About This File

So here is version 2 of the first mod I made 3 years ago.

This mod gives you the freedom of changing your player character and lightsaber anytime in single player. I've added dual and staff. I've added red saber color.

How to get it working? Bind keys. If you dont know how, open up the console and type:

bind uimenu ingamecharactermenu

Replace with the key you want to press to bring the menu up. I made mine backspace.

Of course there's some issues, like rocking the staff saber and single saber together to make a dual stance. It screws up the animations.

Nice mod, I do like :-)

But I've a problem. I have a character with a staff. Now when I change the saber with your mod to single and switch through the different styles, it gets stuck at blue. As soon as I switch to blue style I can switch to the other styles anymore.

That's an issue with the game. When you have all styles, it gets stuck. The only way to avoid this is to make sure the style you choose at the saber menu is medium. If you only want the 3 main ones, you have to use the command "setsaberstyle 1 setsaberstyle 2 setsaberstyle 3"

If you downloaded and use Jedi Academy: Enhanced, this mod won't work (unless it's just me or somebody's already come up with a solution, in which case please tell me!), so if anyone knows a console command that opens the menu I'd appreciate if they'd let me know.

I was looking in the .pak3 of this because I want to get it to work with custom hilts, if I were to just rename the saber.menu file that would enable all hilts on a new game to ingamesaber.menu in this .pak3 file it'd probably work wouldn't it? I was looking through it and I didn't see anything that really sets it apart from the standard one, other than the selectable fight styles maybe.

It works perfect! :D but there's a problem. i have a hitl pack with the classics lightsabers (luke, obi wan, vader. etc), and those don't appear on the saber menu. It adds some new hilts, but it doesn't allow me to select the ones from that pack. How can i fix that?

Having a problem with the mod, ive done everything correctly with install and key binding, except it wont register that the ingame menu is there it comes up with a message along the lines of Ingame character menu unavailable or something i cant remember, either way its not working for me, i would love for this to be able to work tho it sounds like an awesome mod, if anyone can help it would be very appreciated :)

You put the pk3 in your base folder, right? You could also try added a few zzzzz's to the beginning of the file name so it would be zzzzzzIngameBlaBLabLa.pk3

Actually, it's these.

'setsaberstyle fast' 'setsaberstyle medium' 'setsaberstyle dual' 'setsaberstyle desann' 'setsaberstyle strong'
