For what it might worth - the trailer is pretty light on actual plot details.

For me it brought back the 'fairy tale' feel of the original trilogy - and I say that as a non-hater of the prequels.

There aren't really any spoilers to be honest, it showed a lot of stuff from the previous trailer and not really anything that new other than new footage of pretty much the same thing.

Does the player get to carry lots of guns still? I hate the shift that shooters took to only 2-3 guns at a time. I have a whole rant about how getting guns and ammo was essentially leveling up in a shooter.

You carry all the guns you have at once like JK2. You can see that in the trailer. I can really only say what's in the trailer/gameplay videos. Everything else I'm not allowed to.

Oh gotcha. Yeah, looks kinda like that style of saber. And yeah, mini, I think everyone is hoping for that. Less arcade style and more like the JK series the better. I'm keeping my expectations low, but at the same time, I can't help but be hopeful for something good. The premise sounds cool.

I remember someone actually doing something of a port for d3 - or at least a crossover of sorts. Was way back in the days though.

Nope, it just uses the ctime library in C++ and then prints that to the console using the Com_printf() function in JA. I'm honestly rather surprised that it worked. I've always had tons of issues trying to compile that damn source code.

You wouldn't even need to use the C/C++ library. There's a function that obtains it already.
