Don't see why you'd want to limit yourself for the sake of a dated theme, 64bit 7 will blow away XP since stated the hardware compatible to use the 64 bit OS is limited which means you're more than likely using the 32 bit version and limited to 3gb of RAM which is nothing.

When did you get your copy? I got mine in 2009 not long after the release date (2006). The one thing about the CDs that I liked was that they had cool concept art on them. There were 6 CDs, so I had 6 nice paintings to look at. The funny thing is that I also have a disk copy of Star Wars Best of PC which has like 5 star wars games on 2 DVDs.

I can't remember where I got that copy, it was years ago. Probably in 2007 or 08.

On a side note, I still play JKA on CD.

Hmmm, that's actually not a bad idea then. A beater guitar like a squire could be a good learning process to figure out how to solder in new pickups. The wood is still going to be meh, but most things in that price range are like that.

The length didn't get shorter, and I wish we could change it, but we can't, as far as I know. Kinda frustrating. You're right MoonDog. Battlefront was modeled around the gameplay style of Battlefield, so I'm honestly really excited for it.

DICE is a good developer. EA is NOT a good publisher. The amount of pressure they put on dev's is stupid. Look at what it did to Mass Effect 3. That terrible ending is the product of EA's machinations.

They say battlefront was actually inspired by the battlefield series. I hope that DICE pulls it off and keeps the feel of the original while adding in all the things that free radical did to make the game amazing. I DON'T WANT CUTSCENES TRANSITIONING FROM SPACE TO PLANET, IT'S NOT THE SAME!

Oil, turbochargers are oil cooled and they get WAY hotter than PC's.

Few things? I know someone that loves linux and they're always talking about all the things that don't work on it. You definitely won't be doing any serious modding on it either.

I don't think you understand how the game works ping, it's designed for a pad. It's over the shoulder 3rd person. The gameplay in general is quite slow, enemies are sluggish, so you have time to move and aim around. Watch some youtube vids.

Mouse and keyboard is generally better for this type of game but it was ported to the PC from console, it was designed around a gamepad. It doesn't have any real settings for mouse smoothing and speed.

@Jango40: I know very well how these games work and I can assure you that using m+kb is not a problem (and in fact it never is, but besides that, it's not a problem for resi4 in particular).

There's a lot of love for the Jedi games, but the "world" has moved on.

I can see Dark Forces and Jedi Knight getting a remake. But none of the others.
