  1. Not only the protocol textures were rushed. The models in these games aren't that bad, that's right. But almost every texture of every model is a mess. In my opinion, the ugliest result of texturing is the Bespin cop.
  2. It doesn't actually have to do with the request of @@dark_apprentice, I just want to add a request if that's okay. The C-3PO model of the games looks kinda awkward. To me, it looks like one of those poor man's costumes you can purchase for a couple of dollars (or less) on ebay. I'm talking about those things that look like a pyjama and have a pathetic plastic mask. It would be cool if someone could make a better model of C-3PO, which could be playable as well. He looks so awkward in the games and deserves a better look and a proper playable version.
  3. Finally a Tardis map. It comes close to the style seen in the classic Doctor Who series.
  4. It's from the Star Wars Chronicles mod. It hasn't been updated for a while, I don't know if it's still in development. The skin hasn't been released. But there's an Emperor skin you might like. It doesn't look as good as the one Darth Phae made, but it's at least an alternative: http://jkhub.org/files/file/747-darth-sidious/
  5. That was the mod I was talking about, but I couldn't remember the name .
  6. Really? Well, this is my first request for it. But I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who wants it .
  7. A modder created a LUA based mod years ago and brought physics to Jedi Academy (MP only). But unfortunately, the developer abandoned that mod after very few releases (the version that contained the physics hasn't been released at all) and the videos on YouTube that showed the ingame physics have been deleted. So, I thought, because the source code is out and Jedi Academy seems to be able to handle physics (with the right coding of course), it would be great to finally get them in the game. I mean, at the time Jedi Academy was released, there were games that already had at least ragdoll physics. To be honest, I don't like the pseudo-physics in Jedi Academy. For instance, if you throw a thermal detonator and it hits the ground, it seems correct at first. But if you look closer, you can see that the grenade is actually BOUNCING like a bouncing ball. The same goes for the lightsaber. Adding physics to Jedi Academy would be a huge improvement and could make the game even more realistic.
  8. I know, this is way off-topic now, but that's just f***ing awesome! Level 4 Mind Trick is finally working ! I mean, it's ACTUALLY working, the way it should ever be. Back to topic: It's just great how good it works. It was annoying when you are fighting an enemy and the only style you've got was the blue lightsaber style. There are still some bugs and flaws in the game, and I hope we can locate every one of them, so they can be eliminated.
  9. I used OpenJK, and it works. I can switch between the styles without any problems. Maybe it's a bug caused by the setforceall command (I use it often). I've never had that problem either when I played it normally.
  10. I thought a model of Judge Dredd would be an awesome addition to Jedi Academy. I'm talking about the Karl Urban version, because the armor looks a whole lot cooler than the Sylvester Stallone version and is less bulky than the original comic version:
  11. A customizable HUD for Jedi Academy? That would be awesome. I'm not a programmer, but I think that it could be possible to port it. Both games have the same engine (maybe with a few differences), so it wouldn't be that hard to get a code for SoF2 working on JA. And thanks to the source code, it could get a lot easier to achieve. Let's hope that someone will do that.
  12. Yes, I meant the *flash tag. Have you tried to move the tag a little bit, so it's closer to the model?
  13. I think you have to edit the model itself to lower the laser. The model has a tag on it (triangle shaped polygon) that triggers the effect.
  14. I tried OpenJK, used the NpcSP tool and rapidly pressed the spawn button. I don't know how many NPCs I've spawned, but it was far more than the unmodded Jedi Academy can handle. Of course the FPS dropped a little bit, but there was no error message at all.
  15. The game already has Bullet Time. You can easily activate it by using timescale -3 (or any other number). If you want to activate/deactivate it by pressing keys, just type the following commands in the console: bind i timescale -3 If you want to set it to normal, just use this command: bind o timescale 1 Now, all you have to do is pressing i (for activation) and o (for deactivation). You can also use other keys than i and o, I just used them as an example.
  16. Wait until Alien: Isolation is out. The Ripley Edition contains bonus missions, including one that recreates the events of the first film. That game would be a perfect source, because you can roam the area and take screenshots of certain places.
  17. You mean the turret like the one on Kejim, right? I think I know what you mean. But as @@mrwonko already said, it's impossible without a script. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think you have to edit the map, locate the NPC and assign him to use the turret.
  18. Everyone knows that problem (I think): Everytime you want to change your lightsaber style, it gets stuck after you went through all three styles. The only way to fix that problem is to use the console and type in what style you want. It's an example how lazy the developers got after they released only one patch. I think there are mods out there that fixed that bug, but I don't want to download a whole mod I probably don't need just to get rid of it.
  19. The reskin is actually pretty good. Now he looks more like Christopher Lee.
  20. @ You know what? You could make Clone Troopers with robes. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Decoy_Squad_Five
  21. I totally agree with it. I wish someone could at least attempt to give them better animations.
  22. Finally a model of Bossk. Looks great.
  23. @ Like minilogoguy18 said, this doesn't count as an upload. If you want to upload your file on this site, here's the link: http://jkhub.org/index.php?app=downloads&module=post&section=submit&c= Once it's uploaded, it may take some time until the file is available because the staff members need to approve it first.
