I'm sure they learned from their mistake and will deliver some good content this time. I'm shocked that they're focusing on the new movies so soon though. Episode IX wont be out before the sequel is out, so are they just going to make a new one for just that movie? I was hoping they'd do original trilogy first, prequels second, then a 3rd for the new trilogy. Makes more sense and makes it organized. And if they completely skip the prequels, I'll be pissed. The Clone War era is the one with the best war settings. Because it's a war. That's what Battlefront is supposed to focus on: war.

Probably not. We can't prove that's what's causing the issue. Apparently they decreased the allowed bandwidth recently, which is probably why this happened again. Still working with DB to figure it out.

The issue is due to Dropbox having a bandwidth limit, and we hit that limit. Generally we shouldn't really be hitting the limit unless people are going nuts and downloading ALL the files, or even doing it on purpose to be malicious. Either way, this is the third time it's happened, and usually takes awhile for things to go back to normal. Nah, it's actually not as bad as it used to be. I remember on FileFront, that requests forum was filled with random requests like this. The only difference is, there were dozens of good modelers and skinners taking up some of those requests. Now we only have a handful of people able to pull requests off. And yes, not picking on anyone in particular, this thread just made me point it out. I can split this convo to a new thread if you want @@KyleKatarn1995

Requests are what this section is for. If someone genuinely wants a silly model to use, fine. I've just seen so many people request things like this but don't even end up using it or even play the game anymore. They just request to request.

I'm just telling you guys why these strange requests don't get done. I'm not removing topics. I just want everyone to consider the work and time that has to be put into model requests.

Would you even use it? People would be like "oh that's funny" and probably never pay it attention again. It's silly to go out of your way to think of requests like this, because there are only a handful of people that can do them, and requires a lot of time and effort. That's not just directed at you, I've been seeing too many requests like that lately. If you don't actually plan on using the requested model, you probably shouldn't bother requesting it.

Why not just use a different Boba NPC? Unless you mean in the mission itself, which wouldn't make sense, since the mission states that he gets away.

I haven't noticed too many of those situations though, and when they do, the community almost always has the back of the one creating a model on their own. In fact, the amount of praise and appreciation in this community to legit modelers making legit models is 100:1 compared to those that port or even frankenstein/kitbash. People like DT, Ashura, Scerendo, Psyk0sith, etc. have shown that the community can make better looking models than ported models do, in most cases. I'd rather have Toshi's Luke than a port from BFII. It looks tons better. Those models aren't made for this engine, they won't look as good as when people make models for this game in mind. With all that said, sometimes people want a certain model in another game really bad, for some reason. With the lack of good modelers around, not every request gets fulfilled. And telling them to learn to model themselves is silly, in my opinion. You don't go to a mechanic asking them to fix your car and expect them to say "DO IT YOURSELF, I LEARNED, YOU CAN TOO!" - it doesn't make sense. Yes, maybe every few poor souls take up that demand and learn to model and end up really good at it, but it drives me nuts when people push that on requesters. But that hasn't been that much of a problem these days. Maybe that's because I shut it down when I see it? Who knows. Anyway...

Our porting policy is a bit looser than it was 3 years ago, yes. But it states that a file can't contain 100% ported content. If someone ports a head model from another game and puts it on Kyle's body, they must have done more than just that to qualify it as their own "mod" and most definitely have to state that the model is ported. It's the same thing with reskins of models that people didn't create. With that said, if you're just talking about threads that talk about ported content, then that's always been around and frankly I think it would be silly to shut down every mention of it. If that were the case then I'd have to shut this thread down! I understand that you'd be upset with people taking something that isn't their creation and claiming it as their own, but we can only do so much. We can't control what people do with their free time. Threads with ported content are watched closely. Files with ported content are scrutinized more than any other file that we get. That's why you don't see hardly any in the files section.

Just got around to catching up. Wow that finale was amazing! Loved the Malachor setting and seeing what I guess was the remnants of the Jedi Civil War? Looks like they're usin Kylo Ren's saber as inspired by the old Jedi saber designs of that time. Or so I assume. That was really cool to see. And I'm still not happy about Maul surviving Ep1 but it was cool how they brought him in on this episode. He definitely still has an agenda. Best part was Ahsoka, for sure. I've grown to love her character a lot since she was introduced in TCW.
