  1. Blank Icon Images

The .zip file contains 3 blank versions of the icon images used for the basic models that come with the game. The point of downloading this small file is to give a skin/model a more professional looking edge over other models so it fits in with the standard models easily without looking out of place. There isn't much else to say, if you're looking for a way to make your WIP skin/model look a bit more fitting then this file is for you.

  4. Kalek's Rancor

This is a simple reskin I made, there are two variations. One that is simply the regular rancor spikes and horns, and the other with different skin tones. That is the cuddly one. These two rancors both have 5000 health, so they are tougher than the normal one, (Half the health of the mutant) and in terms of scale between the mutant and normal, they should fall right in between.

  5. Missing NPC's

These are four Non Player Characters (NPC's) that were originally released with single-player Jedi Outcast (JKII). Although the NPC's themselves were included in Jedi Academy as well, the textures and a few other files were omitted, since none of these NPC's were actually used in the game. This file makes them available for everybody to use.

    The NPC's are:
    glider
    mark1
    mark2
    minemonster

The glider is a flying reptile native to Yavin IV. It looks like a cross between a pterodactyl and a heron. When you spawn it, it will be "asleep." The easiest way to wake it up is to spawn a jawa nearby and walk in front of it. This works well for droids as well. The glider doesn't move very quickly, but it will follow you if you were the first person it saw when it woke up. Otherwise it's harmless. RavenSoft didn't make any sounds for the glider.

For a more dynamic glider, check out my Glider Vehicle pk3. It uses the pekopeko and shakk sounds.

The mark1 is a large, heavily-armed attack droid. It'll attack as soon as it sees you.

The mark2 is a small droid that sort of sits there whirring about as if deciding what to do next. So far as I've seen, it's harmless.

Minemonsters, or "shrugs" as we've been calling them on the server for ages, are nasty little creatures from the crystal mines of Artus Prime. They're surprisingly fast and vicious, and a swarm of them can cause serious injuries in a short time. Thankfully, they're not very smart.

  6. NPC Droid Pack

This pack contains thirty-six Droid NPC's that you can spawn and play with in Jedi Academy MP. They behave exactly like the base Jedi Academy astromechs. To make them follow you, spawn a Jawa and walk in front of it so that you're the first player that the Jawa sees.

Their reactions are a bit delayed; as long as you're far enough away, they'll travel at random intervals toward the point where you were when they decided to move. As you move around, they'll choose new places to go. After each movement phase, they'll orient themselves to your current position, as long as you're nearby.

The pack also contains three NPC Droid Vehicles, which allow you to jump in and drive around as a droid. They feature realistic droid speed, designed to match default player walking speed, and turbo that briefly allows you to move at the same speed as a running player.

If you've previously downloaded the (JAWA) Temple map, you probably don't need this pack. All of the NPC's and vehicles were included as part of that map. But if you don't have that map, or you need to uninstall it, this stand-alone pack will let you use the droids.

One more, a balance wasn't appropriate with multi-player.
    Therefore, some are being adjusted.

  10. X-Men Iceman's Power Effects

    Author
    HOUOU

    Iceman is a favorite character.
However, I hardly see overseas comics being sold. Therefore I have never read these comics.
Because I like overseas comics very much, if there is an opportunity, I want to read them by all means.

These effects are lightning force effects which reproduced the skill of Iceman of X-MEN.
These change effects of force lightning. (It is overwritten.)

Though some lightning sounds is changed, hiteffect aren't changed. (Sound doesn't change only "energy_crackle".)
It is because it probably influences other effect (and sound).

An attack range, the force power are unchanged.
Then, force icon was changed to the new icon.

    --File explanation--

    icepower
This is attacked with the cold.
It is the ability which Iceman of the movie uses.
Then, I added a change to effect a little.

    icebeam
    A ray is fired.
This is one of the attack skill of Iceman of fighting game. (MERVEL vs. CAPCOM series)
It is called "Ice Beam", and it is his main skill.

    ice_arcticattack
The fragment of the innumerable ice is splashed.
It is from the game in the same way. This is super attack of Iceman.
    (It is called "Arctic Attack".)

  12. Star Wars - Project: Nexus HUD

his is the Heads-Up-Display for the WIP single-player total conversion, Star Wars - Project: Nexus. I have decided to release this ahead of the mod release after it received considerable interest from some promo screenshots, since that's the sort of kindly person I am!

This is only the HUD, it does not include any other mod content including the new menus and datapad (Not that the datapad would be of any use in Base JKA anyway)

This file and it's contents are NOT to be used in any other public release without explicit permission. If you wish to use this file in a publicly released mod, you can contact me at the email address above.

  15. Reddot X Air

    Features:

    - 9 new crosshair
    - SP and MP compatible

    Notes:

The crosshairs are less tranparent with no shaded area.
They are in pair: one with the red dot, the other with
    a white dot.

This mini-mod also work on Jedi Outcast, except that
one of the crosshair got the ''missing texture'' texture.

    History:

I found the original crosshair too dim and anoying,
so I make those for my own use. Well, I guess they will
please someone else, so here they are...

  19. KOTOR Stances

    Release date: June 2008

This mod replaces different stances and animations in JA. This is version 2.0. Theres only a few changes. It will edit the following:
Normal standing animation replaced with the normal standing animation from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Medium saber stance replaced with the normal saber stance from KOTOR. Just a 1 frame stance so far. Might continue with the full animation some other time in another version.
Fast saber stance replaced with the stance Darth Revan uses when Bastila and other Jedi encounter him.
Strong saber stance replaced with Darth Malak's saber stance.
Dual sabers stance replaced to the one used in KOTOR.
Staff saber stance replaced with the staff stance in KOTOR
Choke/Grip animation replaced with a stance similar to the one in KOTOR. Not totally accurate but close.
Running with saber replaced with the normal running animation.
Running with dual saber replace with the normal running animation also. I thought that the defualt animation looked terrible. Like the player was shaking their hips back and forth. Looks a lot better even thought saber blade hits the ground sometimes.

  24. Throwable Stuff

    Author
    Jose Carlos

Remember how Yoda ripped the X-Wing out of the swamp in ESB? Ever wanted to follow his lead? Well, now you can! This pack here contains a collection of (mainly) baseJA map objects that have been tampered with and can now be gripped, pushed, pulled and generally used to smack others around. Great fun, I assure you.

Now, this pack is a whole lot more fun in SP, where you can just flip out, give yourself a godly reserve of Force power and go wild. Unfortunately the MP portion of the game won't allow you to use two force powers at the same time (like grip and push, which is pretty much what this pack relies on), but they're still fun in online bouts. For extra enjoyment use a cheat to set the game's knockback level higher (g_knockback 4000 should be adequate, although 10000 and up is made of awesome) and take full advantage of your ability to push a half-ton crate into some poor shmuck's nose.

In closing, I would like to paraphrase a few lines from Conan the Barbarian. What is good about the Force? You can use it to crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women.

ALSO INCLUDED IS THE ASSETS, TO MAKE YOUR OWN THROWABLE STUFF (assets.zip)

The basic resources needed to make stuff awesome. Or, in other words, to make random stuff susceptible to Force powers. The skeleton was made with 3ds Max 5, so unfortunately only Max users can make stuff awesome.

    THE MAKING OF THE AWESOMENESS
    ----
Basically the process is the same as compiling a player model.
    1) Make a model
Keep the lowest vert at -24 standard Max units.
    2) Weigh it to the skeleton provided
Rig the model to Bone01, Bone02 is used for the (empty) animation.
    3) Link the mesh to the mesh_root dummy
    4) Export as root.xsi into the "_throwable" folder
    5) Open Assimilate, add _throwable.gla, compile
    6) Create a .npc file
    7) Pack it, test it, bask in your own glory
