    I understand, I'm just asking because it looks like the connections the cape makes to the armor look kinda odd, cool as the cape is. in the JKO Movie, the cape being wrapped around the neck makes a little more sense, at least in my opinion. Would it be possible to keep both the hood while having the cape wrap around the front? It looks surprisingly cool, a lot more fitting for Kyle than Desann in many ways, like this should have been what his dark side ending variant looked like in DFII.

    Yes! I've been hoping someone would do this ever since I saw him wearing the cape in the movie trailer. This mod looks awesome, I just have two questions: If you ever choose to do so, could you edit the cape so that it wraps around his lower neck like it did in the trailer or in this official movie pic? And second, since Desann is nowhere in JKA's story and is obviously only featured in JK2, do you think you could port this model over to JK2 as well?

    JK2 with max shadows turned on, JKA is a little more refined in this regard. It's literally rough around the edges.

    Honestly, this is a really tough one. Sithani's got the better model while Neomarz nailed the textures better imo. I guess I'd have to go with the Sithani version.

    People have way too high hopes for this. I'm expecting the exact same situation with what we got with the Samurai Jack return, in which we got a bunch of sorta good episodes unfortunately with a really rushed and poorly fleshed out story due to the very limited amount of episodes and length per episode. Expect a rushed ending, expect to see basically a bunch of old episode ideas mixed together into single episodes with insufficient story progression due to the limited time per episode. Also don't expect the level of maturity to be on level with what the Clone Wars was like previously due to Disney carefully choosing whats "appropriate". Disney is doing this to make people stop talking about the Clone Wars once they've given the fans some scraps of what they actually want so they can move on to their other garbage, basically a way to convince the fans that they haven't been completely abandoned. "See, see, we're giving you Clone Wars, you like us now right?!" And then they completely abandon it again. This season is going to be fun at first and then looked at less admiringly in the future, I damn near guarantee it. There were a good 60-some episodes planned prior to the cancellation. You're only getting 12 episodes, basically half the length of a regular season and this will be the only season you're getting. Disney isn't giving this to you to please the fans, they're doing this to distract you and make you all shut up.

      Admittingly ya cause I heard varying opinions on it, but last time I think I asked if people preferred the name "Medieval Acid" vs "Medieval Tar"

    Didn't the Abandoned Dark Forces JKA mod from JKHub have a Model 2 Dark Trooper mapped onto this? I think that could work well maybe with some reskins.

    To anyone who ever play Half Life 2, do you think the Combine Soldiers really look alien-influenced to you? I know they're all humans and that they've gone through internal augmentation, but their armor just doesn't scream "alien" to me at all. The only exception to this IMO is the elite helmet.

      I think their appearance (uniform) is supposed not to look alien, since they are interracting with humans and should inspire a kind of positive (yet intimidating) image, kinda makes the aliens' rule more bearable if it's familiar-looking

      The gas-masks are, based on the HL wiki, for human combine soldiers stationed off-Earth, where the atmosphere is different.

    It was A New Hope. I had rented the DVD from the library. I had a really minimal understanding of Star Wars as a kid, I would always refer to Vader as "Dark Vader" and the only thing I knew about Star Wars was that Vader thought Luke with a green lightsaber. I had actually rented a New Hope with the intention of seeing the fight scene from Return of the Jedi, so I was somewhat disappointed. My reaction was something along the lines of "...That's it?" Ironically enough now, A New Hope is my favorite Star Wars movie.

    That is indeed the video game that was being referenced, as was said in the original quote. Such an underrated game. It was really cool. The PS2/Xbox/GC years were the golden era of Star Wars games.

    This is such a cool little project you've been working on! If you don't intend on finishing it, could you at least possible release whatever custom assets you've added or changed? And if not even that can we still at least get that sexy Yavin skybox? Also I did some additional playthroughts with the mod. I used openJK, a big saber mod and the UltimateWeapons mod and I changed nearly half of all models (both their in game appearance and their display on the menu). I can confirm that while OpenJK is a definite big help, it's not perfect. There are some instances, like the engine room on the Kel Dor's ship, where it is almost impossible not to crash the game with additional assets. If you plan on overhauling this mod, then good luck to you working around the bugs. I also narrowed down the cause of a really bad bug. In the first Jedi Council cutscene, sometimes the cutscene freezes mid conversation between Not-Windu and Not-Yoda. I figured out this only happens for some reason on the highest difficulty setting. IDK why, but it is especially disappointing and I have no idea why it would do that.

    You may legally acquire the game via sources like Steam or GOG. You may illegally acquire the game by not asking here how to do so. Support the devs who made the great game, spend a couple bucks.

    May 4th is a great time to release a beta. Your progress looks good, but do you think it'll be released on time? Please, don't feel like you need to rush your mod just to meet a fitting deadline, I'll take quality over a funny deadline any day . Regardless, this might be the mod to bring me back to JKA again! Keep up the solid work, I love remastering old mods for personal use and to see such a massive overhaul being publicly released is such a nice reflection of how well and alive the (single-player) modding community is for JKA.

      The way I understand it, they're following a different religion that is biased towards the Dark Side of the Force. It's like being Jewish or Muslim, they're both different very religions but worship the same monotheistic god.

      Ya, it definitely seems similar to that. That actually makes me enjoy the antagonists of the new trilogy a little more. I do hope that Kylo gets a new saber more fitting now and for some more history regarding Snoke.

    1. I knew this one, but I only just learned about it a year ago and was still really surprised. That's such a nice feature to add, it makes Force Sense useful outside of unimmersive puzzles. 2. I knew that one, I'd have thought most of us knew this now, but I guess since the binoculars and the vision goggles really aren't useful at all, no one lost any batteries to begin with. 3. I've never, NEVER seen that happen and I'm really surprised. I'd love to see footage of that. It'd be a terrific idea to make this more common in JA Enhanced or another mod. 4. Didn't know that, made me laugh. I did know about Alora, however. She sounded similar to Mandy, but Bravo and Katarn never sounded similar to me. 5. Didn't know that, but considering I never really use the DEMP2 outside of two or three maps, meh. There's something about Rosh's voice actor that is just so darn good for making characters dislikeable. He also voiced Dustil Onasi and Brejik in KOTOR, two characters that have both an annoying voice and fittingly annoying dialogue and personalities.. But where are the other 5 facts?

    If I might ask, why do you use the old Kartoon Vader model for JK2 from 2003 instead of a newer model? I might use this in a JK2 SP project, as this skin work is definitely better than Kartoons.

    I think the coolest thing about JK3 Modeling is that I've seen so many custom models for this game ported for mods in other games, especially models by NeoMarz1 and Hapslash

      Valve HAD JA beat in moddability UNTIL the source code for JA was released. JA is much easier to mod. The drag and drop PK3 system is hard to beat as far as modularity of the game.
