  1. The model looks great, but must I agree that the face needs to be improved, especially the chin. @@Mark Lubbers His face should be much thinner, maybe a little bit like this one I found on DeviantArt:
  2. That's Ahsoka, no doubt. @@Cerez The model is great and the best impression of Ahsoka so far. Just a suggestion, but I thought it might be a resolution for both sides: You could make two different faces for your Ahsoka model. One that has the face your model has now (Version A), and one that has a face the members choose (Version B ).

    Kyle Edit

It's always good to see an altered version of Kyle for Jedi Academy. I mean, the plot between Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are several years apart, but Kyle is still wearing the same clothes? C'mon, that's silly!

    R2-D2 Dagobah Skin

Finally someone made a Dagobah skin for R2-D2. And it doesn't look bad at all.
  5. Whenever I think of Nar Shaddaa or Coruscant, I think of Blade Runner, which was probably an inspiration for both (but mostly for Coruscant). The description of Nar Shaddaa fits perfectly.
  6. I don't know, but a customizable Falleen race would be also interesting (both male and female). And out of all EU characters is Prince Xizor one of the most underestimated in my opinion. I think he deserves a model, as he appeared in Shadows of the Empire (one hell of a game!). I mean, we have a Dash Rendar model, so why not him?
  7. @ I think no one released a Falleen model, or even created one. To those who don't know what a Falleen is: I think a Prince Xizor model would be great for Jedi Academy.
  8. Here's another game I played over and over again when I was a kid, and I'm still playing it whenever I get my hands on it. METAL GEAR SOLID https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEHUGmRQGzg To me, it's the best game I've ever played on PlayStation. The first time I played it, I got drawn into the world immediately. The gameplay is still fresh and challenging, and the story, especially the characters, are amazing. Hideo Kojima created a masterpiece that's entertaining to this day. The Gamecube remake enhanced the experience a little bit, but I still prefer the original. The worst thing is to skip the Codec conversations and the cutscenes. They are important and it's a sin to skip them when you play it the first time.
  9. That's the most creative April Fools joke I've seen today. @@Cerez Nobody would dare to take over Doctor Who. Not even Disney.
  10. You're really looking for someone to build another Duel of the Fates map just for a small part that hasn't been included in other versions? The Duel of the Fates maps are big enough, there is no need to build another one just to add a detail that hasn't been seen in both the maps and the movie. And as far as I remember, the pit in which Darth Maul falls is a reactor shaft. I don't think it's interesting enough to put into a map.
  11. I found another gem of a game in my collection. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N68qvYFpTA I played it over and over again, but I never made it to the end of the game. And despite its crazy style and its difficulty, it's fun to play. This game reflects a totally weird but fun era where everything was possible. Hell, even Nintendo's commercials were awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6NdUJ8vtA0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tTc8__lXkM
  12. I totally agree with you. Multiplayer was something amazing, especially in Mario Kart (both SNES ans N64), Street Fighter II, F-Zero and GoldenEye 64. It was great just to sit there and play with friends. Then there was the action, the talking and the unspeakable ultraviolence afterwards when someone got really pissed because he lost a fight or a race against you (and the other way around). And if nobody got pissed, you were enjoying a great game with whoever you were playing with. That is something an online-mode can't offer. Multiplayer nowadays isn't that bad, but it killed what made the multiplayer of the past real fun.
  13. After playing lots of Next-Gen games, I got a little bit tired of them. No matter how great graphics have become, I can't see much replay value in them. Okay, there are still games where you can see a lot of effort in them and you have a great replay value. But they became rare nowadays. And because many publishers are releasing half-assed, almost unplayable games nowadays, I decided to grab my old consoles and played some of the classics. I realized that most of the games, despite their age, are still appealing. You can really see a lot of effort in them or at least something that makes them distinctive. I mean, just look at them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLzTh3OAey0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPP_RcMdqW4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_cl7fRiu8M These are just a few of the games I grew up with and I'm still enjoying them. So, does anyone else remember those classic consoles and their games?
  14. HapSlash's Anakin. Honestly, I don't know any other model that has been used multiple times. He was transformed like no other model. HS Anakin is the ultimate champion of reskinned models. He's a chameleon. I didn't expect that a "simple" model like that would take the community by storm. Second most used model is either HapSlash's Gweth or HapSlash's Obi-Wan Kenobi (because of his robe).
  15. Here are my some of favourite sketches: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U01xasUtlvw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATmWeEvW-Ec https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sor9GzivGbk
  16. Maybe it's a bit off-topic, but is it possible to change the title of this topic? A more appropriate title could attract more people and could increase the chance that someone will join the project.
  17. @@eezstreet Your idea is similar to my request I posted, but with far more details. http://jkhub.org/topic/4196-configurator-for-jajo/ I agree with you. I think that's what Jedi Academy really needs. If it's possible to create an eleborate and powerful tool like this, why not?
  18. @ It seems that no one is working on a skin at the moment. Please, be patient. If someone is working on a skin or a model, they will let you know sooner or later in this topic. I don't mean to be rude, but urging people to make a project they're probably not interested in is impolite and won't bring your request any farther. I mean, you can't expect that someone will immediately pick up your request. It's easy to request something, but it's difficult to find someone who makes something out of it.
  19. @@Psyk0Sith I can't believe my eyes. Your model looks f***ing awesome! The difference is that developers have to work within a certain schedule, and that means a lot of pressure. That results in a loss of details sometimes, especially when a release of a game is just few months away. Passionate developers/modelers, who do it as a hobby, have far more freedom with their projects and can put far more details into their models than any professional game developer.
  20. A while ago, I posted two sound mods. It took me a while and lots of concentration to get them working. After these two, I wanted to create more projects like these, but the processes are way to complicated. Some files require specific settings, some not. And after all the back and forth, I can be glad when at least one file is working correctly in the game. My question is: Which program is the best for sound editing/converting? I'm looking for a program that is easy to use that can handle the settings required for Jedi Academy without being too complicated. I'm using Audacity, but it seems that it converts the audio files correctly whenever it feels like.
  21. You and AshuraDX are the masters of lightsaber hilts!
  22. It was a general question and not related to OpenJK. Would be great if someone could actually increase the vertex limit. It could open many possibilities.
  23. Maybe it's a stupid question, but isn't it possible to increase the vertex limit by modifying the source code?
  24. After I browsed some models with Noesis, I got to the Saboteur model and found something interesting. It looks like a leftover the developers didn't use. I assume that the developers initially intended to give the model some kind of visor and later scrapped the idea. But no matter if it should have been a transparent or a metallic visor, I think it could be a nice upgrade to the model. It would make the model less boring and could hide the face that reminds me of Rosh (and I don't like anything that reminds me of Rosh).
  25. The blades have a unique and interesting shape. In combination with some colors, it looks wonderful.
