  2. Welcome! Might be confusing to some people that your name is similar to @@DT85's but maybe thats just me.
  3. The easiest fix: rename my mod to have a bunch of Z's in the beginning of the name. i.e. zzzzzzzzzFixedSaberHilts.pk3. Basically you want it loaded AFTER the other mods. If you're using a hi-res hilt mod that replaces the hilt models, that's your issue then. You can't have 2 mods that replace the same thing. If they're Rooxon's hilts, they should already have this fixed. If not, maybe PM him and ask if he could.
  4. It looks pretty close to being done too. A shame.
  5. Probably not, but maybe try the process of elimination to see if they are. Remove all mods from your base except mine and see if it works then.
  6. What's wrong with this one? http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/Jedi%20Academy/Skins/Star%20Wars/84867/
  7. They should work, yes. Do you have a mod that changes the saber models? Something like that could be interfering.
  8. Early days in JK modding were great. Sure, we didn't have amazing, top notch models like today, but the mods and maps were great. I remember downloading my first mod ever for JKA on PCGM. It was Exar Kun's single hilt. Contacting the guy would be interesting. Could make a good interview.
  9. These sabers are pretty unique in design. I'm sure @@AshuraDX could knock them out in a few hours too.
  10. Well, mapping doesn't take that long to learn, but it takes awhile to get results that you'd want. If I was in the modding mood, I'd probably take this request up since it's a fairly small map. But probably won't happen.

    Bossk

Definitely looks better than the original. The SWTOR Trandoshans are great to use in this case. You made the model look a bit more realistic. Nice work. For people thinking it looks weird, compare to a picture of Bossk: I think some people see good looking Trandoshans and are so used to JKA's weird looking one that they think the accurate ones look weird.
  12. If he didn't get in legal trouble, then that blows my mind, for how popular it was. I wonder if part of why he didn't put it back up was to avoid the risk of that.
  13. Pretty sure they got a C&D or something similar. Can't remember the full story, it was so long ago. Maybe @@eezstreet remembers. I remember they had ports from a bunch of games, not just SW games. Halo, MTG, Final Fantasy, etc.
  14. That's not a backup of PCGameMods. GameFront had it's own thing. Those are the files that were from jk3files.com, which was hosted by FileFront/GameFront. PCGM was it's own site with many exclusive mods that you could only find there. They also allowed ports, which is why it shut down and no longer exists.
  15. I have my WIP Ilum map that's all indoor and very small still. And extremely dark. If that's of interest.
  16. Man, that brings back memories.
  17. There are a lot now, but if you don't like them then don't play them. I've really only played the SW ones so I'm perfectly happy with this new one. You can tell they've learned A LOT over the years of making them. It's crazy how complex it is compared to the original Lego Star Wars.

  19. Well we don't see enough of you anymore.
  20. You just made me realize it's Ord Mantell, same as the last background. That was by chance, obviously. This is based on a different map than the last one though. The last one was t3_bounty, this one is a duel map.
  21. People have been making maps in Radiant for years. It's not hard, it just takes motivation to learn how to use it to get what you want, just like any other program. I think the main reason people don't want to map anymore is because either everyone expects to see a modern-2016-looking map in this old old game, and either give critiques in that regard, OR the people learning to map expect to be able to make something like that, and simply can't. Getting JKA to look better is a good thing and all, but I'm always left asking if it's worth waiting for. I've heard so many modders leave because they're waiting for others to make JKA look like a modern game before they make any more content. It's silly to me. Just make content for the game as is, or move on to something else. (that turned into more of a rant than I wanted)
  22. We used to have an abundance of mappers throughout the community until the last few years. Now it's extremely rare to see any at all. This is one reason many mods are at a standstill because mods need maps and the mappers to create them. There are a few mods here that could really use some more mappers. • Jedi Knight: Enhanced is one, especially for the JKA side. We were wanting to create a couple more missions for this project. • The Dark Forces 2 mod was really needing some mappers, as that's it's main focus, to recreate those levels from the game. • The Star Wars Saga mod (my personal favorite and nearly dead project) really needs some mappers that are active to help me out with it. and a few others. As far as the community goes: it's 2016. Jk2 was released in 2002, JKA in 2003. It's a miracle there are any servers at all with people in them. But there are still a bunch that have fairly constant activity. And they have to be really picky these days with what maps they use, because if a new player tries to connect while they're on a custom map, then that's one less prospective recruit for their clan, or frequent visitor. Some clans and groups still use them, but it's when a lot of members are online for an event or just wanting to mess around in other maps. My clan usually played on custom maps more than base ones, but we also weren't too focused on recruiting or inviting new players.
