  1. Yeah this is the big controversy right now: https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2017/11/12/fans-worry-star-wars-battlefront-2s-free-dlc-heroes-are-going-to-take-eons-to-grind-for/#d14c59036285
  2. http://www.starwars.com/news/rian-johnson-writer-director-of-star-wars-the-last-jedi-to-create-all-new-star-wars-trilogy This might have me even more excited than I was for Episode VII. Of course we haven't seen The Last Jedi yet to determine how well he can do Star Wars, but overall I am really excited for truly original content that isn't tied to the Skywalker saga. What era do you guys think he will set his films in? I'm sure a lot of people will say the KOTOR era, which I'd agree. Would be awesome. I'd be fine with any era though.
  3. He should, from what I can see.
  4. This is really awesome. Keep the progress coming!
  5. They are dedicated servers, not matches. So the atmosphere is going to be a lot different than what a "match" would entail. Like ent said, your best bet is to learn the different communities and their server popularity and time zones. This is a very old game, the playerbase gets smaller each year. If you want a group to try out the game with, check out my clan Shadow Order. We have a Discord if you want to come chat with us and we can help you out. @@ranhcase

  7. Can I has in JKA?
  8. Heh. Good ol' JK2-era models. The face texture is what made that model great.
  9. You’d rather hear someone else’s opinion before deciding on your own first? That pretty much guarantees you will share the first opinion you hear.
  10. Check in effects/volumetric
  11. I highly doubt it. The amount of games made during the Episode I craze was always intentional. After they released the Episode I game in 1999 (made by Big Ape Productions), the Xbox came out, and I'm sure they wanted to get a new game on there ASAP, one that tied in with the movie. That's just my speculation, though.
  12. I also will offer my services. If you need any audio work done like foley or other effects, I'm all for it. Been looking for cool ways to build my portfolio. If not now then in any future projects you have.
  13. Yep, the search is pretty much worthless. We added a link to use Google search instead, if you drop down the blue button next to the search bar. IPB is silly, basically.
  14. This may be a bit late for some people's timezones, but Happy Halloween from JKHub! Our contest went extremely well! All of the entries were top notch in my book, and I'm proud of each person that worked on these. Great job everyone. Now, usually I mention the winner and the 2nd and 3rd place mods, but since there were a few that were tied for both of those positions, and we had another bad case of people registering only to vote, I'm going to instead mention all entries equally, aside from the winner. With that said...the winner of the Halloween 2017 Mod Contest is... LANGERD ...again. Langerd has once again destroyed the poll with a whopping 20 votes, exactly twice the amount of votes the runner ups got. This man knows how to contest, and his Halloween Town mod pretty much blows his mod from last year out of the water by far. Let's take a look. Halloween Town is very small map, but cozy. As soon as it loads up, you'll immediately think of Halloween Town from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas or Luigi's Mansion or other toony and creepy media. The ghosts that haunt the area were definitely a must-have for this setting, since it's a graveyard. Upon further exploration, you will next notice the creepy jack-o-lantern pumpkins around the map. What is so special about these pumpkins? The animations, my friend. The animations. They look like they are straight out of another game. I think these guys are my favorite part of the whole map. It brings the map alive in a way that JKA maps usually fall short with. Now, I'm not sure if this next part was either a ploy to gain more votes or to show his hit list, but nonetheless it was a clever touch. I felt honored to be dead in this map. And the final element I will show is the icing on the cake. Any time a map has interactive elements to it, it's immediately more enjoyable. Even if it's just a simple button, people love pushing it. This map is no exception to that. What is Halloween without trick-or-treat candy? The cauldron in the center will give the children what they came for. This is only one of the handful of interactive elements in the map. Overall, the map is extremely well done. I applaud you, Langerd, for crafting this thing. You never cease to amaze the modding community with your recent projects. Not only are your works great, but they are of the size and quality of a full mod team to accomplish, in such little time. I always look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve. There is one thing this map needs to be better, and its to have more of it. Would love to see it bigger with more room to use on a server for people to play on. Everyone give Langerd a round of applause! Here is your prize! Don't forget to check out the rest of the contest entries. Seriously. There are some really great mods here that will surprise you. If you're looking for something to do tonight to fulfill your sp00ky appetite, try all of these out. I'm honestly surprised it wasn't a closer poll, because of how cool all of these are. Nice job, and be thinking of what you'll make for next year! ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------

  16. I think Halloween Town is great, really superb. The pumpkin animations were great. However the map is extremely small. It has almost no function other than to look pretty, which in my opinion is the whole point of a mod: functionality. Apparently nobody is really thinking of that when voting for it. I can't put it on my server and ever really use it because there's no room to duel or FFA or anything. You look around and say "wow" and then you're pretty much done. Would love to see it made bigger. That kept me from voting for it.
  17. Okay, I tried everything. I am super happy and impressed by this year's entries. You guys really stepped it up. I ended up voting for @@Ramikad's Pumpkin Patch. I feel it was the most unique and creative one. It made you think, which is why I'm sure it's going to be very underrated. People will give up after they conclude that it's literally just a pumpkin patch, when it definitely is not. That was a hard vote though!
  18. Voting is now open! Go download them and have fun trying them out. You have until the 30th to vote on your favorite entry! Closing this. Direct your discussion to the poll thread. Vote in the Halloween 2017 Contest Poll

  20. OFFICIAL POLL The submission period has now ended! Thanks to all of you that submitted your sp00ky creations. This has been a good one. Lots of great and high quality stuff was made. I'm excited to see this poll take shape, because I think the results will be close! Please be sure to download and play through these mods before voting on one. Screenshots don't do mods justice hardly ever, or sometimes they hype up a mod only for it to disappoint when you actually play it. Be sure to give them a go in-game before voting. All votes are public, so any attempts at cheating will be obvious to everyone. Those that submitted a mod may vote as well, even for their own. No shame (unless your vote sways the win ) Voting will close on October 30th! Winner will announced on Halloween, the 31st! Here we go! Good luck! https://jkhub.org/files/file/3328-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/3326-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/3334-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/3331-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/3335-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/3325-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/3332-sincere-pumpkin-patch/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/3330-%7B%3F%7D/
  21. Thanks to all of you that submitted a mod! There are some really awesome things this year. I think it's going to be a close vote! The poll will be posted later today.
  22. Thanks to all who submitted! The poll will be posted later today!

  23. Yaddle is a female. And yeah, George wanted the species to remain a mystery. Though I'm sure we'll learn more eventually, now that more and more official Star Wars content is being created.
