  1. Every time I see screenshots of your maps they blow me away. I can't wait to check this mod out.
  2. Bot routes are pretty easy to make without even editing the map. Just takes a few commands and walking around the map adding the waypoints. Here’s the tutorial.
  3. Why do you need so many NPC mods if you're just playing through the SP missions? Are you actually spawning them as you go along? It is best to avoid adding additional NPCs unless you plan on actually using them while playing SP for this reason. Otherwise just open up the PK3 files with Pakscape and delete the mod's NPC files that you don't plan on using.
  4. OpenJK adds support for it by default, so it's just a feature carried over. Though I'm quite certain JAEnhanced doesn't ship with them, I don't really see the problem with that when the JAEnhanced pk3 is only really meant for JAEnhanced and is run from it's own mod folder to avoid messing with the base install. Sounds like he has another pk3 that has it in his base folder.
  5. Happy birthday JK2! 🎉If you missed my 2 hour interview with the JK2 devs last year, here's a 15min clip of it to give you a taste!

  6. Two factor authentication on JKHub Just a quick little update here for you guys. Due to a lot of security breaches and hacks that have been going on around the internet over the last year or so, and an uptick in spam posts recently, we've enabled two-factor authentication as an option for all accounts, and a requirement for all staff accounts. This won't necessarily fix the spam problem, but hopefully it allows users a little more security if they desire it. If you aren't familiar with two factor authentication (also known as 2FA), or multi-factor authentication, it basically enables you to use a second method for confirming that it is you that signs in, by using another device or account that you have approved to use as an authentication method. Typically this is through an SMS or an authenticator app. The method we have enabled is the latter, authentication apps such as Google Authenticator (Android | iOS)and Authy (Android | iOS). Chances are you're using one of those apps already, so this should be easy for you. If you haven't and want to learn, check out this link for a quick explainer on that. Visit the link below to enable 2FA on your JKHub account. Account Security Settings Jedi Outcast turns 21! In other news, this month marked the 21st birthday of Jedi Outcast, which isn't as exciting as the 20th, but in the States JK2 is old enough to legally drink, so raise a pint! If you weren't around for the 20th anniversary last March, or you haven't gotten around to watching it yet or just live under a rock, last year I had the privilege of talking with a handful of the developers that were at Raven Software at the time and helped make Jedi Outcast. The full interview was about 2 hours long, but if you want just a little taste of it, I do have a short little clip on my main YouTube channel below that's about 15 minutes if you want to just hear a bit to decide if you want to hear the full thing. It was really cool getting to hear them just reminisce about that time and see their passion for making that game. I plan on doing it again later this year for Jedi Academy too, fingers crossed, so subscribe to the channel or keep an eye here around August/September as we get closer to the actual 20th anniversary for Jedi Academy. Full Interview Video Here Ideas for Jedi Academy Anniversary Speaking of Jedi Academy, if you guys have any ideas for ways to celebrate the 20th anniversary that are feasible to do, let me know. Is there a specific kind of contest you want to see? Is there any interest in some kind of server meet up or event someone has in mind to help with? There's only so much I can do on my own, so any help or ideas would be welcome. Leave in the comments below or contact me directly. View full article

  8. Should just be a matter of changing the frame number in animations.cfg in models/players/_humanoid for each stance to match the frame number of the strong style. Just did it in about 2 minutes here for you. https://circa.im/files/jka/strongstance.pk3
  9. There seems to be some confusion on all sides here. Your previous threads and comments all mentioned trying to get JAEnhanced to run on Android, which you got your answer for (its not compatible). This thread seems to be about the PC version now, but then you mentioned APK files which implies you're talking about Android again. APK files are Android apps, EXE files are Windows apps. Follow the steps Lancelot mentioned, or if you need a visual guide, the video I made about installing OpenJK will apply to JAEnhanced as well. As far as controller support goes, JAEnhanced does not include any additional controller support. For games like this it is recommended to add it as a non-Steam game in Steam and launch it in Big Picture mode and use Steam's controller configurations, you can look through the ones that other players have made public and try them out. Another option is to use something like Xpadder or reWASD to map anything to a controller. Sorry you're running into so many problems, we're trying to help as best we can with the info provided.
  10. Presumably because it's using the multiplayer you already had on there, the game splits SP and MP between two launchers, so if you open MP you're opening the Android version that you already had.
  11. JAEnhanced is for Windows and Linux only right now, no Android support. Multiplayer works because JAEnhanced doesn't have multiplayer, it is single player only.
  12. It is not compatible with android. Windows and Linux only.
  13. This thread is from 10 years ago CrimsonStrife hasn't been around JKA in almost 8 years. I don't think he'd mind.
  14. It's actually an issue with singleplayer in general, not just JAEnhanced. The fix is in the comments of that file that I posted, but Ruxith will need to fix it himself or allow for my fix to be uploaded to his file page.
  15. Hm, I'm surprised someone hasn't made a female version of the Nautolan yet. Sounds like a @Noodle project.
  16. Here's a fixed PK3 for the no saber blade issue. I also added the Sith and Kit Fisto options to the SP menu. If @Ruxith wants me to upload this to the file page let me know, otherwise I'll keep in the comments for now. https://icedrive.net/s/Aj8xCSGNAXCFxFaTi1zF8YDZkkQ3

  18. Very cool! I’m sure @BenSlzak would appreciate these!

  20. The only way to do it without redoing nearly everything after a decompile would be entity modding. It lets you add, edit, or remove existing entities on a map without touching the brush or lighting portion of a map, but it is highly recommended to familiarize yourself with how GTKRadiant and mapping practices work in general before jumping into messing with entities. It can be a little complicated since it's all text based editing.
  21. Put a lot of effort into this video and written guide, hoping to make it as easy as possible for new and returning players.

  22. It’s no secret that older games are increasingly harder to get into, especially as support for them on modern systems continues to dwindle down and the more steps you have to take to get them to work properly continues to rise. Then, once you get the game running, you are taken aback by the graphics after being used to playing the latest AAA games and immediately go hunting for mods to enhance the graphics and experience to help you enjoy your time. Or maybe you literally have no idea how to play the game, but enjoy it enough to learn more about getting better. Well, here is some basic info to hopefully make all of that easier when it comes to Jedi Academy. This game is turning 20 years old this year, and it is still one of the greatest Star Wars games of all time with an active modding and player community. I took some time making a video and written guide on all of the basics of getting started with Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy in 2023. Keep in mind this is geared towards new or returning players, so it is meant to be as simple as possible. Watch the video below or read the written guide at the bottom below that. 25. Just a little helpful hint, you can bind the screenshot button to a key so your console isn't covering half the screen. /bind o screenshot (replace o with a key of your choosing) Or you can do /bind o screenshot silent to hide the top left text as well. To answer your questions, if it's an elevator for a single player level, I always think switches make the most sense. Or if it needs to be manually entered in MP. So I'd say use switches. Your second question I'm not sure I really understand enough to answer.
