Well... get a job or mow lawns or rake some old lady's back yard, and save up to buy a better computer? Hell, apply for welfare. It's not EAs fault that you have a bad computer and don't have money to buy another.Technology advances, it's 2015. EA shouldn't have to strip their game down to run on a early 2000s pc. How does your family afford internet if they can barely pay for food? You could buy a console which is cheaper short term, PS4 is like $400 and I think an Xbox one bundle is like $350.

Just played the beta for like an hour and a half and...wow, just wow. This game is literally like the movie running inside your computer. Everything about it feels exactly like Star Wars. Playing it on Ultra in 60fps (GTX 970) is a blast. I wasn't thinking about buying this game before but now I think I might at some point (not for $60). A minor thing that bothered me before from what I saw in the trailer was the UI, but after actually playing the game I like the UI.

I've had my mirror operating for over a year and a half and I only got 1 request to take something down which I did. I don't think that's going to be much of an issue. If they don't want the mod in the mirror, they can request it to be taken down. It's that simple.
-
I can't imagine someone in a thousand years suing JKHub to take a mod down, that's kind of ridiculous. All they need to do is ask nicely to have it removed and you can do so. It doesn't need to be sponsored by JKHub or anything, just a link to the mirror on the top bar would suffice. You could say something like "this mirror is not supported or sponsored by JKHub" on it. The mirror already exists. All you are doing is making it slightly easier for people to find. Also, creating mods for a Star Wars game is already a legal gray area. Disney owns the rights for hundreds of characters, worlds and stories that other people have built off of, it's not like JKHub has to ask Disney for permission to have the site called Jedi Knight Hub.

I feel like the mirror should be advertised more. There might be a lot of people out there that don't use this forum and don't know that there's a JK3files mirror here, like my friend above.
-
Glad it worked for you.

That might be the problem... here's what you need in your base folder: assets0.pk3assets1.pk3assets2.pk3assets3.pk3To get all of the assets go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\GameData\base , all of the assets should be in there.
-
Using OpenJK is easy, just download it here: https://builds.openjk.org/ and put all of the assets.pk3 files from Jedi Academy in the OpenJK folder and start the game, should fix any issues you are having.

Yes, maybe with even a little less translucency, like barely noticable, just something to give some subconscious structure when viewing the site.
-
I think it would look best if the white background was removed entirely or replaced by something very translucent in the background

Nozy! Please use this site more! We miss you. I miss all of the old JK3files people.
-
Or better yet, could the bone system from jka be ported to jk2 eliminating the need to port models? That would be a nice feature for openjk.

Wow, I didn't even know Iron Maiden was still together. Pretty cool to have such an old band still creating new content.

The way it was meant to be played...

That Luke model looks awful to be honest, I don't think it looks anything like Mark Hamill. -
Have the complete archive now via torrent, will seed for as long as I can. I plan to upload the archive to box and delete my old mirror.
-
The feature of being able to view the screenshots and readme file, mine just had zip files. I removed mods on request as well.

@@mrwonko has a better, complete mirror with searching functionality and other cool features here: http://mrwonko.de/jk3files

Read page 2 of this thread.

No. Even if you took this thing apart and were somehow able to put it in an ATX case I would doubt it has a free PCI express slot. I would recommend you just buy a cheap tower computer with a decent processir, and just install a graphics card in that.
-
In case anyone has read this topic but not the "JK3files kick the bucket" one, the files are not actually corrupted, just don't extract them with the default Windows or Mac OS X archive managers. Use Winrar /7zip and it should work fine.

Solution: port JKA to Unreal 4.

Great work Is there a way you could make swimming underwater more blurred/realistic rather than the game's default way of just coloring everything blue? One of the things I absolutely hate about this game is how ugly and cheap the water looks, but it looks like that might be changing now.
