  1. I would say the new ones. They have this modern style, which blends in well with the menu.
  2. Whatever the reason was, it looked awkward sometimes. I would simply put it down to lazy texturing (which is contradictory, considering how much work has been already done on that texture). Maybe the texture artists thought that nobody would care about this "flaw". They probably never thought that one day, a modding community would rise to fix something like this.
  3. 385 downloads

Just a simple fix for those who are annoyed about Kyles dark armpits. It also supports team colors. Installation: Simply put the pk3 file in the gamedata/base folder of your Jedi Academy directory. It should work for Jedi Outcast as well.

This mod replaces the flags of the Capture The Flag mode. Depending on which pk3 you choose, you can either have prequel flags (Republic and CIS) or the sequel flags (Resistance and First Order). Each flag has a unique color pattern, to make them different from the base flags from Jedi Academy. I've also planned more flags, which I might include in another version. Installation: Simply put one of the pk3 files in the gamedata/base folder of your Jedi Academy directory.
  5. @ The easiest solution: Ask someone of he or she can edit the cape out from the model. We have many members here who know how to do that. So why port it from another game? And regarding the porting thing, there is a debate going on lately. Maybe you should take a look at it. https://jkhub.org/topic/9635-our-ports-policy-is-so-bad/
  6. The thing is that you can't tell him apart from the other Neo-Crusaders. If he would have something unique, a distinct feature that makes him stand out from the rest, than it could be worth. The only way you could get close to the character is using the golden Neo-Crusader, name yourself Bendak Starkiller in the multiplayer mode and just pretend that it is him.
  7. It's Knives Chau from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (based on a comic), and she's played by Ellen Wong. It's a great movie.
  8. So many high quality maps recently. It's like 2005 all over again.

I'll say. Not only is Knights of the Force 2.1 showing off some great maps and even some thought lost, but the individual maps coming out just blow me away.

That's right. Especially the Starkiller Base reminds me of Sith-J-Cull's works, who really made some awesome movie based maps.

  9. Looks amazing. In some parts, it reminds me of the Sevastopol station from Alien: Isolation.
  10. @@TheWhitePhoenix Does the Lambda Shuttle appear as a model or a block in the editor? If it appears as a model, just do the same thing I said about the blocks.
  11. Except for some failed attempts to get it work on my more modern PC, it's been years since I used Radiant, so I can't guarantee a 100% perfect answer. So, if you want to remove vehicles, you have to remove the blocks that represent the vehicles (the blocks are like visual stand-ins for the models you see in the game; they are usually red and for both NPCs and vehicles). Try to locate the vehicle, select it and remove it. I think you have to use either STRG + Left Mouse Button or Toggle + Left Mouse Button (or was it the right button?) to select something. Once you've selected the vehicle you want to remove, press backspace.
  12. @@Tompa9 It's not. It's just a fan-art. I can't count how much it has been already posted it on this forum.

    New Hazardtroopers

Small mod, big effect. The black versions of the Hazardtroopers look awesome.

  15. Maybe @@Asgarath83 or @@MGummelt can help?
  16. Maybe something like Star Wars Starfighter has? It's simple and similar to the HUD from Jedi Academy.

Pretty good start. Reminds me of those reskins from the early days of JK2 modding, when not everyone was taking reskinning too seriously.
  18. @@Asgarath83 Can you make a video of your what you've done so far? It's not just for curiosity, but it could be also helpful for other modders, so they can help you if you need support.
  19. I haven't read this topic from start to finish, but to me the concept is pretty clear: Getting actual dogfights working in Jedi Academy. I don't expect anything like Rogue Squadron or X-Wing Alliance, but at least something that is close to Pandemic's Battlefront 2, which had a decent flight control. Whatever the results will be, I hope it will become something fun to play.
  20. One example of a modern Dark Forces 2 mod is TODOA, which can be found on ModDB. Never played it, but the graphics are insane for Dark Forces 2 standards. I mean, look at this: On top of that, they used some models made for Jedi Academy/Outcast. Because of mods like that one, I don't see a reason why we shouldn't have Dark Forces/Dark Forces 2 mods featured here. So many Dark Forces related sites have been closed or abandoned. If JKHub will be upgraded one day, we should look out for Jedi Knight modders and invite them here.
  21. I'm all for an JKHub upgrade, to make it possible for anyone to upload mods for the classic Jedi Knight games. After all, this site is called Jedi Knight Hub, so why shouldn't there be room for the previous games of the franchise? And the forum doesn't even need to be upgraded for that. We have a Jedi Knight Modding section, which can be used for the classic games as well.
  22. @@jblanc03 First of all, welcome to JKHub, the home for Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast mods. We don't offer any mods for the old Jedi Knight games, and we don't have an official forum section for these games. But I can still help you with that. Do you mean this? http://www.lonebullet.com/mods/download-jedi-knight-patch-commander-star-wars-jedi-knight-dark-forces-2-mod-free-17745.htm
  23. @@Linken Just a suggestion for your videos: Assign the commands d_npcfreeze 1 and d_npcfreeze 0 to two keys with the bind command (e.g bind d_npcfreeze 1). That way, you get a pause and play button without using the console.
