  1. Oh, I know exactly where that's from.

Over here in the UK, one of the big television platforms is Sky TV. They have a bunch of themed "Sky Movie" channels ("Sky Movies Comedy", "Sky Movies Romance" etc) and this came from a promotional ad they ran for a dedicated "Sky Movies Star Wars" channel they launched back when Force Awakens came out.

I don't know if it still exists or if they just put it up seasonally whenever a new movie is coming out, but I remember at the time thinking it was a really well-made ad considering it was for a cable channel that would be running the same 6 decades-old movies on a loop.

    EDIT: Found a link -

  2. To be fair, the "time travel" seems limited and of the 'closed loop' variety which I'm less worried about (though I would rather they stayed away from that entirely).

What I mean by that is that nothing suggests what Ezra did during the Ahsoka-Vader fight was actually any different to what had always happened.

We know from the original Season 2 finale that A) Ahsoka is last seen fighting Vader, B) Vader walks away alone and C) Ahsoka is glimpsed disappearing into the ruins. Showing that Ezra did what he did in interfering via the portals doesn't mean he actually changed anything, but rather him doing so was always how we got from A to C.

This is why Ezra could not save Kanan - when Kanan died, Ezra had already made the decision not to save him. Closed loop.

Likewise, the Emperor says he wants the power to visit and change these pathways but we already know he doesn't get it because otherwise the past would already be different to what we have seen. Palpatine himself doesn't understand that the power he is seeking is truly beyond his grasp or else he would have already benefited from it.

If we saw someone go back through the portals to, say, stop Alderaan from being blown up then that would be a different story since it would be a case of them actually changing the course of events rather than the portal simply being part of the course of events.

Ugh, does that make sense? Even talking about time travel stuff makes my head hurt.

  3. Thanks for your replies! :)

I have already linked it back to the hips, as you can see in the second screenshot. It is parented to hips_0, and, I double checked, this is the correct name for the parent.

The error remains (89 surfaces, but 90 of them are connected).

Did you also confirm there are no duplicated names in either the Object, Object Data or Ghoul 2 boxes? The last one catches out a lot of people.

  4. Yep, as Ashura says it needs to be inserted into the hierarchy. Under the Object tab, there should be a 'parent' box. If you click on the head, for example, this will say it is parented to the torso. In a newly separated mesh this will be blank.

EDIT: Upon seeing Pic 2, it just occurred to me to make sure you have renamed the new surface correctly in the .GLM exporter settings (scroll down on the Object tab currently open in Pic 2). Also check that you have renamed it correctly in the Object Data (not the same as the Object tab in Pic 2) tab.

One note - when "slicing and dicing" away parts of a model this can lead to further issues during export but we'll see what happens when you try to export it with the correct hierarchy first.

  5. Head-swaps might be possible, but full blown conversions to KOTOR are unlikely.

For the texture conversion you could do that yourself fairly simply with a free software like GIMP, should allow you to open the texture files in their current .jpeg / .png and resave them as .tga

  6. Decided to do some googling and look up skin variants I can get. Once I have the regular texture down on it, different paint jobs will be easy cake sauce so I can literally do hundreds of them. But here's my initial skin list of things I want to see:

If you guys have any skin requests I'll throw them in there too because the more the merrier right? There's no limit on skin files as far as I know

Once you have the base model/texture done I'd be happy to help out with making some of the skin variants.

  7. I can sort of see Iain Glen as Jerec, though personally I think he would be better suited for Morgan Katarn. I could see a slightly younger Bill Nighy doing the role of Jerec justice.

Kristen Bell and Joe Dempsie as Sariss and Yun? Have to respectfully disagree with OP on those  :P

    Additional cast suggestions:

    Qu Rahn - Jeffrey Wright

    Tavion - Eva Green

    Admiral Fyarr - Kevin Eldon

  8. Seeing as @@Kualan made one a sort of psychiatrist, I'd say that it's possible.

Hey, nice to see a Tales shout-out!  :D

To address OP's point, I would say Jedi are encouraged to use their powers as a form of therapy to help those in need. I don't know that they would agree with the morality of using mind tricks to achieve these aims though - they are effectively "tricking" the patient into believing they are well instead of helping them reach that place of healing of their own volition.
