  1. Fixed Saber Hilts

This mod fixes the base lightsabers to be a bit higher in the hand but also all equal position from the top hand, so there is no advantage with any certain hilt but also look more natural when held.
If you notice without this mod, all of them are held very low in the hands, some even have the left hand completely off the hilt holding nothing.
All single hilts are affected, including Kyle's, Luke's, Desann's, and the Reborn hilt. Staff hilts are already equal lengths, so are left untouched.
This should work with server side as well, so if you want to make sure all players using base sabers are evenly matched no matter the saber chosen, this is the way to go aside from forcing the same saber for everyone.
*DISCLAIMER* This is not a scientific or exact measurement. If you zoom in and compare down to the smallest unit they may be different by one or two units. If you are worried from losing to a saber hit by 1 or 2 units, don't use this mod or make your own.
This will not work with mods that replace the hilts, like Plasma's saber pack or Rooxon's HD sabers. These may override those but their versions won't have these changes.

  2. Ingame Character and Saber Menu

This mod gives you the freedom of changing your player character and lightsaber anytime in single player. I've added dual and staff. I've added red saber color.

Open up the console and type:
    bind o uimenu ingamecharactermenu
Replace "o" with the key you want to press to bring the menu up. I made mine O just as an example.

Of course there are some issues, like rocking the staff saber and single saber together to make a dual stance. It screws up the animations.

  3. Prequel Conversion Mod

Pair with my Prequel Music Replacement for BEST results!

The Prequel Conversion mod will do exactly that: convert the Single Player campaign story and experience into that of the prequel Star Wars movies (Episodes I, II, and III). This includes replacing various characters to those in the movies. A list will be given below to reveal what is replaced:

    Characters:

    - Trade Federation Battledroids (with corresponding rank colors):Stormtroopers, Imperials, Snowtroopers
    - Super Battledroids: Imperials, Rocket Troopers, Stormtrooper Commander, Saboteur
    - Droidekas: Hazardtroopers, Assassin Droids
    - Maganaguards with Electrostaff: Cultists
    - Jango Fett: Boba Fett
    - Nute Gunray: Racto (the guy on Coruscant who's making illegal droids)
    - Wat Tambor: Rax (the fat Imperial who chases Jaden for sport)
    - Clone troopers (Mark II): Rebel, Wedge

    Weapons:

    - E-5 Blaster Rifle (Battledroid blaster): E-11 Blaster Rifle (Stormtrooper blaster)
    - KiSteer 1284 sniper rifle (Zam Wessel's rifle): Tenloss Projectile Sniper Rifle
    - DC-15A Repeating Blaster (Clone Assault Blaster): Imperial Repeater

    Vehicles:

    - Hailfire droid: AT-ST
    - Republic Gunship/ARC-170 Starfighter: X-Wing (Cinematic/Vehicle)
    - Jedi Starfighter (Mark II): Z-95
    - Vulture Droid Starfighter: TIE Fighter
    - Trifighter/Soulless One (Grievous' Starfighter): TIE Bomber

    Effects:

    - Blaster pistol: from yellow to red
    - Repeater: from yellow and round to blue and normal looking
    - Turrets: yellow to red

    Voices:

    - Nute Gunray has a brand new voice, thanks to a friend who is an excellent voice actor.
    - Wat Tambor has Rax's voice but with effects to make it sound more like his.
    - Dialogue from Jaden is changed to say Jango in instead of Boba
    - Stormtrooper conversations are changed to droid conversations. I had to think, "What would droids talk about?"
    - Cultist conversations with each other and with Alora are now more "magnaguard" sounding. I did the best I could.
    - Rebel/Wedge dialogue is filtered to sound like it's from a Clone trooper helmet.
    - Dialogue that mentions the Empire or Stormtroopers has either been changed to say droids or just removed with context in tact

    Misc:

    - Levelshots updated to reflect various changes (mostly the vehicles)
    - All subtitles and menus edited to remove all mention of Imperial/Empire/Stormtroopers and to reflect dialogue changes
    - Menus and HUD changed to reflect new weapons.
    - The Super Battledroid uses it's own animations thanks to the MBII team. It also uses the old bryar slot that isn't used in JA.
    - All scripting issues were resolved all thanks to therfiles at JKHub. He was oh so very helpful.

    Comments:

This is a quite large mod that I started quite a long time ago with the original release of my "Battledroid SP" mod. I took a long break from modding and returned to work on this mod. It is not quite finished, as it will become a slightly larger mod. This is only version 1. Version 2 might come before I merge this into something slightly bigger eventually. The majority of the content in this mod is not mine at all. I merely combined a lot of pre-existing material from other authors to make this. That made it easier and definitely better, as my work would not be anywhere near as good, but I still worked really hard on this in all other ways. FOR BEST RESULTS: Play with maximum dismemberment. An autoexec.cfg is included with the necessary settings for this. It's the only way to do it in JA SP.

    Bugs:

    - Most are unavoidable unfortunately, but aren't really major.
    - The Droidekas use the emplaced gun effects, so when using a turret, it will sound like the Droideka gun sounds.
    - The plot still doesn't make sense, due to the main characters like Luke and Kyle still being involved. Obviously this doesn't make sense canonically and historically. The next version will fix this. There is no interference with Multiplayer as far as I can tell. I don't play it, so let me know if there are any issues.

    Future version:

I hope to continue this project even further, replacing the main characters as best as I can, complete with voices to match the characters. My plan is to replace Luke with Mace Windu, Kyle with Obi-Wan, and Alora with Grievous. I might replace Tavion with Dooku, but I'm not sure yet. Other details will be revealed and discussed on JKHub.

    Credits:

    - Prophet and Major Clod for the Battledroid model. It's so old, yet it's the best model of a battledroid. Good times!
    - Movie Battles II team - TK231 for his effects (Blue blaster, droideka, etc) - Duncan_10158 for the Droideka and Hailfire -
and whoever was the author of the SBD and it's skeleton/animations - the E-5 blaster -
    - Pahricida for the DC-15A rifle
    - Manquesa for the Jedi Starfighter model
    - Majin Revan/Hatrus for the Droid Starfighter/Vulture droid
    - Inyri for the Trifighter model
    - Minilogoguy18 for the ARC-170 star fighter
    - Mars Marshall for the Gunship, Magnaguard, Jango Fett, Clone trooper, and Zam rifle models
    - Kurtis 'KMan' Smith/Psyk0Sith for the Wat Tambor model
    - Wytchking/Wector for the Nute Gunray model
    - therfiles for his butt-saving help with scripting fixes and being helpful with suggestions and testing
    - Everyone at JKHub that is being helpful with suggestions and help with my endless thread making in the assistance forum

    Installation:

Windows: Put the pk3 in your base folder found in Program Files/Lucasarts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/Gametdata/base/

Mac: Either in the app base folder (right click, show contents), or in user/library/containers/com.aspyr.jediacademy.appstore/data/library/application support/jedi academy/base

The autoexec.cfg goes in the base folder as well.

  4. High Quality Chat Icon

This is a mod that updates the chat icon in multiplayer to be of higher quality and animated. I was tired of seeing a really ugly pixelated one, and it was about time for an update. I used Ruxith and SiLink's animation shader for the animated dots. All credit goes to them.

  5. Rosh the Rodian

This is a single player mod that completely changes Rosh to be a Rodian. His model is now a Rodian but with Rosh's body. His outfit was recolored to better blend with his new skin color. All of Rosh's dialogue was changed to Rodian dialogue from KOTOR. A couple other minimal changes.

Make sure you have subtitles on for all dialogue. To do that, open the console (SHIFT + ~) and type /g_subtitles 1

If you hate Rosh, this actually drastically makes him more pleasant of a character. His voice is different. His image is different. Your eyes and ears will no longer bleed because he's on the screen!

    -===- Known Bugs -===-

Some dialogue might slightly be too long or too short. None should be too drastic. If anything, it'll show that Kyle and Jaden are tired of hearing Rosh open his mouth.

  6. Luke Skywalker - Jedi Master

This is my depiction of Luke in Jedi Master robes. There have been a lot of requests floating around over the years asking for this, and it was done with the default JA model, but using the Toshi model would be a much better and accurate choice. This one isn't perfect, but I think it turned out pretty good.

    To use in SP:

    npc spawn master_luke
    npc spawn master_luke_robe
    npc spawn master_luke_hood

    Credits:

Toshi for the model and original textures. Khaliban for the hilt.

  7. Lando Calrissian

This contains 2 new additions to the default Lando model, giving him the appearance from Episode 5 and 6, with his capes included. I made this over 2 years ago now and kept forgetting to release it. It was for the Star Wars Saga mod.

For MP, the skins replace the team color skins. So the ESB skin is team blue, ROTJ is red.

    /model lando/red
    /model lando/blue

For SP, there is NPC support:

    /playermodel lando_esb
    /playermodel lando_rotj

    Or to spawn him:

    /npc spawn lando_esb
    /npc spawn lando_rotj

  8. Santa Claus

    Description
This is a (very) simple reskin of the Porkins model from MB2 and Kyle head to give the appearance of Santa Claus. Comes with team colors, NPC support, and a candy cane saber made by LuckMoonBoy1, from JK2Files.

This was made for Omicron, for Secret Santa 2014. He allowed me to upload it for the rest of ya'll to use.

    Known Bugs
Lots of clipping and a missing part of the mesh of the left shoulder.

    Comments
I didn't make any of the parts of the model, I merely put them together in Blender. The body is Porkins from MB2 (not sure the author), head is Kyle, and the hat is from MonGo's Santa model. The textures are mostly made from scratch and the original JKA textures. Was a quick job, as you can see.

  9. Naboo Plaza

This is small duel map set in a courtyard in the Naboo capital city of Theed. There is a button on the middle balcony to reveal a duel platform, surrounded by a pit, to keep the duels interesting. There is room on the sides to use this map in FFA mode as well.
Bug: There is a timer on the button, which means you can't push it over and over, to avoid people spamming while other are dueling on the platform. So if the button doesn't work right after you use it, wait about 10 seconds.
This was a map made for a specific king of the hill type of event in my clan. The premise is everyone lines up by the main door in a single file line and the two people in the front of the line duel on the platform. First person to get cut by a saber must go back to the line, and the next person enters to challenge the survivor. Last person standing wins. Feel free to use this idea on your own servers.
Check out the Christmas version here!

  10. The Ladder - Jedi Academy Version

The Ladder level is a Single Player map that features a "wave" system. After killing the first enemy, two appear. Then 3. Then 2 and a boss. So on and so on.
The original Ladder level by JediNight (Mike Gummelt, original Raven dev) that was made for Jedi Outcast.
I take no credit for any of this idea, map, or scripts. I merely included the necessary textures and files needed from Jedi Outcast and a few other fixes to make it more compatible with Jedi Academy.
Installation ad usage: put PK3 file in the Jedi Acadmy/Gamedata/base folder, and in the game, open the console with SHIFT + ~ and type /map ladder

  11. Greedo

This is a reskin of the default JA Rodian model to make it look like Greedo from A New Hope. It's a simple reskin really. The model is already based off of Greedo, they only changed some minor things like colors. I couldn't change the shoes, as those are the main inaccuracy, but this is pretty close without remodeling.

I included an enemy NPC as well.

    npc spawn greedo

I don't think there are any Greedo skins (none that I could find), most people use the default JA model for that, so I figured I would whip one up that made it a little more accurate.

  12. FFA3 Yavin Edition

This is an entity mod that changes FFA3 (Tatooine City) into a Yavin temple theme, as well as included bonus rooms that teleport you to other maps from the game as little (or big) duel rooms or just to hang out in private. These teleports are not shown with any flashy glowing orbs or anything like some entity mods, so if you don't want to bother with them, nothing will effect the FFA3 experience. Version 2.0 didn't have any indicators of doors, whereas 2.1 now has the red glowing particle effect on each door, indicating you can use them. If you see any door in the core FFA3 area, it will probably lead somewhere else, and then the door you came out of will lead back to that door. You need to press the Use key (default R) to enter the doors.
This is strictly an entity mod, which means you can upload it to a server and nobody will need to download a pk3 to see the changes. All entities and textures are from the vanilla assets. However, if you want to have an accurate levelshot when loading in, you can put it in your local base folder too if you'd like.
The botroutes and spawns have also been redone. Spawns are now in the center area around the dropship, making it easier to get to the traditional FFA spot that most people hang out in, rather than spawning far away like default. Botroutes are now more basic to reduce the risk of them getting stuck in the hangar and the dropship as easily like in vanilla.
Door 1: The main large door by the main FFA area will lead to academy4, the large academy hall from SP that Luke and the students normally are in. All NPCs removed, it's a large area for fighting or conducting ceremonies or classes.
Door 2: The small door outside of the hangar door, the upper part of the ramp will lead to duel6, the giant Yavin courtyard duel map. Use the optional pk3 to remove this map and restore duel6 to its original form. (see changelog)
Door 3: The door behind the brown dropship, down the hallway on the right will lead to t1_inter, the small room from SP where Jaden and Rosh talk shit behind Kyle's back. Good for 1v1 duels or private conversations.
Door 4: The door behind the bar will lead to duel10, the small Vjun power station room. More of a bonus room, as it's kind of a terrible duel room. But it fits the "back of the bar" feel decently well I suppose.
    -========================================-
If you want to check this map out online, my server ( .!¡!. BASE OASIS ) will always have it. I did this for that server as one of our main "clan maps" that was a cool way to impress new players without requiring them to download a new map. You can reach our server at /connect base.jka.io
    -========================================-

    -==========-
    -!|!-  NOTE  -!|!-
    -==========-
There is currently no way to set your respawn point in these rooms, so you will have to travel back to the room from the main spawn room every time. With the new spawns that's not nearly as much of a chore as before, but still kind of annoying.
    -================-
    -!|!-  KNOWN BUGS  -!|!-
    -================-
The lighting had to be overcompensated for the use of the teleport areas, so character models might look slightly too bright, but the alternative is to be super dark so I think this was a better solution. Certain sounds may be missing in the teleport rooms like footsteps. Since they are mostly small and for dueling 1v1, this isn't much of a problem. Footsteps are fine in the main FFA3 area. Looking at the sky from the bonus maps will show the FFA3 area in the skybox. This is a limitation of using this method, nothing can be done, but the bright side is none of the bonus maps show it without you purposefully going to the windows and looking down. Duel6 (yavin duel) is missing many of the entities around the map like the breakable pillars and trees. This also will affect using the map outside of FFA3 unfortunately. I may attempt to fix this in future versions. Use the optional pk3 that removes duel6 so you can still use that map normally. -============-
    -!|!-  CREDITS  -!|!-
    -============-
All credit to Sword (aka @unsword ) to their first version doing the hard part, I merely built upon it and changed things to how I preferred them for my server.
    -=================-
    -!|!-  INSTALLATION  -!|!-

  14. HQ Levelshots for JK2

This mod replaces all of the levelshots in JK2 with identical, higher quality ones. The default levelshots were borderline puke-inducing quality for tiny screens. In this day in age, we have huge monitors with huge resolutions. These I made still aren't the best quality, but at least now you can tell what is in the pictures.

  15. KOTOR Stances

    Release date: June 2008

This mod replaces different stances and animations in JA. This is version 2.0. Theres only a few changes. It will edit the following:
Normal standing animation replaced with the normal standing animation from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Medium saber stance replaced with the normal saber stance from KOTOR. Just a 1 frame stance so far. Might continue with the full animation some other time in another version.
Fast saber stance replaced with the stance Darth Revan uses when Bastila and other Jedi encounter him.
Strong saber stance replaced with Darth Malak's saber stance.
Dual sabers stance replaced to the one used in KOTOR.
Staff saber stance replaced with the staff stance in KOTOR
Choke/Grip animation replaced with a stance similar to the one in KOTOR. Not totally accurate but close.
Running with saber replaced with the normal running animation.
Running with dual saber replace with the normal running animation also. I thought that the defualt animation looked terrible. Like the player was shaking their hips back and forth. Looks a lot better even thought saber blade hits the ground sometimes.

  16. Circa's Menu Mod

This is a mod that aims to freshen and soften the main menus of both SP and MP of Jedi Academy. I always felt like the sounds and music for the menu were extremely harsh. Especially if you're playing late at night, you fire up JKA and click Play--BEEP! Ow. Click Join Serv--BEEP!
New sounds add a more subtle feel to your menu experience.
Music track for MP switched with the Yavin Temple explore music from JK2. Very peaceful feel, reminds me of the Jedi Academy map.
Same music track added to the SP menu (previously no music played)
Server list now shows more servers at a time, making the font smaller. Before it was huge and only showed around 10 at a time.
New video plays in the main menu, just to give it something new.
Server info window is now grey, so it's easier to see black names
Hopefully more changes will happen later. This is the first release.

    Video demo:

This was a mod I've had in my base for years but never shared it. Decided to work on it a bit more and release it. It's hard NOT to use it now.

Also, keep in mind this won't work with other main menu mods, for the most part, if they edit the actual menu.

  18. Tatooine Sky

This mod changes the desert skybox to look more like Tatooine, complete with two suns and a vast dune sea. The default one looks pretty bad, so this hopefully improves it a little. If you’re a stickler for detail of Star Wars canon, this mod is for you.

Originally made this as a request to add a second star to the sky but decided to improve the entire skybox and release it publicly.

    Important note:

The Desert skybox is used by other maps, so it’ll change those as well. One major one is t1_danger in single player. So it might look bad on there, but if you’re a MP player, it shouldn’t be a big deal.

  19. Test Maps

This is yet another simple mod, requested by Penekowski. There are 3 very small maps, with one color for the whole room, making it easy to take screenshot to use in icon creating or other media. Or maybe just to test a skin out. There is a green, white, and grey map.

To get to the maps, choose one below:

    /map test_white
    /map test_grey
    /map test_green

The maps are bright, and the shaders used don't reflect light, to my knowledge. That's why you can run into a wall without realizing it.

Shout out to Penekowski for the idea

  20. Circa's Darth Revan

This is a concept version of Darth Revan that I came up with years ago. Revan is one of my favorite Star Wars characters (pre-SWTOR) and loved the way he looked in the KOTOR cinematics, but when you see his ingame model, he looks very strange to me. I remember first playing KOTOR as a kid and thinking this was more how he would have looked like. No dress, simpler armor, etc.
It has SP menu support, NPC support (npc spawn revan_c), basic team support.

  21. Water Wake Shader MP Fix

This mod fixes the broken water wake shader in multiplayer, when the player or NPC is standing in water. Normally the shader works in vanilla SP but not in MP, but this will make it work in both. A GIF and video are included to show the difference. Before it was just a static image which looked quite bad.

I actually made this back in 2016 but completely forgot to release it.
The file has to be loaded first, even before the assets, so do not rename it. This is why it has a 0 in the name. In addition, the shader itself can't be renamed either.

  22. BaseJKA+ Server

baseJKA+ (or basejkaplus) is basically just OpenJK but with a few little features that I really wanted for my server. I wanted to have a basejka server with OpenJK's bug fixes and security, but also a few extra things that the OpenJK devs didn't think were fit to include in the master repository. Nothing changes the gameplay, these are just nice little features for a server to have, if you're not using a mod like JA+ or something.
Linux and Windows dedicated server only, no client needed.
This is what my old -=- SHADOW ORDER server ran, and still does today (now the JKHub server).
Here's a list of all the features thus far:
---- 1.00 ---- • All taunts are available in all game modes (meditate, gloat, flourish, etc) • Private duels now start with full health and shield, and can be changed via new cvars (g_duelStartHealth and g_duelStartArmor) - default is 100/25 • Results of a private duel are displayed to all, with the remaining health of the winning player ---- 1.01 ---- • Added a cvar to toggle idle animations (personal annoyance of mine) - g_useIdleAnims 0 ---- 1.02 ---- • restored the ability to use map glitches via dmflags 520 ---- 1.03 - April 7, 2017 ---- • Cheats are now toggled via rcon, enabling the use for anyone on the server - /rcon sv_cheats 1 ---- 1.04 - September 16, 2023 ---- • Windows dedicated support • Project rename to basejkaplus • Merged changes from master OpenJK since last release
All features of the master OpenJK repo are included in this as of this writing. If you want to compile the latest version of this and the most recent OpenJK commits, I will try my best to keep it fairly in sync with it.

If you want to test it out first, the JKHub server is currently running it: /connect jk3.in

Big shoutout to Smoo, Xycaleth and Raz0r for helping me with basically all of this. I had the features but they showed me how to get it done.
    -===- INSTALLATION -===-
If you are running an OpenJK server (recommended), put the .so file in the base folder of your server, and run the new openjkded file like you normally would. If its a basejka server, same thing but run the new openjkded file instead of jampded file you used to.

  23. Luke Skywalker - A New Hope

    Description:

This is a reskin of DT's ESB Luke model to make it look like Luke from A New Hope. This is version 2.1, as version 1 was made with Toshi's ROTJ model. I kept the poncho version that used Toshi's model because I know a lot of people liked that version. It also comes with a hilt. The original skin for the body was an old one made by Al McDonald. I edited it a little and made sure it looked good on this model.

It has team support and NPC support

    npc spawn luke_anh
    npc spawn luke_poncho
    playermodel luke_anh
    playermodel luke_poncho
    saber lukeE4

    Credits:

DT85 for the model. Toshi for the original head model and textures. Raven for the original body model. Al McDonald for the original body textures.

  24. Last Night

This is a Halloween-themed map, created for the JKHub Halloween Contest 2016. It's very much incomplete. I didn't have time to spend too much time on it. There are some little secrets that you can find. The Use key is your friend (or enemy).

I may actually finish it later on. This does have everything it needs to be playable, and is available for FFA, TFFA, Duel, and Power Duel. It also has bot routes.

Lots. Trees can be walked through. Probably some brush glitches here and there. Skybox is crap. Lots to fix.

Much love and thanks to Rooxon for creating all the cool models you see in the map, like the pumpkin, shovel, pickaxe, etc. I think his items turned out better than the map itself.

  25. Bot Chat Removal

This mod removes all of the chat lines from bots. No more annoying and cheesy lines when you kill bots or when they get kills. I found it extremely annoying when playing with people and bots and it was extra work to differentiate between real people and bots. This removes that annoyance.

This will not work with any custom bots that you have in your base folder. This only works with the default bots that come with the game.

I know it's an extremely simple mod but it hadn't been done for JA yet and I've had this made for a long time for myself. I decided to share it.
