Doesn't it actually make Disney look good if they fire people like this? Though it was Marvel, not Disney. As far as I know, the latter endorses this kind of behavior and group-think.
Hiring and keeping people like Chuck IS bad for them. Firing them makes them look good. And since Marvel is under Disney, that makes both of them look bad. It also makes Lucasfilm look bad since Chuck wrote comics and novels for Star Wars, which is Lucasfilm's IP.
