A few WIP updates today -

Inspired by her recent appearance in Tales of the Underworld, I worked on revamping my old Ventress bounty hunter kitbash. Interestingly, there was already a newer version of that kitbash floating around the Internet, where someone had improved on my original with some nice retextures and some extra meshes (like the energy bow). I have included these in my own revamped version, which includes a modified Dark Disciple hair mesh and some much-needed improvements on the weights (especially in the hip/waist area). I've also upscaled several of the textures for a better overall appearance:



I've also settled on what I think will be the third and final version of Tholme:


And have started work on a pack of Jedi alien variations. I imagine this will be particularly popular with RP players. I started work on a similar pack years ago but I don't think I ever released this. I am making this one again from scratch.

(Note on the robe textures: the release version will just give them standard Hapslash textures, since the ones in the previews are sourced randomly and might include people's personal skins that I don't have permission to distribute):

Just a quick little post here to celebrate Star Wars Day, May the 4th. I know this community is very fragmented in their view of Star Wars these days, but hopefully you guys can look back on the parts you do love about the franchise, with the minimum being the Jedi Knight series!

One great way to celebrate this holiday is to take a long trip back to the very early days of this community and early days of meme videos, and to check out the old "Jedi Knight Re-edited" video series by Eaglestriker. These are truly a product of their time, but are absolute gems. If you have never watched these, luckily 2 people have put in some effort into restoring them, @colonel-the-general submitted to JKHub a couple months back, and more recently @Link posted his restoration to YouTube.

A lot of amazing things done this month! Let's get started!

LUKE'S DARK SIDE ENDING
Over the past month since bringing out the 1st mission in the ending to the team, a few bugs have been reported but we should be able to move on to the next mission. As of the time of writing this, I am presently awaiting the next environment to be created, so I am aiming to focus on other things in the meantime.

DYNAMIC WEAPON SYSTEM
The Dynamic Weapon System has been coded by the super-duper talented Arbiter, and appears to be working wonderfully! With this, we'll be able to add more weapons that function identically to others in the mod.

Arbiter has gone ahead and added the first 3!
- Z-6 Rotary Cannon
- Flamethrower
- Plasma Grenade (inspired by KOTOR)

NEW MENUS
In addition to this, Arbiter also made some new menus for the mod that have been asked for a for a long time! We're bringing in a Cheat Menu, a Force Power customization menu, and Weapon Selection menu!

NEW CHARACTERS
We got a few new characters!

- Gnost-Dural (Old Republic) ported by DarthValeria
- Latts Razzi (Bounty Hunters), ported by Jeff
- Moralo Eval (Separatist Alliance), by ZanderNao

It's been a while. 

Gave in to some nostalgic curiosity and decided to come back to JKA a few days ago. Not sure if I'll be sticking around long-term or not, but I have a couple of small projects I'd like to make a reality, at least.

Back in January we announced a new mod contest: maps built for the Duel gamemode. These maps are typically smaller with a central dueling area. The deadline to submit was 6 weeks later on February 23rd, when then the poll was open to any forum member to vote on which they thought was the best map. Due to a great turnout with the number of submissions, I decided to award the top 3 voted maps with a Gold, Silver, and Bronze award.
