If you mirror something from one side to the other, you will need to re-apply the weights for the correct bones.

One last update...I´m sorry guys but I was still unsatisfied with whole shape of hood so I´ve tried to edit Toshi´s Luke hood instead and I think it looks really realistic now
Looks a lot better with this hood. Really close to the actual hood.

Welcome back fully, @@The Punisher.
Thanks. Let's see if we can have a place where diversity is welcomed and everyone can share whatever is possible to improve the game and keep it alive.

These are pretty good ports . I´m glad you are back. Maybe somebody can finally use this hoth outfit to create Hoth Luke.
Those 2 models are 2 high poly. Just Luke's head have more vertices than a single model can handle (even with OpenJK). A TFU Scout Trooper would be a better option

Is been a long time since I posted. In that time I had some fun (sometimes not so much) and made a collection of models. Seen the support we had in the recent days (see @dark_apprentice's page if you don't know), I've decided to showcase some of the models. I might think on releasing some of them if I see a change in attitude and we can go back to when everything that brought joy to the players was welcomed.
Here are some of them.
Force Arena Luke (Tatooine). Special Thanks to the AMAZING @Scerendo for the hands, saved me a lots of headaches.
Rival's ESB Luke with Force Arena head
ESB Han Solo (hips: BF Han Solo by @Seven, torso: Rival's ESB Han Solo, Head: Force Arena Han Solo)
TFU Hoth Soldier with mask/no mask options (textures are not the best but can't complain)
Rival's Han Solo in Hoth Outfit with Force Arena head. Boots and head gear/mask from TFU Rebel Soldiers

Nice it would be much better if you can add this glass :
That's the problem. I spent hours looking for a suitable model and spent time adding it and someone will never be satisfied.

What are you current list of must-have-mods for Single Player and Multi Player?
That is too subjective, it depends greatly on one preferences. I suggest you go through the Cosmetic, Weapons, sabers, skins and player model areas in the File Section and see all the great stuff there and decide which one applies to your personal preference.
Here are some of the mods I always install:

Personally.. Going back to what you said, @@The Punisher.. I think the JKHub staff have made a bad decision in disallowing "ported content". I can sort of understand their stance on it, because it doesn't showcase anything 'original'. However.. We as a community, are here to help each other out. That was what makes (or made) this community so engaging and a joy to be a part of. The fact that everyone was willing to assist others with respective content (requested or otherwise). I don't know about anybody else, but I feel this community is slowly dying now, which is a real shame. I've been a part of the community since the JK2Files and JK3Files' days and it's always been a very welcoming place.
But I think the allowance of ported content should return, as this adds another alternative to people who want models and content done, but modelers. etc. may not have the time (understandably), to invest in new model creation. There should at least be an in-depth tutorial on the site (if there isn't already) to show how to port correctly. So, pretty much anyone can learn it for themselves and achieve their own targets or complete their own requests. Ok, you wouldn't want the 'Downloads' section over-run with ports, maybe limit the amount, by way of character/model skins or something, but to disallow ported content entirely, is just a bad move/choice, in my humble opinion.
Personally, I understand the ported content should not be allowed in the Files section if it causes legal issues. That is not my point. My point is the (sometimes elitist) attitude against port/kit bashes/Frankenstein/Not "made from scratch".
And yes, you are not the only one that thinks this community is slowly dying.

I'm going to do something I told myself wouldn't do, but felt the need to get it out of my chest. First I want to make clear is not towards anyone, is just my opinion. I am not good expressing myself and I hope it doesn't looks like I am attacking anyone in particular.
Yes,I agree with Dark_Apprentice and Jeff in practically everything they said. I also think asking to put another mode's head over Scerendo's Masterpiece is not only disrespectful but also a disgrace.
Having said that, Tompa also made a good point. A point that has been driving me farther and farther away from this community. What the point is?
I cannot have my opinion there?
Lately it has been practically a "no-no" in this site to have personal opinions or choices.
- We have a "Request" section but a lot of times, when someone requests something, that person is practically attacked or the answer is "do it yourself" or "learn how to do it" or "Google it". And yes, I am also guilty sometimes of thinking they seem annoying or ridiculous requests, but that's what the section is for. If they want to request it, let them. If you don't like it, just ignore it, is their right too. And if someone wants to spend time fulfilling that request (as ridiculous as we might think it is), let them, is their time. You are not paying them anything, so it shouldn't be your problem. Otherwise, just remove the Request section.
- When I joined the community, it was a great place. Everybody was welcome to bring new contents to the game that brought joy yo the players. Be it a model completely made from scratch , a port, a Frankenstein/kitbash or just a plain "re-skin". Of Course we ALL prefer a great model from scratch but people have different sets of skills, have lives, have jobs (sometimes more than one), have family (sometimes with personal or health issues), but still want to contribute in what little way they can. Instead of acting like "Mama Boucher" ("port is the devil"), just think of it as "an appetizer before the main dish". Something that will keep the users entertained while a better model is made tailored for the game.
Instead of embracing Diversity, and keeping alive a game we all love for so long, we are becoming in "is my way or the highway". And you know who turns into that? Dictators.
PS:
For those making constant requests.
- Please understand the limits of the game
- Please understand people have lives and a request (as simple as it seems) takes time and effort to fulfill. Most of the time your request cannot be done in an hour or two. Sometimes might take days or weeks.
- If you posted in the request section and is been months and nobody have stepped out, it means nobody is interested.
- Please post your requests in the appropriate section. Do NOT bombard people with requests, they re not your personal slaves.
For those that want to learn:
- Install Blender (or your favorite modding tool)
- Open an existing model and study it. You can learn a lot from "reverse engineering".

Usually (not always) those gaps are caused by either a weight mismatch between the re meshes or the lack of a two side shader). If that bothers you you can try to hide it with a two side shader. Look at other models for shader examples or check in the tutorials section.

Looking forward to see Solo movie, even that I am not that hyped, but I am starting to get interested to see it at least once and give it a chance.
About the actor, I'd prefer the best combo to be from Jamie Costa (a smuggler's trade, fan story) as Han Solo & for Lando I'd love to see Billy Dee William's own son (Corey Dee).
Corey Dee would be a great choice for Lando, but I am not sure about Jamie Costa. His acting can be as bad as Kelly Marie Tran (and possibly as bad as Nicolas Cage).

There are a few stance animations. Not sure if they address lightning stance but at least these seems to (haven't tested any of them).
https://jkhub.org/files/file/249-new-force-lightning-animation/
https://jkhub.org/files/file/753-clone-wars-stances-and-effects-mod/
BTW, is not related to the stance, rather than the lining effects, I also would recommend this. Especially "Lighting types x" with blue, purple colors.

Holy shit! That looks awesome, @. Gives Jaden an entirely fresh, new look. Considering he's originally from Coruscant, this is pretty much how I'd imagine and would've preferred him to look, at the start of the story (before changing into his Jedi robes, after the inaugural initiation). Only query I have with him, is the lack of hair on his head. If that can be altered, then you'd have the perfect Jaden starting model.
**Edit**
That Rosh isn't half bad, either. Excellent work!
I used @Scerendo's Quinlan Vos for Rosh. Still need to match the arm textures to match the head skin color.

Well, I just got electricity back after 72 days in the dark after the hurricane and still don't have internet (except for the phone) so not sure when I will be able to upload it. Might take some time to get Internet restored. Lots of fallen trees made havok of the communications infrastructure.
As for the hair, the heads are from some models I found at another site, and he hair that comes with both models looks weird so I prefer them without the extra hair.

Guys maybe can someone tell me where can i find this Luke head face?
Is this the battlefront one,or it is the mix of the Luke Skywalker faces?
That was a bad test. That hair only looks good with Force Arena head.
That head looks better with the hair from Seven' original port.

Check on my WIP page 10 how to do it in blender. I would post a direct link but currently only have internet on my work phone and don’t the menu options.

So who's gonna get kidnapped and carbonite-frozen to be rescued in Episode IX?
Probably Poe. In Ep IX, they rescue him, Luke dies and becomes one with the Force. In the end, Kylo throws Snoke off a shaft then dies. Rey burns his body, then they all celebrate around the camp fire while they have a force vision of Kylo, Luke and Anakin and Chewy plays bongo with Stormtrooper helmets.

It won't work by just copying the folder to the new PK3. @@katanamaru's animation folder is called "_humanoid_dbgalen", so it won't replace the standard animation.
Options:
- you could try this version but it will be applied to every model in the game as this version replaces the standard _humanoid folder: https://jkhub.org/files/file/3283-katanamaru-backhand-styles-for-mp/
- Assign it manually to the specific model you want.
Option 1 is pretty simple. Again, it will affect every model in the game.
Option 2: Some people achieve this with a Hex Editor. Although it seems to work for them, it has never worked for me (maybe I am doing something wrong) so I use Blender to assign it to the specific model I want. See https://jkhub.org/topic/7971-backhand-version-of-ashuras-high-quality-starkiller-hilt/page-4?do=findComment&comment=115562 for details.
Problems with duplicating in Blender

I am not at my computer so I'm going to try the way I do it from the back of my memory.....For the purpose of the example, let's call the mesh "r_leg_strap"
Select r_leg_strap
add and apply a mirror modifier (Make sure you select apply)
a "mirror" of the mesh should be created.
change to edit mode
make sure nothing is selected
select only the "mirror" mesh
split the selected mesh (hit p then selection)
Change back to object mode
select the "new" mesh and rename it "l_leg_strap" (starts with lower case L) in the Ghoul 2 name properties, l_leg_strap_0 in the object and data properties
In the data properties, rename whatever bones start with "r" to start with l (lower case "L") so the bones are weights are applied to the left side bones
Export the model
edit the "skin" files and add the texture for the "new" mesh, for example:
l_leg_strap,models/players/some_model/straps.tga
Hope this helps.
Notes: name is up to you, I just like to keep it in a familiar way (at least for me)....
