Including Lucasfilm should be enough, they are the licensors. I don't think you'd need to add every single name of every single mod author, but maybe just the main ones you see and then just say that there are other mods that you didn't create that are seen. I think that would be enough.

Made a hotfix for iOS for invisible text in input field.
    Check TestFlight for an update.

IMPORTANT: I hear all your suggestions, guys, but as I told earlier, some features require new UI and it's still in development. Be patient, please.
    Updated the app.

    For iOS users:
    Install TestFlight: https://apps.apple.com/app/testflight/id899247664
Then open that link on your iOS device: https://testflight.apple.com/join/5HSqhVHw
    For Android users:
    Install directly from APK: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptx301a1pas39n9/com.vlbor.jkchat.apk?dl=1
    Install from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vlbor.jkchat
    Added:
    - added recent servers that appear on top of the server list - added always displaying a dialog window for choosing nickname on app start - added "/rcon" command support - added a possibility to disconnect from server by clicking "Back" arrow on navigation bar
(clicking system "Back" button on Android or swiping left-to-right on iOS will just navigate you back to server list without disconnection) Fixed:
    - fixed displaying blank window on iOS 12 and lower
    - fixed never displaying server print messages on iOS 12 and lower
I also streamed the development of some features above recently (2 new recordings): https://www.twitch.tv/entdark/videos
After trying the application, please, leave a feedback of what you'd like see in the future. Yes, you can request any feature you want.
It's not necessarily to be only limited to chat, I could implement other game features. Probably everything is possible that doesn't require game assets.
Also if you encounter any error, then please report me either in the feedback form in TestFlight or in this JKHub post or in JKHub PM or on discord PM: ent#9404.
Report the error either by copying it or taking a screenshot and showing me or just telling the steps to reproduce.

I absolutely goddamn love this thing, it's definitely top 3 best JK-things to come out since at least 2018 😍
It's insanely useful for my RP group - it allows to easily play as a character that's unavailable personally, but reachable via comlink. Allows you to jump in for some basic activity from anywhere if you want to. Hell, if electricity dies or something like that - you have an option to finish the game via some simple message instead of just randomly disconnecting in the middle of the scene.
The fact that most admin commands in most mods I know are defined in Jampgame allows you to use admin features remotely if people on the server need some admin stuff done, yet nobody is on their PCs.
    Totally brilliant, insanely useful thing!
As far as any suggestions go (but all the important stuff and ability to do all those things is already here), I would probably go for:
ability to change your nickname with some button an option to put some servers on top, some Favorites-list, something like that; after you disconnect and restart the app, you need to search for your server manually again maybe an ability to connect via manually-inserted IPs; not sure here, since I use one server only, but maybe some people would find it useful for unlisted servers or stuff like that? maybe some thingy that's put somewhere in userinfo, honestly anywhere, maybe even in a random place, like the saber name, to identify the users? Mod-creators could include some specific stuff in their code so that some mod-specific stuff (like special chats or something) is sent in a default, normal way to the user of the app so it uses the proper channels etc.
    10/10 thing!
And thanks again for including OJP's modded playerStates 😁

Yes! There will by a revenge story as well 🙂 I won't spoil anything here though.
The planet is 90% a sea of junk and broken ships with a single settlement on the entire planet. Most of the population lives on the outskirts of the settlement in shacks, making a living breaking down junk and smelting it to raw materials. Gangsters act as landlords in these regions, answering only to the higher powers of a Dark Jedi oligarchy. The raw material is transported by large multi purpose transports through extensive underground tunnels. Outside the city center you'll find towers of factories processing the material into new products to sell on the galactic market. Circling the city center is the commerce ring, where the new product is transported across the galaxy. After that, you'll the city center, with business buildings towering the skies. At the very center lies the temple of Dark Jedi, who have ruled over this land for over a century.
That's a brief overview of the planet and it's lore, haha

Which resources and guides are you referring to? I think there are more tutorials and guides today than there ever were back in the day. Modding JK2 and JKA was always more of a "learn by tinkering" and any guides were more of a "point you in the right direction" sort of thing, until the last 10 years or so. Tutorials have become much more straightforward and hold you hand a lot more than they ever did, especially with YouTube tutorials.
This is a bit misinformed. The problem with Tim's KOTF was that he took all of those mods, put them in his giant menu mod, and didn't give credit to anyone that made any of it, implying he did it himself. In addition to that, the launcher had a trojan virus in it, and he had essentially switched to charging money for the mod right before it went down and he disappeared. Charging money for mods he didn't even make. It was a terrible situation and he was a scummy dude. The issue was never with the overall idea, it was how he went about it.
There are a decent amount of tutorials out there for various things, but tutorials take time to make, and most modders would prefer to use that time modding. With that said, I definitely think people shouldn't be afraid to reach out to someone and ask them to make a guide on how they did a certain thing, or point to one that already exists, to help others. If you think of something that needs a guide or tutorial, feel free to request it in the request section. Some people just don't think about it unless they are asked.

Also, keep in mind that most mods are art, and artists are entitled to keep their works as their own. I don't think a lot of people in JKA would feel strongly about that necessarily, but I personally don't really want to release a source of one of my maps only to have someone take it and change it up slightly and release it as their own. There's always that worry, albeit a small one.

Or as many people will call it: the return of LucasArts under a new name.
    Source: StarWars.com
They announced this sort of "rebrand" today as the main IP behind all Star Wars and other Lucasfilm properties going forward. Of course, this doesn't necessary mean that they will be publishing their own games again, but this does mean they could be planning to license out more games beyond just EA's contract. We already see that in the case of the Lego Star Wars games. This could be a very good start in the right direction.
Notice how they gave a very short glimpse at Jedi Academy at the end of their sizzle reel. I think that was just to highlight the recent re-release on Nintendo Switch and PS4 and it's one of the biggest fan-favorites, but it's still interesting they bothered at all. They also had a lot of KOTOR characters shown in the Galaxy of Heroes spot, which is also an interesting choice.
  16. Smoo liked a post in a topic by Circa in New here and making a star wars game :)
Looks awesome! Just be aware that making a new game using an existing protected IP can get you shut down with a C&D. What other projects are doing is to name their project and any related things inside it nothing to do with Star Wars, and then have a free unofficial mod that changes it all into Star Wars to be how you want. Still a grey area, but can probably work. As soon as you make enough progress and gain enough followers, Lucasfilm will notice pretty quickly.
    I wish you luck though.

I'm just adding to the existing thread this time, to not add too much clutter with 3 threads per contest, considering the current activity. This doesn't mean I don't think the winner deserves his own post! According to the poll voted on by you guys, the winner is...
    @Noodle
    and his Nightsister Zombie.
This is most impressive, considering Noodle's hard drive crashed earlier in the month and he had to essentially start from scratch on this with only a small amount of time left. Very nice job and I hope you continue to work on it as you find the time! I love when contest entries use existing Star Wars lore to fit the theme. Anyone that doesn't know about the Nightsister zombies should definitely watch the Clone Wars, or at the very least play Jedi: Fallen Order. Dathomir is safe to nobody!
We used to hand out custom made signature images for winners, but we planned to have something more integrated in the forum software for these things, but that didn't happen in time for this contest. Just know what all past winners will receive theirs as that becomes available. I'm thinking it'll be some kind of badge on your profile that says what contest you won, but we'll see how it works out. For now you can put that image above on your "About me" section if you want!
Very nice job to the other contestants, all entries were extremely well done! Hope y'all have a good and safe Halloween ?, and be on the lookout for the next contest!

    A classic returns
Okay, so I had high hopes that we'd get a contest in before October, but the main reason that didn't happen is because we are trying to implement small incentives into the forum software itself so that you can show off your contest awards more easily. That is on hold for now, so I figured we should just go ahead with the Halloween contest, since so many people love it and request it. The poll I posted a few weeks ago was enlightening, however, and those that are wanting those contests will still get them eventually! For now it's time to get spooky. ?

    Y'all vote
Unlike our last contest, but like our previous ones, you will have the last week of the month to vote on your favorite submissions. This month works out perfectly where Halloween (and coincidentally the last day of the month) falls on a Saturday. If you're not familiar with our past contests, essentially how it works is you create a mod related to the established theme and everyone votes on their favorite. If you want to see our past Halloween contests, check out those from 2017 & 2016.

    Rules:

All submissions must be Halloween-themed (so scary, spooky, frightening, etc. ?‍♂️) You can only enter your own creations. You may enter more than one file. Already existing files cannot be submitted. The goal is to encourage new creations! Any content is welcome, including skins, models, maps, weapons, menu mods, etc. Just make sure it abides by the rules. Files can be for Jedi Academy and/or Jedi Outcast. We will assume files are for JKA unless specified otherwise. The deadline for submitting content is October 25, 2020, after which a poll will be opened. The poll will be closed by the morning of October 31, 2020. How do I submit my mod?
Our goal is to make it as simple as possible for everyone involved. The way you submit your file for this contest is to upload them as normal files in our file section, but using the category called Contest Entries.

Click the button below, and submit your mod as you normally would. The category should be set to Halloween 2020 already. If you don't enter it there, your file won't be entered until you do. If you realize that you didn't do that, PM a staff member and we can change it for you. Good luck and happy sp00ky season! ?
    SUBMIT TO HALLOWEEN 2020

Well, competition is always good. Now, that EA aren't the monopolists, the games might actually look at least slightly different and be as good as during the golden era (which I consider to be somewhere between Dark Forces release and Revenge of the Sith). EA might have experience with Bioware, but Ubisoft made open world of different style, like Chicago in Watch Dogs and Ancient Egypt in AC: Origins. Personally it was GTA San Andreas that made me think – why Lucasarts wouldn't want to release something as massive as that game at the time.
And I don't count SW Galaxies and SWTOR.
I feel excited for the new Indiana Jones game even more than for Star Wars: this one would be made by the guys, who created the latest Wolfenstein games.
And this might be a cool challenge.

I think the campaign was pretty bland, definitely. If they hadn't made the main character a typical redemption story, it would have been truly epic, imo. Ended up being way too typical.
Multiplayer really shines in any place that the heroes and villains aren't present. They essentially ruin the game's entire premise and structure and are incredibly frustrating to play as and against. I love playing in the small modes that have heroes disabled, like Blast and Strike. Unfortunately they never made additional content for those modes after the TLJ DLC, and lacked in maps at launch in the first place.
I'm torn because I think the first game played better, focused more on trooper play, and had more enjoyable modes. But it also had a huge lack of content and was limited to the OT, which was its biggest downfall. I think looking back, I liked the first one much better simply because it was more enjoyable to play, but the second one isn't far behind.
But you can now get that all for free, which is pretty great. If anyone reading this hasn't tried the game, now's your chance.
