  1. It's because IP.Board is out of date by like 2 years, but the server and junk is top notch stuff. Perhaps @@Caelum could say smarter things than I though.
  2. Why is this being posted like it's news? We already knew that only the films and tv shows are canon. Plus a few books released since the Disney takeover. However, Bioware said in a recent interview that they work fairly closely with Lucasfilm/Disney now with their content they release for SWTOR. Also, Revan was ALMOST featured in Clone Wars. I think they're aware that there are some really good characters and plots in KOTOR and SWTOR (Revan, Malak, etc) and are probably going to continue to take what they want from them and make certain things canon. For example, they took Malachor from KOTOR and it's now featured in Rebels (from what I hear, I'm behind on the show). Anyway, I'm getting really tired of the constant "DISNEY RUINS EVERYTHING, I'LL MAKE STAR WARS WHAT I WANT IT TO BE" mumbo jumbo. It's getting really old. You're fine to think that way I guess, but stop being so dramatic about it. It's not going to change anything. Send Disney a letter if you want to do something about it.
  3. Exactly why we don't give people the option. You'd leave threads basically pointless and impossible to read, with missing posts throughout.
  4. Are there plans for an installer of some kind so it's all done for us? That would be amazing.
  5. Why not just look at the server browser? That's kind of the point of it. You don't need to manually connect to an IP unless it's hidden from the master server. Once you find servers you like to frequent, add them to your favorites list in the menu. Pretty straightforward.
  6. The option being there is a bug in the software. I've tried finding a way to fix it but can't quite find anything on our end. That button is there for staff usually, with much more options than just "delete" and for some reason it's showing it to normal members even though they don't have permissions to do so. It's a bug, not us teasing you. Also, my reasonings mentioned before are from past experiences. We actually tried giving users the ability to delete posts and threads for awhile and that happened. Also, people for some strange reason delete or request to delete their threads after their questions are answered. That's really frustrating to see as a member (on other forums and before i was staff) because what if other people want to see the answer to their problem or question or the steps taken to fix their issue, etc. There are better reasons to not give members this ability than to give them. And frankly, I have never been on a forum where users are able to delete their own posts or threads.
  7. Its perfectly fair. We should be aware of any topic or post removal of any kind. If you want a topic or post removed, PM a staff member and we'll get it taken care of, unless for some reason we prefer it to stay up (rare occasions). For example, if someone is attacking others, and we get reports of it, but the attacker removes all evidence of it before we can take a look, we're left to do nothing. You can already edit your posts, I think that's more than enough control over your content.
  8. Bumping request threads is always a problem I guess, but unless someone bumps a thread more than once or twice, I don't mind it. Saying it's unfair to others isn't really true. They can bump their thread too. I think we as staff have been good at making sure bumping doesn't get out of hand. If you see someone bumping like crazy, report it and we'll take a look.
  9. Do what you want, pal. I think the area where Han dies would be a great duel map, and feels like it would fit into JKA very well. Reminds me of the Imperial duel map, but much bigger. Rey's home would be cool as well though.
  10. Good thing is, Ashura is the one person here that would appreciate all the nitpicking in the end.
  11. Better to wait to see if they're featured in any other movie. Those reference pictures aren't enough to make any legit models.
  12. I think 2048 is the max for textures in JKA.
  13. Just follow Rich Diesal's mapping university and that will give you a great idea of how mapping is done. If you find that you enjoy it, move on to more complicated things, since it only covers very simple mapping steps. https://jkhub.org/mapping/richdiesal/richdiesal.htm
  14. Well if it works on an old build and not on a new one, isn't that a tiny bit helpful?
  15. Works fine for me.
  16. This might be my new favorite model when it's all finished. I love clone armor.
  17. Using the app seems a lot easier to me. Just copy and paste to same folder as base and voila.
  18. You bastard. So good at this. I was wondering if you'd ever get to it. Really excited for this! It will be great to compare your work to the old clone models.

    Checkin in

Welcome! Good to see you stop by.
  20. He said he did.
  21. He means the JKA app. He just uses the assets that are found inside the app and uses OpenJK.app.
  22. Why not use that older build I linked, since it seems to work, according to your video? I link to the version of JA++ that I use as well. Everything works for me no matter what server I join. I've stopped pointing people to OpenJK on Mac because of all this though. You want to just go back to using vanilla by using JKJALaunch.
  23. I can connect to JAWA fine with that old build. But I have JA++ installed. I'll have to test without it to see if I run into that issue as well.
  24. Are you able to join vanilla servers? Try joining de.jk3.in Are you using the JA+ client or just trying to join it with OpenJK?
  25. I think by "crappy" he meant as a person, not necessarily the quality of their mods. A person that takes other people's work without permission (and especially if they claim it as their own) are indeed that: crappy.
