story. It is also up to you to take the time and look around to try and get an idea on what is going on.

*This project is best played w/ the Ultimate Weapons Mod using Low Quality Effects. Also, Hapslash's Imperial Officers and Stormtroopers pack is recommended to spruce up it up a bit.

*Weapons, ammo, health, and power ups are limited. There are no force powers or sabers. Ammo has also been reduced.

  20. Stormtroopers are Gangsters

This isn't really anything special, my friend asked me to replace the pre-placed stormtroopers in JK2 with the random gangsters seen in Nar Shaddaa and Bespin without actually replacing the stormtrooper NPC. NPC_Stormtrooper will now randomly choose between the Weequays, Rodians, Trandoshans, Grans, etc. Also, I gave the granboxer the DEMP2 since the regular grans double as boxers. The Imperial Officers and Stormtrooper Officers are unaltered. Enjoy! Or don't!
Before you get this, back up your jk2sp.exe and jk2gamex86.dll! I cannot stress this enough.
THIS REQUIRES JK2 PATCH 1.04. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IT THE GAME WILL CRASH

  21. Turquoise

So.. these are my first real and released maps made with the jk2editor for this game.
This mod has 2 normal levels and one testmap, all made completely by myself. They're
random themed, i used quite strange design ideas inspired by abstract wallpapers and
some weird dreams i had some time ago. They are made in some sort of ladder style,
surviving waves and that stuff.. Fighting until it ends.

I wanted to write a story for this and make it longer, but i'm not interested anymore
in this theme, so i thought i'll finish them quickly and release. This is a final version,
and there will be no updates (just a bugfix if necessarry, but it should work perfectly as
it was planned). Have fun, slaughter all those remnant and sith guys there and write a
review about what you've experienced! I have some experience with this kind of editor,
but these are my first maps for this game made with the editor, consider that!

Thanks for DarthStevenus for the lightning effect!

  22. Ultimate Outcast

So here is my 'map pack' called ultimate outcast, which is not
made in a simple way. It uses the original JO multiplayer maps,
i modified them, so they're now full with opponents.
You won't find a complete storyline, there is no connection
    between each map.
I didn't use any weapon or npc modification, this is some kind
of 'oldschool' mappack with the original jedi knight 2 atmosphere.
There is no ending area in any of the levels, you just have to
eliminate every enemy, which is in your sight, but i will give
you some short objectives for every map.

Thanks for Raven Software for the original maps. I only had one
reason to create this, because the levels are fun to play this
    way also (:

  23. Dragon Remix: EndGame Edition

    Original Author: Covax

    Description:

The final Evolution of the Dragon Remix MOD, combining the BEST Single-Player mod for Jedi Outcast. If interest is high enough I'll release the updated multiplayer game and weapons add-ons. Now I can get to work on some Jedi Academy mods...

This is a 'total conversion' of the Single Player experience. There are no new maps, although it's a fun mod to use in conjuction with fan-made SP maps.

    - Vanguard and Anatares (aka Kyle and Jan) have sabers and force powers at begining.
    - Most of the skins, weapon models and effects have been changed in some way.
    - You'll see a bunch of cameos from Writer's Block Media and the original Blade Mod crew.
    - Red and Blue sword styles are now Desann's and Tavion's respectively
    - Sparks and smoke replaced by blood. Stumps are dark red rather than yellow.
    - Better acrobatics: Cartwheel and Butterfly Kick relaces the rolls.
    - Cooler pistol-firing animation (in my oppinon)
    - Jump: 'Force Jump' style and 'Force Getup'.
    - Dismemberment is now fully enabled. This also has the effect of making the swords very lethal.
    - Every one of the weapons leaves the cool glowing mark that the disruptor usually leaves.
    - Force Lightning replaced with a Fire effect.

    Instructions:

Unpack in your /GameData/ folder. A DragonRemix folder should be created. Either use the attached .BAT file or activate under Options->Mods in the starup screen.

    Bugs:

1 - Like other models modification this MOD will NOT work correctly with saved games - the weapons will be bound to the wrong bone. It works fine if you start up a map through the console, or start the game from the beginning.

2 - I have NO idea how this mod will effect other MODS. It works fine with other Single Player levels that have no conflicting skin/model changes. By default remove/rename the NPCs.cfg file in one of the mods and everything should work fine.

3 - There may be a problem in the Besbin Streets level. The 3rd Reborn encounter, by the landing platform, dosen't seem to work. You may have to NOLCIP your way though the door to continue.

  24. Jedi Knight II: Dragon Remix (Demo)

    Original Author: Covax

    Description:

First I was just going to do a skin pack for myself and my freind at the Writer's Block, dubbed 'WB: Tornament'. Then I stared throwing in dragon pictures on all of the skins and I realized that Desann would be an ultimate 'Dragon Warlord'. I figured the Ladder mod needed some spicing up and there are a TON of 'little' modifications that get ignored.

So now I decided to 'Remix' the full game and create a MOD that would add a cool spin to a classic game. This demo is really the Hoth level from the Jedi Knight Demo. Only the MODs relevent to this level (Skins, sounds) have been added, the other skins, weapons and sounds will be released in the full version.

    - Kung Fu-type moves for the Jedi, as well as different Red and Yellow sword styles for Kyle.

    - Lightsabers replaced with different swords for characters. Reborn has have 'ninja' swords, Kyle has a Katana.

    - Different 'modern' guns.

    - Varous skins updates/changes. Dragons everywhere.

    - Bryar pistol replaced with a throwing knife.

    - Current versions of Jedi Moves and Blood mods added.

    Instructions:

    Place in your GameData/base folder.

Either load the game titled 'Demo' in the Save section or toggle the console and tupe the command 'map demo'.

  25. The Ladder: Dragon Remix

    Original Author: Covax

    Description:

Basically this is SP skin/weapon modification, the 'hidden' sword styles and The Ladder level, which is a great way to test your swordsmanship. The Skins of Kyle, Luke and all the Reborn/Dark Jedi have been altered in several ways.

First I was just going to do a skin pack for myself and my freind at the Writer's Block, dubbed 'WB: Tornament'. Then I stared throwing in dragon pictures on all of the skins and I realized that Desann would be an ultimate 'Dragon Warlord'. I figured the Ladder mod needed some spicing up, the fact that the mod seems to effect the SP game is a bonus. Seeing Dessan do a butterfly kick will make your jaw drop.

    Instructions:

Place in your GameData/base folder. Play as normal form the begining /or/ load up the exellect Ladder level from the Savegames or the console command 'map ladder'.

    Bugs:

1- I've been working on this for a week: I have no idea WHY but it seems that this mod no londer works in the single-player campain. I've narrowed it down to a possible problem with the modified Kyle skin/model, since replacing them with the 'plain' Kyle works fine. Fan-made single player levels (like The Ladder) seem to work ok, so it may just be a problem with the cutscenes. I'm working on it.

2- This MOD will NOT work correctly with saved games - the katana seems to be bound to the wrong bone. It works fine if you start up a map through the console, or start the game from the beginning.
