  1. I started making a new model based on the image in the OP. But the cape isn't turning out well. I'd use the cape from Commander Keller, but it's too short, and scaling it will cause clipping when running. @@Jeff is much better than this than I am.
  2. Heh. Good catch. I did these before I learned how to deal with LODs. Will fix. Thanks.
  3. Nice. I don't think his voice was all that overdriven though. Take a listen to the trailer again (since we can't hear the movie on demand yet ).
  4. Perhaps @@Jeff could add a cape? If not, I could do it sometime, perhaps. And no, I wouldn't say that it's easy. But once you figure it out and do it a few times, it gets easier.
  5. True. Just wasn't sure what I'd put on mine. Because of the simplicity, at least. And yeah, totally forgot about saber. Was just looking at his list.
  6. What's wrong with that? But really, I tried getting the pants as close to the movie as I could. Maybe I'll revisit that eventually.
  7. @@Jeff made one that he really should upload here. You can find it in a pack that he linked here: http://jkhub.org/topic/5134-jeffs-never-ending-wips/?p=85315
  8. Where did you get that file? It's not a typical .bundle file that is used by OS X, just tried various methods. Is it straight from the game's assets? If so, there's no way to open it without the developer tools.
  9. There's one in MBII. I extracted it for a project once, I'll see if i can find it.
  10. Um. .bundle files are usually for plugins and apps for various things in Mac OS X. Why?
  11. Updated first post with a very brief synopsis of this first mission. Very simple mission. Hey @@therfiles can you send me the .map and assets for this? I may start learning how to script and get started on this mission.

This contains 2 new additions to the default Lando model, giving him the appearance from Episode 5 and 6, with his capes included. I made this over 2 years ago now and kept forgetting to release it. It was for the Star Wars Saga mod. For MP, the skins replace the team color skins. So the ESB skin is team blue, ROTJ is red. /model lando/red /model lando/blue For SP, there is NPC support: /playermodel lando_esb /playermodel lando_rotj Or to spawn him: /npc spawn lando_esb /npc spawn lando_rotj
  13. My inspiration was Call of Duty, they keep every icon in their kill feed extremely simple. And I think that's what @@ensiform was going for, but I could be wrong. Go for it @@Ruxith, I want to see what you come up with! I'll stick with simple and you focus on what you want maybe we'll come up with something great between the two of us.
  14. Thought about doing color, and still can I suppose. Though I'm a fan of simplicity. I did it all in PS, but I created vector shapes for them all, so they can still be used as you say. Might upload all the weapon icons as PS shapes for others to use. This also made me realize again how awful JKA models are. So low poly. Only one I haven't made is the portable sentry. I can't play it's animations in Modview, unless I'm missing something. So it would only be the folded up view, rather than when it's folded out ready to shoot. Any tips on that? I could just manually create it, but outlining a screenshot in Modview is much easier. I could try doing it in-game, I suppose. I also didn't do any icons for alt attacks yet. Not sure it's worth it, or how I would do it. I could come up with something but I think that the primary icon would be fine for alt attack kills. Maybe I'm alone in thinking that. Here's what i have so far. Some of them are kind of...bad. But give me some feedback? @@Ruxith if you want to take a stab at these, go for it. You'd be better than I would. I'm sure @@Grab or @@Sentra would be tons better as well.
  15. Very nice. I think it might be a little too distorted. Did you over-compress or did use use some kind of distortion/overdrive plugin?
  16. Kills are already displayed at the top left anyway, but with cheesy terms. Icons would look much better. I'd be down for making some icons. Should be really easy.
  17. Any tints that are on the model are because of lighting in a certain scene. Otherwise he looks the same, but more like a cartoon.
  18. You can add a non-Steam game by going to + Add Game at the bottom left under the list of games, and then going to Add non-Steam Game. Then just browse to the openjk.x86.exe. Once it's added, right click the newly created game and go to Properties, then go to Set Launch Options and enter +set fs_game "japlus" in the box. Now it should launch automatically with JA+.

  20. Yeah, I figured it would be run warmer. Probably why it appears that his voice is slightly lowered, but just given a nice warm and thick sound to sound like a deep voice. Send me what you come up with, I'm curious what you have.

    Nightly Builds

Well, that made the game launch. I loaded a local game fine. But joining servers results in a crash. First server I joined is just running OpenJK/base and gave me this: But then I try joining the JAWA server (running JA++ I believe) and get a crash and this: And then this is at the end of the crashlog, after all the pk3s are listed:
  22. I think his voice just filtered with a low pass and high pass. Could be lowered a bit too, but I'm not sure.
