  1. Less Annoying Rosh

    Hello,
     
    I have been away from this game for years but recently got struck by nostalgia and it wasn't before long I felt like making a mod.
    Rosh Penin, the character everyone hates. This mod attempts to make him a bit less of a nuisance.
    I know there are a lot of mods out there that attempt to do the same thing but this one is meant to be a bit more subtle.
     
    This was originally planned to be just a mod for me but it turned out quite well so I thought I might as well share it.
     
    There are three pk3 files included in this mod:

    - Visual Changes:
    the eyesbrows have been made thicker and are now closer together and the shading below the eyebrows has been reduced/changed. the lips were made less red and the contrast with the rest of the skin has been toned down. the irises were redone and I made them a bit larger, which reduces the stupid look on his face. Also the pupils have been made smaller. This helps in giving him a more neutral, less infatuated look. the subtle hint of a mustache he has going on has been widened a bit, to reduce the prepubescent look he has.

    These changes are subtle - he is still Rosh - but they help out a great deal.
     

    - Multiplayer icons have been updated with the new face (and the default jka backgrounds).
     
    - A dark skin has been added, which is now used in the appropriate single player sections.
    the eye pupils were made even smaller and he now has bloodshot eyes. you can now see veins through his skin and the skin has been made paler. the robes have been recolored to represent his fall to the dark side.

    - All Rosh sound have been lowered in pitch.
    Don't worry, I didn't overdo it, he's still Rosh. This to me helped out a lot but if you don't like it, you can leave out the pk3.
    Conversely, if you would just like to have the sounds and prefer another Rosh modification, you can do that too.

    - This pk3 contains a multi player version of the dark skin.
    I put this in a seperate pk3 because with all the awesome models being around nowadays, I fully understand it if you
    don't want Rosh to take up another spot in the menu.

  3. OJP Anniversary - Linux Server & Windows Client

    I wanted to get a working copy for a Linux server and play it on my Windows client, so I went through some hassle to get it to work.
     
    The only apparent thing people might interpret as a "bug" would be a shaking camera, but after asking Razorace, it seems he implemented this for whenever someone has high mishap. He'll probably remove it in the future as he said he noticed not many people liked it.
     
    If you want to remove it, you can download the source on Google Code and navigate to cg_jkehud.c and remove the following (or put it in comment tags):

    This is basically a combination reskin/effects/sound/music/missing files fix/etc. update for the standard game. It comes in something of a "pick and choose" setup, which is intended for convenience.

  7. Alternate Rosh Penin + Extras

    This mod includes two separate pk3s, one which does not overwrite Rosh Penin and one that does. They are both appropriately named "Rosh_Alternate" and "Rosh_Overwrite" to avoid confusion between them. If you ever encounter any bugs of issues, please let me know!

    Rosh_Overwrite.pk3

    Included with the Rosh_Overwrite are a few minor tweaks to the Single Player experience. Firstly, the levelshot for the T1_Inter cutscene has been changed to display Rosh's new appearance. On top of that, Rosh's "dark" NPC file has been adjusted to make him a more formidable foe when you encounter him on Vjun. Another change is the Lightsaber which Rosh uses against you during this encounter. He no longer shares a saber model with the majority of enemies encountered in the game, he uses a backhanded Lightsaber stance and his Lightsabers colour is now blue. Credits to AshuraDX for the TFU2 Lightsaber hilt.
     
    Lastly, several snippets of Rosh's dialogue have been cut entirely. Other pieces have been replaced (along with one or two lines from Kyle and male/female Jaden to match.) I tried to overwrite the subtitles, but that caused weird and wonderful errors, so they've been left untouched. Hopefully, with these changes you'll find Rosh Penin more endurable when playing single player.

  9. Tron Pack Version 2

    This is version two of my Tron Pack. It now has a much better set of skins using the jedi_hm and the jedi_hf models. It has seven colors, but no individual design. The tron disk also come in colors that are the same as the skins. The tron disk functions somewhat as a dagger, and I made the blade a little longer than the model, so you have less of a disadvantage. It only evens out (nearly, and against bots as far as I know) when you have two Disks against one saber.

    If you use the trondisk(for holstering mods).pk3 the disk will float horizontally at the end of the models finger tips.

    The is the Tron disk you see in Tron Legacy and Tron Evolution. The lines themselves are white and don't glow on their own with black as the disks main colour .

  11. Medieval Times: Melee Redux

    After seeing a couple of crusader type skins on JK3Files, and modelling a few model packs on my own, I decided to make a medieval-inspired weapons pack for Jedi Academy. I'm more into swords than lightsabers or guns, so it was right up my alley.
     
    This contains (at last count, which I think should be accurate) 13 weapons, 11 shields, and 4 player skins, all of which are accessibly through the single-player menus. It also contains Slice, Dice & Mince's blood mod (mostly unaltered). It was really that mod, the Melee Mod (http://jediknight2.f...Melee_Mod;20913) that inspired me to make this.
     
    FEATURES:
    13 new weapons
    11 shields
    4 player skins
    Slice, Dice & Mince's awesome blood mod
    Full single-player skin/weapon support
    Different stance animations
    New menus
    New menu video

    Please bare in mind that all shields were designed to work only in dual saber mode, and many of the swords were designed with the same set-up in mind. Shields won't do much damage, and are set to only parry. Many of the swords are designed as one-handed swords, so if you use them alone one hand will float beneath the hilt.
     
    To use any of these as dual, use the following command with the saber names in section III:

  12. JediRemix: EndGame Edition

    The Multiplayer Upgrade to JKII: Dragon Remix Endgame Edition, based off of JediPLUS v3.3 and Saberists Mod. It includes mamy of the sword/meele weapon models released to the community, made as mod-compatible as possible. It can be used either stand-alone or in cunjunction with any JediMod-based game.
     
    There is bot support for the characters in Dragon Remix Endgame Edition so you get to be sliced and diced by the WB's finest. A few but not many have color/CTF support. The Evangelions, Gundams and the Black Widow charachters are 'big'. It includes 2 maps, 4 character models and... uhm... a lot of swords (I lost count).
     
    This pack also provides a few bug-fixes for Endgame Edition, mainly a few missing weapons skins and caps files, also some updated sounds for the explosives.

    JM2.pk3 This is the actual 'code'. Since there are better MP mods out there you can pretty much remove this at will.
    JRMaps.pk3 The Maps, including music.

    Welcome to the Jedi Academy Script! This script is intended for use with the Offical Jedi Academy Mod, version 1.4.

    Installation Steps:
     
    1) Decide which script you will use:
     
    **NOTE** Use only 1, for there are contradicting items.
     
    -JAC_script_14.zip = rcon commands and normal functions.
    -JAT_script_14.zip = "am level" admin commands and normal functions.
    -JAK_script_14.zip = "jk level" admin commands and normal functions.
    -JAS_script_14.zip = normal functions.
     
    2) Extract all files out of the the selected script .zip file to the base folder.
     
    3) Open the file ja_defaults.cfg in Notepad. Make sure you set up EVERY KEY to your personal default settings.(ja_defaults.cfg is activated using the DEL key, I suggest you dont edit that. )
     
    4) Next, edit the ja_info.cfg, again in Notepad, with your name.
     
    **NOTE** Readme's are different for each script, be sure to read them!!
     
    Running the Script:
     
    1) When you log into the server, type \exec autoexec.cfg in the console.
     
    2) Hit the DEL(delete) key and that will load the script.
     
    3) Use the default keys for the menues (see specific script for details)
     
    4) Some of the functions of the script are loaded silently. These functions are:
     
    Chat Selector
    Saber Color Changer
    Emote Selector
    Music Changer

    Chat Selector:
     
    Binds the U key to toggle through chat mode, Y key to select and start the chat mode.

  14. Blade Mod Promo

    This is a Beta MOD to promote interest for the upcoming Total Conversion called Blade: Knight of Dracul. It is based on an updated Dragon Remix MOD to show what can be assembled in a small amount of time. It has been assembled from existing Jedi Outcast Mods to show what is possible with JKII and to prove that we are serious in building a kick-ass Mod.
     
    This Mod WILL effect the SP game as well, knock yourself out with the weapon effects.
     
    The Blade Mod still needs members, but so does every other Mod out there. This second demo is only partialy made form out original meterial but we felt we needed something to pitch the idea of a vampire-slaying mod.
     
    Currently we are seeking Mappers and Modelers. Although all skills are welcome (I don't see a problem with having 15 skiners) those two sets are proirity to get the Single Player going.
     
    - Red and Blue sword styles are now Desann's and Tavion's respectively
    - Sparks and smoke replaced by blood. Stumps are dark red rather than yellow.
    - Better acrobatics: Cartwheel and Butterfly Kick relaces the rolls. Jump is 'Force Jump' style and 'Force Getup'.
    - Every one of the weapons leaves the cool glowing mark that the disruptor usually leaves.
    - Force Lightning replaced with a UV effect.
    - The visual effects of all of the weapons have been altered in some way.

  15. Nerevar's Cam Mod (for JK2 v1.02)

    Nerevar's Cam Mod (1.0) for Jedi Knight v1.02
     
    Even if you don't want to make an ultra cool movie with pro camera rails, you should check it out, cause it makes it much easier (less investigated time to search the kills, fast-forward feature or freeview and spectator mode) to watch your demos
     
    Besides that the mod includes:
    - dismemberment
    - rain effect
    - sun effect
    - option for saber trail extension
    and some more
     
    Also the demo & Disconnect crash is fixed (CTF demo crash fixed too) and jk2mp.exe will quit orderly
     
    INSTALLATION:
    Copy the complete "Cammod" folder into your GameData folder
    Then load it by starting jk2 normally -> setup -> mods -> loadmod cammod
    (DON'T RENAME THE FOLDER TO SOMETHING ELSE)
    Start the game and set in console vm_ui 0 and vm_cgame 0 (the mod won't work otherwise)
     
    Installationhelper:
    If you haven't done it correctly, the console will give you a message that a .dll is missing
     
    BUTTONS (ingame):
    W,A,S,D,C,SPACE - movement
    shift - speed down
    mouse2 - speed up
    mouse1 - spectate the players (cycling like in spectator mode, press any movement key to return into freeview mode)
    Q - opens the camera menu ingame
    Z - a step back, if you accidently deleted the wrong waypoint, or don't like the one you just created, press Z end the last state is reloaded (there's just one step)
    Del - deletes a selected waypoint for the rail camera
     
    ADDING WAYPOINTS/EFFECTS/COMMANDS:
    Important note: To start the rails which you've created, you have to do cam_drawpath 0 (= off)
     
    Waypoints (showcase:
    ):-there are 2 kinds of waypoints: initials and chains
    initials will start a "new camerapath" while chains will connect to the last waypoint
    -To add an initial fill in all editfields (starttime,endtime,startorigin,startangles,endorigin,endangles)
    -To add a chain fill in only the end-editfields and leave the rest blank (endtime,endorigin,endangles)
    -modes: linear/smooth/very smooth
     
     
    Other notes:
    editfields can be set to the current time by pressing the triangle next to it
    editfields can be set to an event by pressing the cross next to it and choosing an event from the eventcatcher
    origin & angles editfields can be set to the current origin & viewangles by pressing the triangle next to it

    Features:
    - then there is a time editfield and a commandline editfield, add it and the written command will be automatically executed when the set time is passed
     
    You can add effects:
    -times & origins & angles like waypoints
    -File is the .efx started when the set time is passed at the set origin
    -the list below shows the effects in your folders (base & cammod)

    -double click on it to show the effect ingame
     
    OTHER COMMANDS (most of them are included in the menu):
    toggletimescale - toggle the timescale value between the value 0 and the current value (so you can easily pause and unpause the demo by pressing just one button) bind it!
     
    startCamerapathNow - the loaded camerapath file will start immediately relative to the started time, ignoring timescale (so you can use the path with timescale 0, f.e.) if you do this, the times for the waypoints don't have to be exact, just the distance between the timepoints is used, timescale has NO influence, the realtime is used
     
     
    CVARS:
    cam_sabertrail - you can change the length(time) of the sabertrail, 40 is default
     
    These you can set also in the menu (prefered):
    -cam_preloadfiles - the cammod will preload all files which are needed lateron before the demo starts so there shouldn't be any user/join/connect/skin/model/change-lags
    cam_mousespeed - for freeview
    cam_speed - for freeview
    cam_smooth - for freeview
    cam_collision - freeview has collision
    cam_dismember - enable/disable dismemberment on kills
    cam_corpsedismember - enable/disable dismemberment on corpses
    cam_rain - set rain and its intensity (0-1000)
    cam_sun - enable/disable sun flare effect
    cam_shownames - show the names of all players
    cam_freeview - well, freeview
    cam_lookat - lock the cameraview to the set entity (entitynumber 0-1024)(0-31 are players, look into the entitylist)
    cam_drawpath - draws the waypoints & effects, if this is activated neither camerapathmovement nor cameraeffects nor cameracommands will start (like in editmode)
     
    Menu:
    -The mod shows demos of base,cammod and all nt folders in a list, by pressing the buttons above the list you can show/hide those folders
    -doubleclick or play button starts the demo
    -If you press DELETE the chosen demo will be removed (FOR EVER!!!)
    -You can still type into your console "/demo" if there are multiple demos with the same name the list will show those so you can choose which one you really want (also ingame!!!)
     
    Menu stuff:
    Add Item:
    -You can add a waypoint, a command or an effect here (explanation below)
    Timeline:
    -You see all the current waypoints/effects/commands
    -by clicking on them they will be marked, by doubleclicking on them the view will be set so you can see them
    -you can press DELETE to delete an item
    -the progressbar below shows the current position in the demo (time)
    Entitylist:
    -You can see all entities and there entitynumbers
    -You can filter which ones you want to see
    -doubleclick to spectate the chosen entity
    Demo:
    -title is the demoname
    -Timepoint is the position to fast-forward to by clicking on the fast-forward button
    -clicking the triangle will set the timepoint cvar to the current time
    -clicking the cross will open the eventcatcher which shows all kills(times are marked red) & chatmessages which happened or will happen in the demo, click accept to set the selected time to fast-forward value (timepoint)
    -below you can set the camerapath file which you can load/save by clicking the buttons
    -the list under that shows the camerapath files in your cammod/camerapaths folder (click to set)
    Setup
    -you can edit all cammod settings
     
     
    Tips & Tricks:
    - If you forgot adding a waypoint, it is no problem. You can just insert a waypoint f.e. between two others, by using a time which is between those
    - As you can fly smoothly around, you can record your frags ofc with just flying by manually
    - Editfields: endangles (making the cameras having an angle sideways) is a rly nice effect when using the rail system

    Bugs:
    -The campath might disappear after the 10th cam point. I think you can continue however but your campath will be not visible anymore (some maximum is reached or so)
    -As the rail system has no fixpoint it might turn wildly around so chose your waypoints wisely (or use cam_lookat 0-31 for clients or 32-x for items/entities):
    to avoid that wild turnings the camera should not make turns over 180° as it might turn the other way around, same with endangles (but just try it out yourself)

    Originally a character for my short stories and what-not when I was in a professional writing and editing course at University, Gwethenea quickly became a personality I role-played with on various rpg’s my brother and friends had corrupted me into liking.

  17. LFPack Modifcation

    Description:
    Game Loading Screen: It changes the image that appears when the game begins to load.
    Menu music: It changes to the Rebuilt Jedi Enclave song you can hear while playing KotOR II: The Sith Lords (hope this is not taken as Spam or something ).
    Console background image: Gave it a bit of blue tone but principalle more brightness.
    Menu Background image: I played a bit with Constrast and Brightness . Also made the Circle in the center black and changed some arrows to a brighter blue.
    Button color background: Made it brighter
    Game Cursor: Changed it for the one you have in Jk2, and changed the "blade" from blue to red.
    Server connection/ Initializing Screne: Changed the whole image.
    Game Hud: Changed the hud to a one with our Clan Logo, made the hud grey, made the Health, Armor, Ammo and Force bars brighter also.
    Saber Core: Althought I made it brighter, I'm not very sure that this change can be easily noted.
    Lightning: I gave both the Flash and the lightning itself a blue color.
    Scope: Gave it a tone of Red, changed the circle that spins when looking further, turn the power charging bar to black, and made a "cross" in the center of the scope.
    Menu and scoretable: When you are inside the game, and press "Esc" the menu bar that appears on the top, well that bar was given a darker blue tone, and also to the one from the score table.

    Comments:
     
    It is very important to take into account that you must put this Modification in EVERY MOD you use if you want it to work. For example, in my case I use both basejk3 and JA+. If I don't put it in "japlus" folder, when I execute that mod it won't work.
     
    Credits:
     
    Firstly, I must give credits for the Music I used in the Menu, which I got from Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This soundtrack is not my creation so I claim no credit for it. Secondly, I thank my Clan for helping me to test this modification, principally the music.

    Installation Steps:
     
    1) Extract all files out of the JAR_Script.zip to the base folder.

    3) Next, edit the ja_info.cfg, again in Notepad, with your name.
     
    Running the Script:
     
    1) When you log into the server, type \exec autoexec.cfg in the console.
     
    2) Hit the DEL(delete) key and that will load the script.
     
    3) Use the default keys for the menues:

    - Most of the standard sabers and guns have been replaced. Most text has been changed to reflect this.
    - The Blaster Pistol, Rifle and Demp have increades fire rates as well as a boost in ammo.
    - Sparks and smoke replaced by blood. Stumps are dark red rather than yellow.
    - Every one of the weapons leaves a butn mark.
    - Force Lightning replaced with a Fire effect.

  24. Hercules and Xena Skins v2

    This is a very large re-skin, actually a conversion pack, with both Single Player and Multi Player in mind. I've re-skinned all weapons, animals, and almost all the characters in the entire game. In addition, I've re-skinned some of the GFX files, and added pictures, made a music file that you can download separately.
    Lots to enjoy. Be sure to see my other read me file (Spawn_Read_Me.rtf) for the npc and playermodel spawn names.
     
    IMPORTANT WARNING: You should first make sure to remove all other npc / pk3 files before trying this mod.
    I've maxed-out the npc limit. It will almost certainly crash if you don't remove your other npc files first (if you have any).
    So don't complain if it keeps crashing on you because you didn't read this warning.
