  1. The Mainframe

    Author: Steven Brown (Blaster)
    Date Of Release: July 2002
    Description:
This is the first in a trilogy of mods. The sequels are:
    The Dark Alliance
The Dark Alliance II: Vengeance of the Sith
This is the second version of my single player level 'The Mainframe'. Most players found Vader to be too tough in the original version and found it could have been bigger. Well now IT IS! There are now two maps, one called part 1 and the other called part 2. Part 2 will be familiar to all those who have played the original. I don't want to spoil any surprises, so what are you waiting for go play!
    Story:
Kyle and Luke have found that Tavion has somehow resurrected Darth Vader. Luke decides to go to Kejim alone and defeat his father once again. At the meantime Kyle must try and find out where Tavion is hiding. However Kyle senses a disturbance in the force and feels that Luke is in trouble. Kyle decides to go to Kejim and help out Luke.

Kyle arrives at the Imperial outpost on Kejim. Luke's ship is there but he is nowhere in sight. However Kyle can sense were he went and follows his trail. Just as he is about to enter the base a Reborn and two stormtroopers come through a door followed by a familiar droid sound approaching from behind. This is it there is no turning back. Can you defeat Darth Vader? or will you fail and allow Vader to bring about the rebirth of the empire.
DO OR DO NOT, THERE IS NO TRY. - Jedi Master Yoda
    Mission Objectives:
Kill Darth Vader Engage all Remnant troops in the area Find Luke Escape with Luke alive Additional Credits:
All the people at jediknightii.net, Michael Frost who created the Darth Vader MOD and Crapse who created the Jedi Knight Reborn skin.
Joe Dyer for the 'Bridge' prefab and Yves Allaire for the 'Bridge' prefab textures. Gidion The Dead for the 'Imperial Screen and Computer' prefab and the 'Hangar' prefabs. Expositus for the 'Imperial Eagle' prefab.
All prefabs credited can be found at www.jedioutcastmaps.com.

    Installation Information:

Simply put the Mainframe 2.0.pk3 file in your jedioutcast/gamedata/Mainframe 2.0 directory, load up the game goto the 'Setup' menu and click on 'Mods' then click on Mainframe 2.0 and then click 'Load Mod'. Then bring down the console and type in "map part_1" (without the quotes). If at any time you just wish to play part 2 type in the console "map part_2" (without the quotes).
Using the 'Mods' menu will allow you to put in the Reborn Advanced and Vader.
If you don't know how to bring down the console goto the Jedi Outcast main menu and press the ` key and the left shift key together.
If you wish to quit the credits at the end either press your use button to speed them up or bring down the console and type "quit" (without the quotes).

    Construction Information:
Vis Time:   About 45 Minutes for both maps
    Build Time: About 50 hours
Known Bugs: While fighting the Advanced Reborn you may hear Kyle say the line "Strange he looked like a Jedi and fought like a Jedi etc." This is supposed to happen only when you have defeated him but for some reason he just says it sometimes. At one point he even said it four times! It seems to happen not that often though. Another bug which has happened only twice is some kind of sound problem. What happens is the game will stop and return to the main menu with a 'sound input out of range' type of error. I don't know what this is but it happened twice when I was destroying the probe droids with a saber throw. It happens very rarely though and if it happens with you then just restart the level and play again. Hopefully the problem won't happen again on your second go.
Author Notes: My apologies to all the people who were annoyed with the fact that Vader took about 600 hits to kill him in version 1.0. Now Vader's hit points are 4000 and Luke's are 2500. Vader is still tough but should take less time to kill. Vader and Luke only spawn when you are going up the elevator. This should fix the Luke dying straight away bug.

  2. The Power of Rebellion (Rus ver)

This mod will tell a new story. The textures have been changed, the weapon has been modernized, the plot has been changed. New parameters have been added to the character Rein, but I'm doing it manually on paper.
This mod tells the player a new story. Where we, playing as Rain Jordan - an officer of Bespin and for one friend of Lando, agreed to help the New Republic in solving common problems. As the Jedi are traitors, so is the rising Empire.
In this mod, weapons and additional weapons are also modernized. And there is a new mechanic, namely the Mechanics of Personal Growth. It works like this: The game now has an additional. Tasks are marked with a star ,,*,,. Completing tasks of this class, your parameters (Pr) will increase by +1. (Curiosity, Thrift, Accuracy, Crit, Weapon Skill). No matter how hard I tried, it was not possible to automate, so you can take a piece of paper and a pen - fill it out as you wish.

(There are 3 bugs - this is the main character's lightsaber, it should be Green, not blue. Second, the opening credits could not be changed to suit the plot. Third, some allies, notably from the mod, can shoot at you, NOT ALL, some. Ignore them.)
----Voice acting, as well as an alternative ending will most likely be in new versions. For the mod is inherently still in development.

Данный мод расскажет новую историю. Изменены текстуры, модернизировано орудие, сюжет изменён.
Добавлены новые параметры персонажу Рейну, но ведтуся в ручную на бумаге.

  3. Turquoise

So.. these are my first real and released maps made with the jk2editor for this game.
This mod has 2 normal levels and one testmap, all made completely by myself. They're
random themed, i used quite strange design ideas inspired by abstract wallpapers and
some weird dreams i had some time ago. They are made in some sort of ladder style,
surviving waves and that stuff.. Fighting until it ends.

I wanted to write a story for this and make it longer, but i'm not interested anymore
in this theme, so i thought i'll finish them quickly and release. This is a final version,
and there will be no updates (just a bugfix if necessarry, but it should work perfectly as
it was planned). Have fun, slaughter all those remnant and sith guys there and write a
review about what you've experienced! I have some experience with this kind of editor,
but these are my first maps for this game made with the editor, consider that!

Thanks for DarthStevenus for the lightning effect!

  4. Ultimate Outcast

So here is my 'map pack' called ultimate outcast, which is not
made in a simple way. It uses the original JO multiplayer maps,
i modified them, so they're now full with opponents.
You won't find a complete storyline, there is no connection
    between each map.
I didn't use any weapon or npc modification, this is some kind
of 'oldschool' mappack with the original jedi knight 2 atmosphere.
There is no ending area in any of the levels, you just have to
eliminate every enemy, which is in your sight, but i will give
you some short objectives for every map.

Thanks for Raven Software for the original maps. I only had one
reason to create this, because the levels are fun to play this
    way also (:

  6. Watto Bartender Replacement - Jedi Outcast

This is a fun little mod I made for a laugh! I replaced the bartender from the famous ns_streets cutscene with Watto.. for some reason..
I'm still not sure why I made this honestly.

I used audio from the movies, and the Pod Racer game, to try and make the conversation fitting, and funny.
I won't spoil the conversation, you'll have to download it, If you ever wanted Watto in your JK2 campaign.
I also edited the subtitles to match.

I've also added a JK3 version for anybody that wants to use this in the 'Jedi Outcast - Academy' mod.
The animations in the JK3 version are completely off, which kinda makes it funnier in my opinion.
I don't know why this is though, as the Watto model is a JK2 model.

This is just silly mod I made for a laugh, I might make more if I can come up with any ideas.
Credit goes to Hans Moleman who made the amazing Watto model.

  7. Zero-G Combat Training

This is a zero-g combat training facility based on a similar concept from the novel "Ender's Game." The objective is simply to kill all of the Stormtroopers, but have fun doing it. Various ways of completing the objective make the map more fun. You can use emplaced guns, charge right into the fusillade of blaster fire, sit back and snipe from the pillbox-like structures at the edges of the map, or use a combination of all three tactics. Six Rebel soldiers assist you in the fight against the Empire. There is no formal end to the map - just have fun killing all the Stormtroopers.

My brother and I originally made this map for Jedi Outcast about 5 years ago. I tried porting it to JA, but unfortunately there were irreperable bugs so I decided to leave it as a map for JO. I've tried to optimize it as much as possible but because there are so many Stormtroopers some lag is inevitable. However, it WILL clear up after you kill a few of them so don't worry. Turning off shadows will speed it up dramatically.
