  1. Base Vehicles Hover-Tweak

    Description:

Once installed, this mod enables the following Base JA vehicles to come to a complete stop whilst in still in flight.

    X-Wing (/npc spawn vehicle x-wing)
Tie Fighter (/npc spawn vehicle tie-fighter)
Tie Bomber (/npc spawn vehicle tie-bomber)
    Tie Bomber 2 (/npc spawn vehicle tie-bomber2)
Lambda Shuttle (/npc spawn vehicle lambdashuttle)
    Z-95 (/npc spawn vehicle z-95)

Note that this .pk3 overwrites the originals, so no new commands are required to spawn them. If you choose to upload this .pk3 to your server, your clients shouldn't actually have to download this for themselves, having tested that. Placing this in your Base folder will not allow you to hover on a server that does not have the pk3 uploaded. If you'd like to use the vehicles for solo games, then you only need to place this in your Base folder!

  2. Vader's Tie VM

This model came from Raven's assets within the game. I simply made it a usable vehicle.

    ******************************READ THIS BEFORE PLAYING***************************************

    Instructions:
    1) In order to spawn the craft you need to acivate cheats heres how you do it.

Singleplayer- Load a level, I suggest the "Trip" levels, the once your in the game make sure you move your character to an area big enough to spawn the craft (big and somewhat flat) hit "shift and tild (~)" to activate the console. Next type "devmapall"...hit enter (cheats are now on)...next type "npc spawn vehicle (vehicle's name)" Example: npc spawn vehicle tievadervm.

Here is the npc vehicle name for this pack...
    tievadervm

cont... close the console by hitting the tild (~) again. Now this is the most important part, move back to allow the ship to spawn, it may need alot of space. Once the ship spawns you simply move up and hit your "USE" key (usually return). Now you can fly!
**Now read this part carefully**, or you'll end up crashing into everything before you know it. To lift off you push down the space bar, but dont hold it down too long or youll activate the turbo thrust (this will cause a crash almost always), just lift off a little and tap the forward key a few times. The more times you tap the faster you will go. Use turbo only when you know you have enough space to jet.

Multiplayer- To activate cheats, you do thing a little different. activate the console by hitting shift+tild(~). Next type /devmapall "mapname". Example: /devmapall kotor_flight_school. The map will load with cheats activated. Now join the game and find a large area to spawn the craft. Open the console again and type /npc spawn vehicle "vehicle name". Example: /npc spawn vehicle falconvm. Notice that single player you have to put the "/" slash before the command.

    2) You can only have so many .veh files or the game wont even load a map. So you may have to pull vehicles out in order to use other ones. I think the limit is 12, but I'm not sure. If you happen to have the "Kotor_flight_school" map, then there are already 3 vehicles added to your overall amount. You may want to remove the map, or open the pk3, and remove the vehicles in the "Kotor" files. I like the Kotor map to fly around in, so of course I chose the second option.
One thing you may want to do is create a folder called "vehicle drop" in your base folder. That way you can shuffle vehicles in or out as needed.

  3. Hailfire Droid

    Author: Duncan_10158

    Model Name: "hailfire_droid06.pk3"

    Author Mesh: Duncan_10158

    Contact: http://io.meskinaw.net/

    Skins: Monsoontide

    Sounds: Yes

Concept: A self-aware mobile missile-platform used exclusively by the InterGalactic Banking Clan, hailfire droids delivered surface-to-surface and surface-to-air strikes with their stacked banks of 30 rocket warheads.
Hailfires roll along on oversized hoop-like wheels. In between the bracketing axle arms is a small, central body equipped with a single photoreceptor.
When the InterGalactic Banking Clan pledged its forces to the Confederacy of Independent Systems (in a non-exclusive arrangement, of course), its hailfire droids were added to the immense Separatist battle droid army. (starwars.com/databank)

  4. Glider Vehicle

This is a new vehicle for Jedi Academy, based on the unused Glider NPC. RavenSoft included several files for this NPC in JK2, but as far as I can recall it wasn't actually used. The model can be spawned in base JKA, but it has no textures, so it's invisible, and it doesn't do anything.

This glider belongs to the vh_fighter class, so you can take off, fly around at different speeds, and land again in something that resembles a cross between a pterodactyl and a heron.

To take off, just get in (use) the glider, and press the jump key (spacebar by default), until you reach far enough off the ground to begin moving forward. Forward is accelerate, back is decelerate, and left and right will cause you to roll. You can steer with the mouse.

To land, simply fly slow just above the ground, and keep decelerating as you nose into the ground. Below a certain altitude, the landing sequence activates automatically. Getting out can be a little tricky; you may need to jump out (use and jump) just before the landing sequence begins. Too early and the glider doesn't finish landing; too late and you can't get out. It gets easier with practice.

The glider accelerates slowly, but can cruise faster than a speeder bike. Deceleration is a bit faster. I set the throttle so that you don't have to keep changing speeds.

The glider isn't actually as wide as its wingspan suggests, so you can fit through fairly small openings, although you can also roll for a more dramatic effect (this takes some practice).

This NPC comes without any weapons (no muzzle in the model, since it's an animal), but you can swoop down on your enemies and hit them! Try flying through the canyons in t2_trip and taking out some mercs!

Since there weren't any sounds or animation for the original NPC, I used some sounds from other base models that seemed like they'd fit.

Without any death animation, I decided to keep the droid explosion effect that was here for a stopgap.

So yes, the flying lizards explode when killed.

  5. R41 Starchaser

The R41 Starchaser is a starfighter comparable to the Z-95 Headhunter. In fact the R41 was created to directly compete with the Z-95 for king of the low-budget starfighters. It was slightly faster and slightly more powerful, thus making it a popular choice for smugglers, pirate, and criminal organization, such as Black Sun.

Because of its status as a budget fighter, the R41 is generally "personalized" by whoever is using it. The producers of the R41, Heorsh-Kessel Drive Inc, creates them this way, so everything from the armament to the hyperdrive can be customized by the buyer. As a result almost no two R41 Starchasers are quite the same.

  7. Star Fox Arwing

Frankly I am surprised nobody has made this for JK3 sooner! (Unless someone did and I didn't know?)

To get in game, open the console and type npc spawn vehicle arwing_v2 (yes I made an experimental version before this one but am not releasing it)

If you've never heard of the Arwing, it's the starfighter from Star Fox games made by Nintendo. I modeled this one roughly around the one from Star Fox 64 (3D). It's a nimble and fast fighter with plenty of firepower. It's probably an unfair vehicle for JK3 for the fact it has more health and shields than the X-wing, out runs the Tie-Fighter, and has linked rapid-fire twin lasers and a homing concussion missile. So if you are dog-fighting against any vanilla JK3 vehicles, it will probably be a forgone conclusion who will come out on top.

The wings and fins are animated! The wings swing outward and the bottom part of the fins open to reveal the lasers.

This ship also comes with sounds from Star Fox 64! This website http://www.starfox-online.net/Media/sfx-sf64/ has them to download/direct link.

Even if you've never played any of the Star Fox games, this is a fun one to fly! If you're wanting to add it to a map, or modify it, just make sure to credit me for the original.

One last thing... DO A BARREL ROLL!

  8. Battlestar Galactica Vehicle Pack

This pack contains several vehicles from Battlestar Galactica show. The original series Viper model (referred as mark I in reimagined series) was created by Mars Marshall and was already at filefront, but it lacked appropriate weapon effects and had buggy shader.

Mark II and mark VII Vipers, raptors and cylon raiders from reimagined series were created by Coxxon and converted to JKA format by me.

For those who hate spawning in console and want a map with new vehicles, i added one. I edited Kotor flight school final map (FSF), added TFFA and CTF game modes support
and added the new BSG vehicles.

YOU HAVE TO get original FSF map for this edited version to work. They both will be playable separately:
    FSF.bsp - original map
    FSF_BSG.bsp - edited map
If you do not want tons of vehicles that come with original FSF map, just install FSF.pk3 from the map archive and install this BSG pack.

    ***Trouble shoot***
    1) vehicle wont spawn- make sure you have enough space to spawn, make sure you have cheats activated, make sure you use the proper npc name.
    2) vehicle wont take off- You may have spawned the vehicle too close to a wall or rock. This will ancor the vehicle so that it wont move.
    3) The vehicle keeps crashing- Read instructions up above, if you practice youll find that controlling the craft is pretty easy with practice. Big note here, you need a map with alot of room. Also keep from flying to high because the maps will have an invisible ceiling height that will cause you to crash. If you fly to fast into a cliff wall, you will be sent into a spinning crash! The crash detection is very sensative to fast collisions.

  13. TIE V-38 Assault Fighter

A lot of you, as I know, don't have a clue what this fighter is or where it came from. It was originally from an early Star Wars game, Rebel Assault II, made in 1995. It's actually a pretty good game, but the fighter always made me drool and I've been semi-obsessed with it ever since. Several good models have been made for X-wing Alliance, but I decided Jedi Academy needed one too, and the current model of it is just so insufferably inaccurate that it made want to pull all of my hair out and donate it to the bald.

V-38 and Phantom variations are included (see comments section for more information on the special features of the Phantom variation).

This TIE, classified as an assault fighter due to its heavy weaponry, shields, and hyperdrive, has a three-pronged wing arrangment. It sports three wing-tip laser cannons and two chin-mounted cannons, generally used as ion cannons. Its hyperdrive is outfitted such that it can make only a few short jumps if need be. During one of Lord Vader's failed campaigns, a modified version of this fighter, called the TIE Phantom, was put into mass production. This fighter, while less powerful in armory, had the added bonus of a fully functional cloaking system which rendered it next to invisible to most scanners. Before the TIEs could reach their full potential, however, two Rebel agents destroyed the production facility the TIEs were being produced at. All of these Phantom TIEs were believed to be destroyed.

  17. V-Wing

    V-Wing
    Version 1.0

    Description:
While the robust ARC-170s served as heavy fire craft, the nimble V-wing fighters were better
suited to dogfight engagements against the speedy vulture starfighters and tri-fighters. The needle-nosed
craft could hold a single clone pilot, with a partially covered astromech droid providing navigation and
in-flight repairs. Bracketing the wedge-shaped ship were a set of flat wings extending above and below
the ship. The wings were on articulated collars that allowed them to rotate 90 degrees for landing. Two
pairs of laser cannons were mounted on the wing struts, providing the V-wing with rapid snap-fire
    capability.

    Installation

Just throw the mini_vWing.pk3 in your base and its as simple as that!

    Uninstallation
Take the mini_vWing.pk3 out of the base folder

    Spawn code

    /npc spawn vehicle v-wing

    Notes:
Sometimes when you land and hit "use" to get out of the ship it'll just center the view, but just keep
hittig it and it'll let you out. =P

though that he's very busy with college now to help me anymore =( Also to Inyri for helping me with the
layered shader to give the windows of the cockpit a glare while the rest of the model has a specular glow.

  19. Episode III LEGO Spaceships

    Model by DarthViper107

    Description:

This is a small pack of three Vehicles that I did a while back in Lego form for Jedi Academy.

    Includes:

    Jedi Starfighter (ep3_njs)
    Droid Tri-Fighter (ep3_tri)
    Vulture Droid (ep3_vul)

They all have their own animations and textures, including some new ship damage screens. They are in individual packs but I think the Vulture Droid one needs explosion files from the Droid Trifighter pack.

All of these were modeled and made by me, neither the models or the texures were taken from the Lego Star Wars game. I actually modeled the ships and scanned the Lego pieces to make the models.

To use, start a level in Cheat Mode and then go to the console (Shift+~) and type: npc spawn vehicle <vehiclename>

For <vehiclename> replace it with ep3_njs for the Jedi Starfighter, ep3_tri for the Droid Tri-Fighter, and ep3_vul for the Vulture Droid.

The models are a bit large in polygon count, so if you have a slow computer then you might have trouble. But I don't think that should be an issue for anyone anymore. It has had problems with how many weapons are in the system, if you spawn all of them then one of them might not have any weapons working so don't try to install all of them at the same time.

Load up any map in cheat mode (type "devmap *mapname*" into the console
Once the map is loaded, type "/npc spawn vehicle duality_st" into the console
Or, since this doesn't auto respawn, type "bind z npc spawn vehicle duality_st" into the console
step back and you'll see the vehicle appear where you were standing
press the USE key to get in, then pres JUMP to take off, enjoy!

credits: RaSiN_HeCk -- created the shield display design and the reticle design
Andy867 -- he introduced me to the Duality movie and was the first to ask me to make the model
Desostros -- inspired me to finish it (for his project)
Duncan_10158 -- couldn't have completed this without his vehicle tutorial
    anyone else who helped me

  22. Textureless Swoop Fix

    Description:

When using /npc spawn vehicle swoop, you normally encounter a MAX_QPATH error that winds up with the swoop itself remaining textureless. This mod fixes that, but also lets you choose which colour swoop you'd like that vehicle to be.

  24. Bantha VM

Bantha 2.0!!! What can I say. I couldnt have done this without "Light Ninja". He is a great animator, I must say he improved the model even more, plus the model sits above ground! Included is a death animation. There is a difference in the mounting procedure... Dont be shocked that when the bantha spawns, you will be inside of him... just back up and jump up on the saddle, and have some fun. Mars out

For some fun: spawn wampa's next to bantha, they will attack him!

Special Thanks to: "Light Ninja".... you fixed this beast!!!! Thanks alot man.

  25. Droid Tri-Fighter

You all should know this fighter from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It is the fully automated droid starfighter flown by... well, no one, because they're automated. But these fighters were employed by the CIS to combat the ARC 170 fighter, and they did so quite well.
