Based on a test I am planning on doing, this is pretty impressive, but I'll get to the meat of this review. Pros: Gorgeous Detail Custom Music The concept itself The awareness of it's features Cons: The bot tends to off themselves, no offense Overall. You get a 5/5 from me, despite my one knock against this map.

Based on my test, I'd say this is easily one of my favorite duel maps. Pros: Attention to Detail Makes sense given it's setting Music used Materials used Short but to the point Cons: Maybe a little bit claustrophobic Overall, despite the one con, I have to say that this is easily a perfect 5/5 stars. Make sure to keep on devving.

The Dash Rendar Lightsaber is now out. I now am also proud to announce the release of Hud Icons for a mod by @AshuraDX. And I want to inform everyone of a project I had been secretly working on, I'm sorry for absolute secrecy behind this one, but ever wonder what it'd possibly be like if Kyle Katarn from Spirits of the Force would look like in Jedi Academy? I'm holding off on releasing this mod due to it's... Way to simplistic detailing. I assembled most of the new textures in GIMP then compressed them using Paint dot net. I will not be taking all the credit for this one, this model has textures made by @MagSul, @Kalek, @Joshua, @GPChannel, Infinity Blade, and plenty more. The icon was made by JC of the Spirits of the Force series of Fan Films. This reskin will be exclusive to Google Drive unless otherwise. I want to thank everyone for supporting my files, and/or files I contribute to. It really makes me happy! I also have worked on an answer to a question that might be bothering some people. "Where is the holster on Vanilla Kyle?" Well, I want to let you all know that I have my own response to aforementioned question, but I won't release it here, not until I get permission to release it here. Two new NPCs for my Students NPC pack have been submitted, but I forgot the screenshots. IMPORTANT: There is a bug with the Student_NM on my end, one of his saber blades malfunctions. 5 new meshes are in the works. 4 of these sabers already exist (Aeryn, Aria, Emerald Knight and Sniper) while 1 is my own creation (Brave) [KYLE SOTF UPDATE!] The skin is finally semi-finalized. For anyone who has preferred past versions. I want to apologize, but this time, I promise to make this one the near final release. The Skin is available on my Google Drive, completely independent of JKHub. And it may not see a release here until I am confident in it. [SNIPER UPDATE] I have also successfully, in my own terms, finished my remake mesh of HOUOU's Sniper Hilt, now I just need to get textures for it. [KYLE RESKIN UPDATE] Hopefully I am doing the right thing in crediting the sources behind this reskin. But it is now... Finished I guess. And now you can download the skin file here. [SNIPER REMASTER UPDATE] Finally got the hilt finalized. But I may attach the pictures into a zip file and link to it from my drive, if that's okay with you. Here's the link! [BRAVE UPDATE] I want to thank @Droidy365 for supplying me with the textures needed to make the rough draft for the saber I dubbed "Brave" I tested it out in game, and it works phenomenally. I want to seek out a tweaker, but there's gonna need to be shaders first. Thank you. [SNIPER UPDATE!] It's finally nearly finished, but I need to convince someone to make some final textures and UV maps for it. I also have a random Kitbash project in the works for Kyle Katarn, but there is going to have to be some kind of alert for @NumberWan and @GPChannel about what I'm doing for this kitbash project, and before anyone asks "Will base textures be included?" The answer is a swift "NO." In the mean time, enjoy the following.

Version 1.2

Based on a picture seen in an Imgur Gallery that was linked on Reddit, I decided to create this mesh at long last. And before anyone asks. I made this to keep everyone, including Gumegguai, in mind. (I sent this file here to keep him and all of you in mind.) The originaI did some testing of this in Movie Duels and Vanilla JA using OpenJK and it works fine. This is going smoothly. I think if a v2.0 is on the horizon, it could have these features. -

The sounds now match the iconic sound design featured in the Battlefront game, offering a fresh and immersive experience for your Jedi Academy or Jedi Outcast gameplay. Additionally, compatibility patches are included for the Star Wars Galactic Legacy mod and Movie Duels, allowing you to use these sounds seamlessly with those mods. Installation Instructions: 1. For Jedi Outcast: - Unzip the `zzzk16bryarpistolsounds.pk3` file into the GameData/Base folder of your Jedi Outcast installation. 2. For Jedi Academy (Optional Patches): - If you want to use the Movie Duels patch, unzip the `zzzk16bryarpistolsounds_md.pk3` file into the GameData/MD folder of your Jedi Outcast installation. - If you want to use the Star Wars Galactic Legacy patch, unzip the `zzzk16bryarpistolsounds_swgl.pk3` file into the GameData/SWGL folder of your Jedi Academy installation. Credits: - Galactic Legacy: Linken - Movie Duels: DT85, GPChannel, Movie Duels Team, Tompa9 - Sounds: EA & DICE (from Star Wars Battlefront (2016)) -
I think judging by the screenshots, this is a pretty good model, I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to test this model out, and give a proper review when I am done. But it'll be a different kind of review, it'll be a comment update. [UPDATE] Gotta say, I like this model, my only nitpick is with the NPC file, but it's a fixable nitpick, I know, but I will say, this is worth the download. I have nothing else to say. A+

How to edit your NPCs into wielding whatever weapon you want
SpeedyJDFox95 commented on SpeedyJDFox95's tutorial in General Modding
I think that even though it would be cool to give Boba Fett this kind of concept, it's just not fun to be opening those gates and going into a rabbit hole. So, I will, in a sense agree that these files shouldn't be released, only if it's with your own assets can it come to fruition. I hope you all understand coming from me. -
How to edit your NPCs into wielding whatever weapon you want
SpeedyJDFox95 posted a tutorial in General Modding
@Bart gave me a good idea for this, so I thought to myself. Why not replace a rejected file that was too easy to make with this little tutorial. So, with that. Let's go into Step 1. Step 1. Open up your note editor of choice. For me it's Notepad. And in this example, we're gonna use "boba_fett.npc". Use the file corresponding to the NPC you want modified, obviously. You should extract the file and put it into a separate PK3 if the file resides in assets*.pk3 file. Refer to this tutorial if you don't know how to tinker with NPC files yet: Step 2 is where we remove "altFire 1" and rename this NPC. Step 3 is where we insert the "WP_SABER" and the hilt you want, while adding in a selected color and a Saber Style. In the case of this tutorial, we are gonna use "dual_5" as our saber, "green" as our saber color, and "7" as our saber style. You may want to test this out in-game before you go about tinkering with your version. Here's a screenshot to prove this is too easy. I figured I'd do this instead of release the NPC file. -
For a start, this is... A 5/5.

This mod provides an optional font for use in Jedi Academy or Jedi Outcast, based on a font I frequently use. Feel free to install it if you want to customize your game’s appearance and experience. Installation: To install, simply place this file in your "GameData/base" folder within your Jedi Academy or Jedi Outcast directory. Credits: - STAR WARS: Disney/Lucasfilm - Font: Typodermic Fonts - STAR WARS JEDI KNIGHT JEDI OUTCAST & STAR WARS JEDI KNIGHT JEDI ACADEMY: LucasArts, Raven Software - JAFont 0.0.3: anti2 Additional Notes: - Screenshot: The screenshot used for this font was taken in Movie Duels. - I’d like to thank the staff for moving this file to the proper category.
