  2. JA++ is meant to be a "new version" of JA+ and I believe it will show ingame as JA+. Seeing japlus in the mods menu ingame is literally just showing that folder you dropped the files into and that should still be used. From the japp site: Being on Mac will make this more complicated though, I'm not sure razor has made a working mac version that runs on newer Macs. I also just tried to get this installed on my MacBook M3 and couldn't get it either. Might want to just use OpenJK/EternalJK as the client right now until razor sees this to help. Or you could use Whisky to run JKA in Windows on Mac which is a newer thing that works pretty well actually. I'm hoping to write up a new tutorial on that soon. The benefit to that is you can use any Windows versions of client executable mods that otherwise don't have Mac versions (or outdated Mac versions like JA+).

  5. Presumably because MD uses their own saber effects. Try renaming the blood mod pk3 files to have ZZZZ in their names like ZZZZbloodPLUS.pk3 or whatever it is. That will make it load last.

  7. It wouldn't be as simple as changing a line in a file in a pk3, you'd need to make the changes to the game code itself and recompile to use a new .exe file completely. If you aren't familiar with coding at all it may be a bit advanced. If you do, it's recommended to use OpenJK's code as a baseline. Compile instructions are in the readme. Maybe someone can point you to where the exact code is but implementing it for a different weapon will be quite involved.
  8. Doesn't look like it is possible without code changes. g_friendlyFire is for MP and doesn't exist in SP. Could be something @redsaurus could implement in JAEnhanced maybe, if he was interested at some point. From what I gathered, the OpenJK devs aren't interested.

  10. Like I said, could be too many NPCs too, not just vehicles. By JK2 maps, do you mean a pk3 with jk2 maps converted to work properly with JKA or did you just pop in the jk2 assets? Your best bet is to troubleshoot by process of elimination. Take out all pk3s except for assets, and add one by one (or a few at a time) to nail down which pk3 is causing the problem.
  11. They are native to the game in t2_trip, yes. Its possible you just have too many NPCs in general, vehicles are a type of NPC in the limits IIRC. I'd be curious to see your base folder, I would assume you have tons of pk3s of skins and models that probably all have their own NPC file in ext_data.
  12. It depends, does the racing map pk3 add a ton of vehicles? The issue is the amount of vehicles, not the maps themselves. Not sure how familiar you are with pk3 files but you could remove the vehicles .veh files you don't want from the maps if they are included in them.
  13. Also using a client like OpenJK or its derivatives will raise limits like that but only by a reasonable bit.

  16. Wow, we don't see posts like this hardly ever but I love this. Sometimes its hard to get young kids into older games like this but it probably helps to have someone get them set up and looks like you got some Star Wars characters in there for them to play as which probably was a big bonus for them! Thanks for sharing!
  17. Either the npc spawn cheat or go into multiplayer and play against bots. You could also go into online multiplayer and play against real people. Some servers and clans will be friendly enough to offer you tips.

  19. Sorry I didn't look that closely at it since I assumed Cerez had tested before uploading. I just included the missing strings file that is required for SP menu support. I also went ahead and just included all of the original files too so you only need one pk3 for SP. If you click the download link on the main download page it will show two downloads, original and the new SP one. By the way, if you wanted to learn for yourself how to edit these things or make your own mods, a good starting place is this tutorial which links to other tutorials on various topics.   21. The High Republic books have been incredible, if you're a reader I highly recommend diving in there too. But yeah Yoda is around, he was on the council in the books which take place about 100 years before this show (he wasn't grand master yet though), as well as Yaddle, Oppo Rancisis, and Yareal Poof, since their species live that long too. However in the books they are used very sparingly, Yoda has a few scenes here and there but overall is not considered a main character by any means. I think if they show up in this show it will be a council scene or something very small.
  22. Since I haven't used JKA in a non-English language I'm not familiar with the "setlanguage.cfg" file. Is that created in the folder when you have it in its own folder too? Or just the base folder?
  23. This trailer is incredible and I’m super hyped for this show! Finally a live action show with brand new characters and timeline! The tone looks very dark but with lots of aliens and cool worlds that make it feel very Star Wars, not to mention a focus on Jedi.
  24. I know nothing about Warhammer but this looks pretty cool! Just be sure you are keeping track of the authors of any content you make to properly credit them when you release it.
