Now you're getting there! As with your Qui-Gon, there appears to be a bit of an exposed seam at the neck, and the tunic still needs a little work, but the rest is definitely an improvement! In your defense, the face isn't too far off from many of the face McGregor himself made throughout the movie, so I certainly have no issue with it. (Ex: http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/galleries/2012/Review_ObiWanKenobiEILC/Review_ObiWanKenobiEILC_stillD.jpg http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/galleries/2011/Review_ObiWanKenobiEITSC/Review_ObiWanKenobiEITSC_stillA.JPG) Overall, a solid improvement!

This is definitely a good effort, and your work is definitely showing improvement! There does appear to be a bit of an exposed seam on his neck, and the boots look a little off. The tunic also looks a little plain considering this is suppose to be a realism model. Now, normally playermodels trying to be "realistic" suffer from what I like to call "Uncanny Valley Syndrome" - meaning the character almost looks real, but your brain subconsciously picks up on the illusion - making it a bit off-putting. Here, however, it doesn't bother me that much. I can't put my finger on what it is, but you did manage to find a good balance - so well done! Overall, you get a solid 8/10 from me! You continue to show talent and improvement with each release, and should be proud of your work!

This is a good start, though I think it could use a little more work. The model's face is a bit off in some areas - especially around the nose, and the skin itself suffers from a problem most "hyper-realistic" re-skins have: Uncanny Valley Syndrome. The robes and belt are also a bit plain, but nothing a quick touch up and a few shaders couldn't fix. That said - the body is really well proportioned/balanced, and overall well done - plus the boots are spot-on too! The hair looks great too, and is actually almost perfect - something I feel a lot of other Episode 1 Obi-Wan Kenobi models and skins struggle with for some reason. It's actually rather impressive you captured it so well! The use of a more serious facial expression makes him seem more neutral than grumpy to me (which is appropriate - given that Ewan McGregor spent most of the movie either stoic, confused or scowling,) so I think it was actually a good choice that (apart from the issues mentioned before about the Uncanny Valley) paid off nicely. To sum it up: I suggest you touch up the model's head a bit more, and tone down the realism in the face just a tad. Do a little more texture work on the robes and belt, and add some mild shaders to the boots, belt and skin textures for the hands and face. For your effort, I'll give it a reasonable 6.5/10. Not at all terrible, but I think you can do even better if you continue to work at it! You have some serious potential, and I really do look forward to seeing more! (Side note: I do hope you find this review helpful. I'm not trying to be harsh, or seem overly-critical or anything, and if it came across that way at any point I apologize. Just trying to offer an honest critique, with constructive criticism and feedback is all.)

I haven't seen many reskins for the default r2d2 (not including reskins used to create other Astromechs,) and the Raven/LucasArts version was starting to look a little dated. I released a similar skin with my 'Unofficial Update' mod, but wanted to go a step further - including better shaders, and animated glow effects. I used clips from the movies (both from video and YouTube,) Google images, and even a prior encounter with the original costume/prop as references when working on the textures - in an effort to be as faithful to R2's various on-screen appearances as possible. I also included the sounds from my prior release with this one. Just a heads-up: this reskin does replace the original Ravensoft textures (in case you're a fan of the default skin.)- 2 comments

Just a thought: has anyone made a Dagobah map? It's a classic location, and has great potential for FFA/RP/Duel elements!
