  1. Guys, I've found another skybox that needs a better version. Bespin This is a screenshot of a random map I found on Moddb, but the skybox is the same. What this skybox needs: Ever wondered that the sky looks empty? Isn't something missing? Of course it is! Where are the Tibanna Gas containers and the mountain sized clouds? In my opinion, the skybox should be more like this:
  2. Jedi Academy suffers from many balancing problems that need some adjustments. This is one of them. Enemies with little to no armor take a million hits from your blaster, but a Gran boxer needs just two punches to kill you. What difficulty was that?
  3. Probably one of the greatest things I've ever read regarding playermodels. You know what's awesome about that very sentence I've quoted? That you've practically merged Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing together. Let me explain: Lee and Cushing were frequently working together in horror movies, especially in those made by Hammer Films. Apart from that, both men were very close friends in real-life. And now you've just merged them together. You, sir, have created the greatest coincidence in the history of JKHub!
  4. ATM is short for "at the moment". In this case, Circa recommends JKJA Launch for Single Player at the moment.
  5. My dream is to see a proper Han Solo model. I hope that one day, somebody will make or finish one. We have tons of Star Wars models that look great. We have many great models of Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers and so on. But Han is the only model that I don't really like. All the reskins, even if they are intended as improvements, don't do Han Solo any justice. The model is still the same, just in a different wrapper. You know, we have at least two different models of the ones I've mentioned above, but only one Han Solo model.
  6. It could be worse. I've seen weird requests you wouldn't believe. I even posted a weird request myself, which was the Angry Video Game Nerd (and I still hope it can be done ). And there were tons of requests, and even a wannabe-"contest", from a user who wanted us to create characters from an animated series nobody knows or cares about anymore.
  7. It was a mod for both singleplayer and multiplayer.
  8. Why don't you show us your mod in the WIP section of this forum? Everyone will get an idea of what the menus are supposed to look like, what they are for and so on. Maybe you will get more help with creating your menus by showing us what you already made.
  9. I often mentioned it here and still agree, both models are in need for higher quality versions. Especially the R2-D2 model in Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast just doesn't look like R2-D2.
  10. @ @@eezstreet Hey, isn't it possible to upload it here on JKHub? It might not be the most demanded modding tool, but at least it would be available for everyone who's looking for it.
  11. Kitbashing, reskinning and things like that are okay as long as you give credit to the original author (in that case, HapSlash). But I think it wouldn't bother him anymore, because he left the community some years ago.

Description: I want to introduce you my Tavion True Makeover mod. I made this in attempt to give Tavion a more grounded and realistic look while keeping most of her clothing untouched. Every modder has its own point of view on how a character should look like. While many are prefering a stylish, elaborate style with lots of colors and much fantasy, others are prefering a more realistic style. I'm rather the one who prefers the latter, and that's what I want to reflect with my take on Tavion's appearance in Jedi Academy. Here are the major differences: - Tattoos have been removed entirely. - The facial tattoo has been removed as well. This caused me to give her new eyebrows. - Tavion's eyes are now blue instead of dark green. - Possessed Tavion's eyes are now black instead of red. To spice her possessed appearance a little bit up, she has dark "spots" around her eyes (dark veins are such a cliche, so I dropped them). In addition, I made her skin pale to reflect her possession a little bit more. - Removed the feathers on Tavion's hair. - Removed the rings on her hands. The necklace has been removed as well. - Her black bra has been "enhanced" a little bit. Known Bugs: The previous version couldn't be spawned properly in normal Jedi Academy. I got rid of that problem, so it should work fine by now.
  13. Absolutely fantastic! It came without an announcement and instantly made me hit the download button. Needless to say that I gave it 5 stars.
  14. Rorschach!
  15. That issue can be easily fixed. OpenJK automatically changes your common keyboard layout (QWERTZ) to the english layout (QWERTY). The Alt key won't work because the english layout is different I don't know what operating system you are using, but try this. - First, minimize the game by pressing Alt and Tab. - Start the keyboard settings and change the layout/language from ENG to the language you're usually using. - Go to the game again by either pressing Alt and Tab again or by clicking on the game's icon on the taskbar.
  16. I would suggest that it should be a bonus mission that can be unlocked after the game has been finished. Otherwise it would interrupt the pacing of the game if the mission is placed inbetween the actual missions. The intro sequence should be altered to reflect that it takes place some time after Jedi Outcast. And because Kyle uses his lightsaber there, it would make sense to turn the mission into a sequel.
  17. I actually wanted to request that, too. The map is also bonus level of the Gamecube version I own, and is called Mission on Alzoc III. I think it would be great to make it part of the PC version as well. Sure, the demo can be played mostly without any problems in JK2 (which means that you can take the .pk3-files of the demo, put them into a mod folder and load them in-game), I think it has great potential to be more than that. Unfortunately, there are no source files of the map. But it would be badass to see a enhanced version of it. Here's a screenshot for those who don't know the demo:
  18. I know some of you might gonna throw things at me, but I consider Luke's force jump from Battlefront as a good example of how the force jump should look like (at least in its early upgrade level). Here are my reasons: 1.The force jump is closer to the one seen in the movies. 2. The animation is less showy and only reduced to its purpose: Levitating the force user. 3. As explained above, it doesn't make any sense when the player jumps, rolls in mid-air, and jumps even higher. The force jump in Battlefront rather "carries" the player to his desired destination, which looks more believable.
  19. From what I know, he's working on a Jedi Academy mod that kinda looks like Counter Strike, and the ported models are parts of them. I must admit that I'm impressed that those models actually look pretty good in a game like Jedi Academy. But that doesn't justify the purpose of them and that whole porting procedure.
  20. @@dark_apprentice Small correction: The software is called MakeHuman. And here's another reference picture of Sebastian. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a higher resolution version of the right picture.
  21. A model of Major Kusanagi has been already made. I think it's based on her appearance in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/Jedi%20Academy/Models/Celebrities/45270/
  22. Deviss released one a few days ago. You can find the link in this topic: https://jkhub.org/topic/6701-devisss-models-update-25-may-2016/ EDIT: Just noticed that it isn't a model for Jedi Academy. But you can find a great model of Durge in the Clone Wars Cartoon Model Pack: http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/Jedi%20Academy/Models/Model%20Pack/51924/
  23. Wait, Tyrael64 is back? THE Tyrael64 who made the Metal Gear Solid pack? It's great to see you again.
  24. The artwork looks great indeed. But to be honest, I don't see any resemblance with Finn and Rey at all. I mean, it's just a picture with random characters in spacesuits in front of a colorful background, and they're dancing to the disco version of the Star Wars theme. The record is from 1977, and concepts for The Force Awakens didn't even exist until about 30 years later. As far as I know, "Kira" and "Sam" were codenames for the auditions and for the public, to keep the real names a secret. You know what the artwork, especially the blue guy in it, reminds me of?
  25. Pretty good. He kinda looks like an aged Anakin (Hayden Christensen). Here's my suggestion: Make a skin pack with this version and the previous one, as both of them are great takes on old Anakin. And if you make a new version that resembles Sebastian Shaw, you can put it in as well.
