  1. Wow, this is some seriously fascinating stuff written in here. I used to try and prove dual sabers could also be good. These past few weeks I found out a single saber might be better.. but still. I like to be different. A shame JKA Multiplayer is more or less dead now.
  2. Lowered the resolution to 1k (1024x1024px) for the 1.1 version, I drew additional texture specifics to the texture, added the bent normal map trick, fixed my layer stacking and re-did the bakes. After which I took some more time to fix up the diffuse and specular maps completely. Now the texture looks nicer but nothing like the faulty one from 1.0! Did the same for The Outcast with some additional model tweaking to lower the face count a bit!
  3. True, I have never even seen this saber before I knew there were differences but wow.
  4. I can get you a menu editor and a texturer (me). AshuraDX is far better than me at this point but I'm trying my best as well!
  5. Please, go to my topic discussion. For now, you can find all the info about my project in the first post, as well as the fact, that i'm doing literally recreations of the game's original models. To give you a better example, this is my reference: About your ideas: with the new movies coming out, I may update this with additional texture options or even model and texture variations, old&new movies alike. My decision will also depend on whether people want this or not.
  6. Of course I CAN but if I will is another story... I'll need to check JKHub a bit, if I see a good version already, I probably won't take my time as I really wanna fulfill requested wishes and my own project.

  8. Very nice! This will be in my base from now on, didn't even know it existed.
  9. I clicked "Other" because I always liked to make the first rancor stage into a boss fight. He respawns each time you kill him and I just LOVED using force speed and slashing him up quickly, then try my best to get away from him and do it all again.
  10. Hey just wanted to say that CamSP isn't compatible with JK:Enhanced. Namely, an error pops up saying it can't find the CamSP menu, even though i've installed it the same way as on the base JKA. Strange, I tried to fix this myself but didn't succeed.
  11. Yes, I did. Well, compare the quality of these two hilts released now with the hilts from those packs and you'll quickly realize why I restarted the project. Rather than working on fixing those shabby models, I can just do them a lot better from scratch, with better face savings, positions, better topology etc. What's more, some were pretty subjective! I mean, I made them like I wanted to make them so they weren't recreations in the true sense of the word. At that point I was drawing on the UV map from a sheer new file in Photoshop and used nothing else than brushes and filters to make my textures. Now I bake the base textures, add material properties to the model in Substance Painter, adding details in Photoshop and Painter as well a little bit, then finally combine it all together in Photoshop into a diffusion and specular map for JKA. The models to-come will leave the old packs in a big, black shadow! Also, I'll take the old ones down once I finish the new packs! Check my topic for more info!
  12. Yes, this is probably happening because the model uses more than one blade tag. I'll see what I can do about it but I can't promise anything!
  13. Forget about these packs, they're old versions and will stay online only until I finish the new weapons with guns included!
  14. Can I ask for your help then, please? I wanna copy the content of the first post to the new topic and once I'm done, I'd like to ask you to delete this one, but there's one more problem... most of my submitted mods have this link for their support thread put in. So if we change it, I'd need to edit all of those submitions! :S that seems kind of a drag...
  15. The 1.0 version is on it's way, just making a few more tests!

DESCRIPTION: The Stinger, also known as Reborn lightsaber. A model-replacement mod for JKA! So this is it, the 1.1 version (See changes in the changelog) New, pretty low-poly model (270 faces 276 vertices) with new textures! - Baked in xNormal - Textured in Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop - Modeled in 3D Studio Max 2016 BUGS: The blade tag could be a bit lower, I think. Will fix for the full version! COMMENTS: May the Force be with you! 17. Let's just say, we all want to see things done for JKA. So, my priorities are as such: First off, I want to concentrate on my own project but in between, there's been some VERY interesting saber requests as of late. I might be doing and releasing some of them, but please, take a look at my WeaponsHD thread. As I stated there, I work with things very differently now than I did before. I will need to feel at least somewhat happy with my creation to release it, and if it's too much for me at this point, I'll learn some more and do it later. With that being said, in short, I just wanna say there's no hierarchy. I'll do what I feel like to do, but in any case, I'll be doing just the things requested or related to my project. In random selection! But, once I finish most of the things posted as of now, I'll stop doing mods since I have too many things going on in real life. I'll hang around, JKA has always had and will have a special spot in my heart. Just don't expect too much! I'll try my best, but really, don't expect too much. I haven't got a lot of free time at all, let alone motivation to use it for modding.
  18. Thank you for your kind words! Yes, I do work on doing better and better-looking things. You're correct, sir ShadowPhoenix.
  19. Take a look at the first post, if you will. Just shouting this out to everyone out there! I restarted this project since I hate my mods from before. With better skills new levels of beauty appear and that's that, in short! I can work a lot better in Max now, too and not using just max anymore but basically, almost everything is still done in 3D Studio Max 2016.

Kyle's saber Lowpoly by Rooxon on Sketchfab QUICK SUMMARY: This is just the first of many! A new Outcast replacement (Kyle's Lightsaber) is coming your way and it's coming fast! INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Copy and paste the r_hrko.pk3 from this zip file to your "base" folder, the default path is "C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/Game data/Base". Additionaly, if you want to replace The Arbiter (single_1) with this Outcast, copy over the r_hrko_sp.pk3 file as well! DESCRIPTION: Once more and for the final time. I tackle my project in hopes of completing it with quality and quantity as well, since I won't be doing only sabers anymore but guns as well! Starting with the most iconic hilt of them all! New, pretty high-poly model (705 faces, 749 vertices) with new textures! New shader textures as well, but the shader alone is untouched (not even in the download package, it uses the vanilla one). - Baked in xNormal - Textured in Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop - Modeled in 3D Studio Max 2016 The model is far from perfect in terms of a few topology issues on the base and n-gons. I had no choice but to keep it this way, since Substance Painter didn't want to work correctly otherwise and working around this issue by exporting the fine model for substance, then trying to fix it in Max but not messing with the UVs seemed like too much of a drag. I may try to work on this at some later point! BUGS: None that I noticed, but if you did, leave a message describing it and what you were doing in the comment section! COMMENTS: This is the first saber I managed to get done so far in 3 days' time. Taking that into account, I schould be done with all weapons by the end of this year, at which point I'll upload the whole package to moddb.com and host it via my dropbox for JKHub as well! May the Force be with you...Always! 21. Kualan, if you make any more comics, please use "pipipipiu" for gun firing instead of pow pow because the guns in SW really do sound like "pipipipiu" to me

    High-res Kyle Katarn

Sorry if it bothers you, but when I was playing with these textures, I kinda had in mind I wanted to take his original clothing and just make it slightly different from those in JKO, so that it made me feel like he's advanced a bit, like some time passed at all. But yes, OH YES! These damn armpits. I'd probably need to redraw his top clothes from scratch to make it look really good.

Let's not make this complicated. A resolution stretch, some filters and a slight saturation boost have been added to the original Kyle's textures. Slight sharpening here and there and some darkenings, but that's about it. Features: -REWORKED default textures -REWORKED team-color textures -REWORKED icons I'm still thinking about ways of doing better high-res refilterings on original textures but again, I was playing with this skin for a while now and wanted to share it for anyone who'd like to use it. Little teaser: In the future I'm going to continue where I left off with my mods before, just to finish them. After that I probably won't be doing mods anymore. Might even pack this all up with character refilterings + their weapons packs (seems like a nice, new idea). ANYONE CAN USE THIS FOR THEIR OWN WORK WITHOUT ASKING FOR MY PERMISSION! Have fun!
  24. Well I dont have much time anymore to do any mods at all. Or motivation, mostly. I'll resume and first finish what i started then i'll see if i continue to continue doing mods. EDIT: I'm back. Kinda. Now what I'm wondering about is if you people from the community still find this problem about the blades being detached, because for this last update I worked with the original files. This means the blades SHOULD be practically on the same position as the ones in the original game. Please comment here about this!
  25. Sometimes when I look at mods here for the past year, I often see my ideas stuck to people, like HDing things and do their best to make good-quality mods. I'm happy about that to be honest, makes me feel like I started this and I download almost all of those mods to check them out.
