Yep, it's down again. I told you it would come to this, I was right, credits to Circa for making this I always used to think that if the master server went down, you could no longer play online servers. I'm glad I was wrong about that xD.

Why not have both ingame and live action cutscenes, and an option where the player can choose which they prefer?

Single player is kinda weird. I remember on a map called rpg_rift, in multiplayer I could fit into a very narrow elevator and press the button, and it would go down fine. However, when I played the map in single player, the elevator would go down, but not me with it? Why? My playermodel wouldn't fit into the elevator. Some switches that worked in mp on some maps also didn't work in sp. I remember quiting at this part xD. Although years later I played it again and got past it. I think you have to swim underwater through a pipe or something. I might replay it again and find out exactly how it's done. The pipe that you have to go through might not be underwater either, but I think it is.

::JEDI:: is still around and swinging. I also joined the RP community Star Wars nightfall, but they're gone now too, or I haven't seen their server anyway. I don't RP too much, mainly because of how strict they are to new players.

Well, if you can contact the other machinimators via xfire, they can just connect directly via the IP. The server list fails to work for me too, so I connect to my friends by using: /connect <ip address here> Tunngle is also useful for setting up your own home dedicated server. With it, you just have your friends join if they have tunngle, then normally create a game (no need for dedicated here), and they can simply join by connecting to your tunngle ip. Almost like a local game. But this may be a bit confusing, so use the first option I recommended above I suppose. What's your xfire, maybe I can help you with this.

Couldn't you run your own dedicated server from home? If your picky, you could use tunngle or hamachi or something. (Of course, that would require other people had those too )...you don't need to have a paid dedicated server, do you?

There is star wars Nightfall the one I went to some time ago. Most of the time it's deserted, and I found the pacing too slow...but maybe that's just me, most roleplays on jka are slow anyway right?
