  3. playing quake 2 at 640x360 with max 40fps due to ray tracing is quite the experience

  4. I've had some great times when I was in (JAWA) playing the various events, but I just don't game enough these days to stay in a clan without getting kicked due to inactivity. So, are there any cool events happening outside of clans or that allow non-clan members to join? Sorry if this isn't the proper forum, I just have no idea where to ask..
  5. Anyone still plays siege? I haven't played in many years, but the servers are always empty when I check ;(

I still do, though MBII is way more popular.

The game would always crash on me when I tried to play siege. Only once I actually managed to get it to run, but I don't know how it happened. Oh well, it's all in the past not.

  6. This didn't age well, but what a classic
  7. I've always loved instagib back when I was in (JAWA), and am now thinking of hosting an instagib event myself. However, I need the configuration for such an event, with modified movement and being only able to spawn with an instakill disruptor. Does anyone have it?
  8. TIL it's spelled missile, not missle

I wanted to say "NERD!" but then I figured that you have a gf and I don't, so it would have been inappropriate :P

Just a little joke there. It's pretty cool in fact.

  9. Just finished A Plot is brewing in The Outer Rim by IrocJeff. Very fun singleplayer campaign, felt very nostalgic to play singleplayer JK2-style again.

The JO version has a peculiar feel in comparison to JA, at least to me. You should try that too.

      peculiar how?

The jo version has ladders and in my opinion the ai works better.

Yeah, pretty much. It feels better somehow.

  10. Not going to buy it with the microtransactions coming back. Reinstalled the original BF2 though and am having a great time. Even without the microtransactions, I don't think I would find it too interesting, it doesn't really offer much new interesting stuff other than the short SP campaign and updated graphics.

  12. I can't decide when I had the most fun myself, but it has to be one of these five things: *Messing around on obscure maps with a group of people in FA mode in Movie Battles II; DG clanmap is a fucking masterpiece, and I loved playing on a ported Jedi Outcast map whose name I keep forgetting (foresthouse or something?) *Instagib in the Jawa clan. Not much more to be said about this one, I love it. *Playing Siege - shame it is dead and has never been a particulary popular gamemode in JKA. Lots of potential, and I'd love to play some of the custom maps, but alas, far too few people cared about it. *Makermod. *Once upon a time, either in 2009 or 2010, me and a few other makermod players played through some Jedi Outcast singleplayer maps in Jedi Academy. It was broken as hell, and we had to use the console a few times to progress, but it was a hell lot of fun anyways to experience the JO nostalgia with others. Makes me wish to play real coop with a mod that allows it sometime.
  13. I especially agree with this. It's basically the only thing that made me play CS for soon to be 800 hours - I love seeing my skills and rank progress. It really pushes you to get better and better. If I remember right, there actually was some kind of leaderboard on the net for JKA duels back in the 2000's?
