      The game would always crash on me when I tried to play siege. Only once I actually managed to get it to run, but I don't know how it happened. Oh well, it's all in the past not.

    Just finished A Plot is brewing in The Outer Rim by IrocJeff. Very fun singleplayer campaign, felt very nostalgic to play singleplayer JK2-style again.

    I don't have a joystick. Is Resident Evil 4 worth getting without having one? I heard it's pretty bad with keyboard + mouse.

      I don't think you understand how the game works ping, it's designed for a pad. It's over the shoulder 3rd person. The gameplay in general is quite slow, enemies are sluggish, so you have time to move and aim around. Watch some youtube vids.

      Mouse and keyboard is generally better for this type of game but it was ported to the PC from console, it was designed around a gamepad. It doesn't have any real settings for mouse smoothing and speed.

      @Jango40: I know very well how these games work and I can assure you that using m+kb is not a problem (and in fact it never is, but besides that, it's not a problem for resi4 in particular).

      In total, I'm not sure. But Steam Spy shows 1.5 million JA owners and more than 1.1 million JO owners.

      You gotta figure it's way more than that since it was a long time before it was on Steam. I own the CD versions of all the JK games, only Dark Forces I is a digital copy.

      I have two copies of JA! One as a day 1 purchase and the other I got before leaving for the Navy. Picked it up so I'd have a back up if mine broke. Still sealed up.

      Demos aren't video files though, they're literally records of what happened on the server. You can't play it in anything but JKA.

      Circa has it right :D Imagine all of the data that you receive from the server. Now take that and shove it into a file. That's what the demo files are. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Maybe it's a dumb question.. but how do new graphic card drivers help my old geforce 710m? Do they improve performance at all or anything?

      Basically, all drivers do is tell the computer how to use your hardware.

       

      Take a look here at what this driver update does. Some performance increases, New Audio, Open Gl support for certain cards that didn't have it..

      When did you get your copy? I got mine in 2009 not long after the release date (2006). The one thing about the CDs that I liked was that they had cool concept art on them. There were 6 CDs, so I had 6 nice paintings to look at. The funny thing is that I also have a disk copy of Star Wars Best of PC which has like 5 star wars games on 2 DVDs.

      I can't remember where I got that copy, it was years ago. Probably in 2007 or 08.

      On a side note, I still play JKA on CD.

    I like the fact that Steam uses national currencies now. Bought 50€ for my steam wallet which cost me 390NOK, but I ended up getting 450NOK.
