Well that's news to me. I can't believe I never noticed, since I'm on here from mobile 80% of the time.
-
Can you make those bullet points? Looks like a wall of text, at least on mobile.

Why not just use a different Boba NPC? Unless you mean in the mission itself, which wouldn't make sense, since the mission states that he gets away.

I haven't noticed too many of those situations though, and when they do, the community almost always has the back of the one creating a model on their own. In fact, the amount of praise and appreciation in this community to legit modelers making legit models is 100:1 compared to those that port or even frankenstein/kitbash. People like DT, Ashura, Scerendo, Psyk0sith, etc. have shown that the community can make better looking models than ported models do, in most cases. I'd rather have Toshi's Luke than a port from BFII. It looks tons better. Those models aren't made for this engine, they won't look as good as when people make models for this game in mind. With all that said, sometimes people want a certain model in another game really bad, for some reason. With the lack of good modelers around, not every request gets fulfilled. And telling them to learn to model themselves is silly, in my opinion. You don't go to a mechanic asking them to fix your car and expect them to say "DO IT YOURSELF, I LEARNED, YOU CAN TOO!" - it doesn't make sense. Yes, maybe every few poor souls take up that demand and learn to model and end up really good at it, but it drives me nuts when people push that on requesters. But that hasn't been that much of a problem these days. Maybe that's because I shut it down when I see it? Who knows. Anyway...

Our porting policy is a bit looser than it was 3 years ago, yes. But it states that a file can't contain 100% ported content. If someone ports a head model from another game and puts it on Kyle's body, they must have done more than just that to qualify it as their own "mod" and most definitely have to state that the model is ported. It's the same thing with reskins of models that people didn't create. With that said, if you're just talking about threads that talk about ported content, then that's always been around and frankly I think it would be silly to shut down every mention of it. If that were the case then I'd have to shut this thread down! I understand that you'd be upset with people taking something that isn't their creation and claiming it as their own, but we can only do so much. We can't control what people do with their free time. Threads with ported content are watched closely. Files with ported content are scrutinized more than any other file that we get. That's why you don't see hardly any in the files section.

Can you give an example of the ported content you're referring to?

Just got around to catching up. Wow that finale was amazing! Loved the Malachor setting and seeing what I guess was the remnants of the Jedi Civil War? Looks like they're usin Kylo Ren's saber as inspired by the old Jedi saber designs of that time. Or so I assume. That was really cool to see. And I'm still not happy about Maul surviving Ep1 but it was cool how they brought him in on this episode. He definitely still has an agenda. Best part was Ahsoka, for sure. I've grown to love her character a lot since she was introduced in TCW.

That Rebels finale tho! Wow.

Why would the Raven's Claw be inside of the Ebon Hawk? Edit: didn't explain here, I forgot. T3 is a partition of the Ebon Hawk. Star Destroyer is a partition of Death Star II.

First Person Lightsaber Mod Request

That's for SP though, which JKE is what you'd want for that. He's asking for MP. -
First Person Lightsaber Mod Request

You're going to want to figure out why it's crashing, because it's the only mod that has it. Just post in the JA++ forum for help with that. -
Is it me or did she say her name was "Jan Ors, sir" and does that other guy look like Kyle? IMDB lists her name as Jyn Erso but I wonder if that's confirmed. EDIT: listened to it over and over with headphones and I'm wrong.

Each of Barricade's critiques have me like: But in a good way. Bottom line, he's the resident clone expert by far.

Nah, it happens for everyone. And it's been happening for a couple years now.

It's because IP.Board is out of date by like 2 years, but the server and junk is top notch stuff. Perhaps @@Caelum could say smarter things than I though.

Why is this being posted like it's news? We already knew that only the films and tv shows are canon. Plus a few books released since the Disney takeover. However, Bioware said in a recent interview that they work fairly closely with Lucasfilm/Disney now with their content they release for SWTOR. Also, Revan was ALMOST featured in Clone Wars. I think they're aware that there are some really good characters and plots in KOTOR and SWTOR (Revan, Malak, etc) and are probably going to continue to take what they want from them and make certain things canon. For example, they took Malachor from KOTOR and it's now featured in Rebels (from what I hear, I'm behind on the show). Anyway, I'm getting really tired of the constant "DISNEY RUINS EVERYTHING, I'LL MAKE STAR WARS WHAT I WANT IT TO BE" mumbo jumbo. It's getting really old. You're fine to think that way I guess, but stop being so dramatic about it. It's not going to change anything. Send Disney a letter if you want to do something about it.

Exactly why we don't give people the option. You'd leave threads basically pointless and impossible to read, with missing posts throughout.

Are there plans for an installer of some kind so it's all done for us? That would be amazing.

How to get started with playing online?
Circa replied to BruceJohnJenner's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
Why not just look at the server browser? That's kind of the point of it. You don't need to manually connect to an IP unless it's hidden from the master server. Once you find servers you like to frequent, add them to your favorites list in the menu. Pretty straightforward. -
The option being there is a bug in the software. I've tried finding a way to fix it but can't quite find anything on our end. That button is there for staff usually, with much more options than just "delete" and for some reason it's showing it to normal members even though they don't have permissions to do so. It's a bug, not us teasing you. Also, my reasonings mentioned before are from past experiences. We actually tried giving users the ability to delete posts and threads for awhile and that happened. Also, people for some strange reason delete or request to delete their threads after their questions are answered. That's really frustrating to see as a member (on other forums and before i was staff) because what if other people want to see the answer to their problem or question or the steps taken to fix their issue, etc. There are better reasons to not give members this ability than to give them. And frankly, I have never been on a forum where users are able to delete their own posts or threads.
-
Its perfectly fair. We should be aware of any topic or post removal of any kind. If you want a topic or post removed, PM a staff member and we'll get it taken care of, unless for some reason we prefer it to stay up (rare occasions). For example, if someone is attacking others, and we get reports of it, but the attacker removes all evidence of it before we can take a look, we're left to do nothing. You can already edit your posts, I think that's more than enough control over your content.

Bumping request threads is always a problem I guess, but unless someone bumps a thread more than once or twice, I don't mind it. Saying it's unfair to others isn't really true. They can bump their thread too. I think we as staff have been good at making sure bumping doesn't get out of hand. If you see someone bumping like crazy, report it and we'll take a look.
