I think the board ditched your answer, Ping. Just know it wasn't me...

I accidentally removed it. It said that I know what you are talking about but that I haven't had the chance to watch the reviews and that I might do so at some point.

And no, it's not because I'm a raving fan that I know this. Not one bit. :P

Skyrim - It felt like more of a dating sim than an actual RPG.

Mass Effect 3 - For the obvious reason, and that it seemed more geared towards the multiplayer than your character's story. (the reason you went back and played the other 2)

Hitman: Absolution - Seemed like a total step back from Blood Money. (I'm hoping the new game will change that)

Hmm... I see your point. Although, writing for video game games has been overall in improvement over the last decade. Big studios are starting to realise that a good story can separate a good game from a bad one just as much as a good gameplay. I think JKA is actually one of the last examples where very little mind has been paid to the story/script. With sequels there is always the temptation to go for less effort, more jazz, and more money, but overall big bugdet (and indie) games are much m...

...more story-focused these days. Perhaps that's why we tend to pick out a bad story more easily.

I'm pretty sure all of us would like for this to just be some sort of twisted and sadistic stealth marketing campaign by Disney, and Carrie and her family are alright.

Y-yepp... The reason many people are affected is because her life's work stood for something -- and on that note it *still* stands! That, and we grew up with her portrayed characters, and her work.

My sincere condolences to her family. Her spirit will live on in her family, and in her work, and accomplishments.

Should've always stayed in the family.. Somehow. Even if George was more of a "backroom staff/personnel" type. But it shows that his family members are passionate about he's created and that needs to continue.

      The Walrus did beseech.

To give a hand to each."

"It seems a shame," the Walrus said,

After we've brought them out so far,

And made them trot so quick!"

      The Carpenter said nothing but

      Four other Oysters followed them,

      And yet another four;

And thick and fast they came at last,

And more, and more, and more--

All hopping through the frothy waves,

      And scrambling to the shore.

  9. A Clone Wars fan forever. Nothing compares to it. No sequel films, no Rebels, no Disney content. There's the original saga films and the KOTOR game, and then there's The Clone Wars TV show for me -- that's my Star Wars.

      BelugaArts

I agree to a hundred percent!

I think Clone Wars has a better story than the first, second and even the third movie. It binds it all, peneltrates it all and combines it into one big epic piece of epicness. I heavily recommend it, as Cerez does ;)

    4. JediBantha

      JediBantha

      haha, "penetrate" :D

I've been a fan since the original trilogy, and I agree that Clone Wars series (old and new) was integral to 2 & 3, as both only tell the beginning and the end of the Clone Wars itself. It also, I think, opened up a new world of possibilities with old/new planets, heroes/villains, etc etc. , so I'm a fan of the series myself.

  10. After experiencing the excitement of Star Wars: The Farce Awakens, I look forward to watching Star Wars: The Last Joke, and I wonder what the third installment in the series, Star Wars: Failure Complete, will have in store for us. I also liked Ragtag One - A Star Wars Stooge. Mighty moving story. Real Star Wars. <3

How are you running 3ds Max?

    3. Cerez

      Cerez

@Ping Mac OS X's UI Design used to be fab, and the early releases of Mac OS X were an attractive OS with some great, unique features.

@Ramikad :D *thumbs up* "Suffering" is the right word for it.

@Archangel35757 I'm not. I've switched to Blender. But you can run it using WINE (2008 and 2009 seem to work reasonably well): https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=343 (Or you can dual-boot with Windows, and run it natively.)

    4. Cerez

      Cerez

@Archangel35757 When I rigged Ahsoka using 3DS Max, I was using my Mac, and emulating a Windows XP environment with VirtualBox. When I moved to Debian, I just took the VirtualBox file with me, and now I can run the same environment on the Linux version of VirtualBox. I haven't lost anything in this regard. Running Windows (or any other OS) in an emulated environment is useful if you need a specific setup for a project. It keeps your main desktop/OS clean for your main workflow.

  12. Ahsoka actually appears in the prequel films! (http://jkhub.org/topic/5588-the-ahsoka-fan-thread/?p=95999)

    1. Cerez

      Cerez

No. If anything, on the record they've officially actually denied her to be. But the fact remains that Ashla was the first concept for Ahsoka, and Lucas' recommendation for her character. Since Attack of the Clones was made before The Clone Wars, it makes sense that this would be the first incarnation of her character, and how Lucas saw her at the start (i.e. her film version).

  18. Dear old-school Star Wars fan, you mustn't cry. In case you didn't know, Disney owns the copyright to that emotion, now. Make sure to keep smiling, and pretend that we don't own your world. Oh, and you have to go see our next blockbuster where we put an end to over 20 years of Star Wars legacy! We hope you'll love it as much as we do... old fart! :shifty:
