Starkiller "Galen Marek" Outfit Pack for JKA
DarkForcesII commented on dark_apprentice's file in Player Models
The arm on the training outfit seems a little large and off-color from the rest of the skin, but the face has a fantastic likeness to Sam. Awesome work. EDIT: Now that I look at it again, the head's skin tone actually doesn't match up with the skin tone shown in the rest of the outfits. But again, it doesn't detract too much from the overall thing. Just something to look into should you ever do a V2.- 38 comments

Dark_Apprentice *JKA Pack*

Left a comment on the actual file page about this, but Vader's cape is completely transparent when viewing him from the front in-game. Any way to fix this? -

Awesome, thanks!

Anyone have the pack that fixes the HS Obi-Wan's sounds? Or have a fixed version ready to download?

Dem Soul Calibur voices. I always thought hearing Vader so intense in that game was a bit weird, but it grew on me as years went by.

JonTron mod from his Starcade
DarkForcesII replied to KyleKatarn1995's topic in Mod Requests & Suggestions
If this ever took off, this would be very interesting to see. Plus I'd think he'd love to see himself in a Star Wars game, officially added in or not. -
That Merc War V2 Map works if you pretend it's Jakku. Still would want a map dedicated to actually being Jakku, though.

Ah alright. Thanks for confirming!

I'm absolutely loving JK:E right now. Awesome stuff. Just have one question though- I was editing an NPC file for Kylo Ren and I wanted to give him the stasis ability. Tried adding the line "FP_STASIS 3" in the section where the force powers show up, but when I would switch to him through the playermodel command, he didn't have the stasis power. Did I put the wrong thing down to add stasis? Or something wrong? Edit: Alright, turns out I wasn't editing the right NPC file. I was just editing the one outside of the ext_data folder. Stupid mistake. I do still have a question about that power- Do NPCs not want to use that power? I noticed Kylo did not once try to use the stasis ability. Would've been interesting to fight against an opponent that could actually stop movement for a short while.

Well that's disappointing. At least we know now it was attempted at some point.

I get what's being asked here. The TFU Luke is modeled after his appearance in ROTJ. Toshi's model is also based on ROTJ Luke. However, Toshi's Luke was modeled after Luke in the movies, and although the request is technically still ROTJ Luke, this version would be one based off of how he was interpreted in TFU. In other words, Kylo is requesting that someone make another Luke but instead of using ROTJ as a reference, the modeler would use the TFU player model as a reference instead. Maybe even port it or something, but I know that can't really be endorsed too heavily here. Dunno if there actually was any lack of clarity as to what was being requested or not, but if there was I hope that clears it up. Not to mention I'd wanna see this Luke in JKA myself.

Episode 7 Character Voices
DarkForcesII replied to Daedra's topic in Star Wars Franchise Discussions
I know how you feel. I was expecting more...I dunno, Vader. It's a cold and kinda creepy voice and it's good in its own right, but it isn't what I was hoping it would be. -
Welcome! Glad to see you'll be around! Definitely remember your name from reviews and maps and other stuff and I'm quite pleasantly surprised to see you now part of this site.

Xeby's - Kylo Ren - Unstable Saber (S.W. EP.7)
DarkForcesII commented on Xeby's file in Lightsabers & Melee
I have the Clone Wars effects mod and the Ultimate Weapons mod installed and when i type in the sith_unstable code Ashura's hilt comes out but the saber is a regular orange. Am I missing files or are those other two mods conflicting? Other than that I like how the blade looks a lot, just wish I could get it to work properly atm.- 46 comments

Here's a picture that leaked of Finn's figure from the Black Series, might help later on. (I'm aware it's mostly the same as the other post with this outfit but any reference photo might help, I'm thinking.)

I actually never thought of that possibility. I was thinking that this Battlefront might have some sort of DLC plan in place where it just becomes THE Star Wars battle game and eventually Episode VII content gets added beyond the Battle of Jakku, then Episode VIII, then IX, and somewhere on the way they'd release a Clone Wars DLC.

I'm assuming there's gotta be a regular rebel soldier model where the bodies for the Sullustan and Rodian came from, right? Is there anyway I could get a link to that? Sorry if it's a nub question

It's kinda funny to go through all of the early complaints about this game and then look at all that's been announced since that first trailer and see the moments a lot of people went "oh, well never mind then, that's pretty cool." However, the two things that I see remaining constant with complaints is the lack of space battles and prequel content. In regards to space battles: the best and most exciting part about the space battles was the dogfighting. Chasing down other ships, evading missiles, evasive manuevers, all that jazz. I'm not discrediting the capital ship aspects, though. It was still fun! It made you feel like you were doing something important when you'd take out a ship's engines and sometimes board the ship and take it apart from the inside. Now, considering Battlefront 2015 is a reboot for a more modern audience, would this kind of gameplay hold up and stand out from the rest of the game? The dogfights would be absolutely phenomenal with all these fancy graphical effects and whatnot. But let's say players opt more to end the match quicker by destroying the enemy capital ship's systems. Sure you could chip away at the ship's shields with proton torpedoes, but the quickest way to take out the ship would be to land in the hangar with a landing craft, send a bunch of pilots with time bombs into the different rooms and blow stuff up. Here's the thing, though- you're on the ground. I mean, you're in space on a capital ship, but you're on the ground. Fighting as infantry. That kind of defeats the purpose of space battles being their own mode if you're going to be fighting the same way you would in conquest. That's why I think EA chose not to include space battles and instead change it to Fighter Squadron. Dogfights only! It helps the mode stand out from the others because it's strictly vehicular combat as opposed to how the old space battles worked where the infantry combat was still an option. I think they're going to have more than enough modes for infantry combat situations, so this mode will provide a change of pace should one look for it. Plus, the environments you'd see in atmospheric combat would be way cooler visually instead of the same space skybox with a different planet and a few capital ships spread out among them. Lack of prequel content? This is something that's really gonna differ between person to person. Some people have that infamous prequel hatred that would make them go "NO PREQUEL GOOD FOR ME BECAUSE NO JAR JAR SEE THIS ORIGINAL JOKE I'M MAKING ABOUT HATING JAR JAR" and others would see this as a missed opportunity to recreate battles from the CW animated series. Others might not care. Personally, I would like to see Clone Wars content, but it doesn't make me want this game any less than I do. I think the game is trying to really cash in (ha ha is that an EA joke) on everyone's nostalgia for the original films since that's what a lot of people grew up with. The OT is also what more casual, less "involved" Star Wars fans are familiar with as well. We all (probably) have at least one friend who's seen the original three when they were younger but not the prequels. This OT-centric path DICE has gone down could be a choice they made so that anyone who has so much as an inkling of Star Wars knowledge can pick up the game and play it and say, "I got to be a stormtrooper!" Not as many people would immediately know what you'd mean when you say, "Yeah, I took out the Trade Federation" as much as they would when you said "Yeah, I took down the Empire!" The accessibility for all is what I think made them choose OT only. tl;dr: Space battles like orignal BFII wouldn't stand out from other game modes in Battlefront 2015 and make it seem a bit less fun/varied, prequel content was cut to make the game more universally accessible with familiar locations and classic, culturally signficant characters

I know this is like...super far into the future but would you add the SP replacement files like what you did with your ROTJ troopers? And would there be "dirty" variants of the trooper?

Hi! So I've been wondering...with the whole EU being rewritten, I wanna know if the game Star Wars Bounty Hunter is canon. Cause in the game, a Krayt dragon kills Gardulla the Hutt, but she is present in the CW animated series. Also in one of the footnotes of the "Bounty Hunter Code" book released recently, Boba writes he is going to ask "Roz" about something. Rozzatta the Toydarian was a character from the Bounty Hunter game and she kinda...doesn't make it. But the way Boba mentions her, I'm assuming this is supposed to be the same Roz since she was good friends with Jango and even gave him the idea to adopt a son. The game also shows Jango meeting Dooku.(or as he knows him, Tyranus) This is also something that I question cause Jango specifically mentions this meeting in episode 2. So is the game canon or not? Does anyone have a definitive answer?
