  1. You can find the latest version here I believe: http://jk2t.ddns.net/openjo/ Ignore any warnings about being unsafe, it just doesn't have an active cert. It is safe. I'll look into re-hosting a build here but for now that should do fine for you. Not sure about gamepad support though.
  2. The Bioshock Collection is free on Epic right now until June 6th. https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/bundles/bioshock-the-collection
  3. Borderlands 3 is free on Epic until the 26th. https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/borderlands-3
  4. There is the Bath House that is Roman-inspired. https://jkhub.org/files/file/728-the-bath-house/ This is not specifically Jedi Academy but there is the Colosseum mod for Jedi Outcast that will probably work in JKA. https://jkhub.org/files/file/2952-colosseum/ Obviously this one isn't Rome but it would be Greece. Olympus: https://jkhub.org/files/file/3923-olympus/
  5. General mapping: The guide Futuza linked above is how I learned basic mapping. For SP specific things I recommend this tutorial: Lots of tutorials in our tutorial section.
  6. @fen_bandit Like I mentioned on Reddit, you should have that mod installed in the Gamedata folder outside the base folder so it doesn't mess with the core game. Most story mods are like that. If you notice the ZIP file you downloaded for it had a .bat file and a folder. Put both of those in the Gamedata folder, not the base folder. When you want to play that mod, double click the bat file and it will load straight into the mod. Otherwise launch the game normally to play the base game.
  7. You mentioned they are "open palming the lightsaber" which implies their fingers are extended out flat. Can you post a screenshot? Changing the hierarchy probably won't matter much, but if they are incorrect it might fix other issues as well.
  8. That means that whomever weighted the model to the skeleton did it incorrectly. Or did it incompletely, rather. It's not a simple skinning fix, it would need to be fixed in a modeling program like Blender.

Amazing. So the droid is just static and tied to her model, kinda like the outfit in SWTOR? Would be epic if the droid was made into an NPC, I've been wanting one since I played BFII. Nice job though!
  10. GOG is a great resource for buying old Star Wars games, if you don't have them digitally and legitimately yet. 🙂 Here's their May 4th sale!

  11. I went ahead and edited the description for that mod to make it clear not to use the PBR PK3. Also keep in mind even without that pk3, you might need to still use OpenJK or equivalent in order to use it. You can find OpenJK here. Put that in your Gamedata folder and use it to play the game instead of jasp.exe.
  12. I knew you were going to report this eventually! I was hoping you wouldn't notice. I also switched to Firefox recently and it's been driving me crazy. I'm unsure how to fix it so it may end up being disabled. EDIT: I went ahead and disabled the pulsing glow in Firefox only. It looks too nice to remove from the other browsers.
  13. This year's May the Fourth sale on various platforms and stores have started to be revealed. StarWars.com did an extensive list of gaming related sales going on, including Jedi Knight games. Scroll down to the end for the PC sales, and of course head straight to Steam/GOG/Origin on May 4th to take advantage. Humble will have various bundles of games for a great price, and they almost always give you Steam keys. Jedi Outcast and Academy will both be 65% off on all PC stores. Outcast will be 65% off on Nintendo Switch eShop, and Academy will be 50% off. Of course this isn't the full extent of sales that will be going on. Nearly every store that sells anything related to Star Wars will be having a sale. SWTOR will be offering a free (yet ugly) pet for those that login next week. Be on the lookout for more sales and other celebrations (maybe even trailers?) to celebrate the franchise we all know and love. Even if you are a new canon hater, hopefully you can find a way to be positive during this time instead of filling the internet with more hatred. 14. It would also be nice to know which mod you're talking about.
  15. We have a tie for the Underworld contest! Crazy!

It's all my fault, I forgot to vote in time 😅

  16. Well this hasn't happened before. We have an exact tie for winner of the Underworld Mod Contest! Instead of finding someone to break the tie, I'm going to be generous and give the win to both @Noodle and @biggs for their amazing mods! It may not feel quite as sweet to you guys to share it, but you both get the shiny new badge that you can show on your forum profile! Noodle's Bounty Hunter is one of the winning mods, and let's just say it was very well deserved. Inspired by an outfit in the game Star Wars: Uprising, this character has quite an intimidating appearance; a figure that would definitely be seen on the payroll of a Hutt or other crimelord. Your modeling skills have come along quite well, my friend! Inspired by Bladerunner, biggs' Underworld map is an impressive stage of dark and mysterious atmosphere and fits in perfect for its namesake. Though its not technically finished, what is done is very well done and I'm sure everyone will agree that we'd love to see it completed! Excellent job to everyone that submitted, and thanks to those that voted. Going forward for contests we will be limited votes to accounts that were created before the poll opens to avoid any fraudulent or padding of votes, just a heads up there. Remember, just because you didn't win this time, we will have more contests in the future, but the goal of these contests is just to inspire creativity with a twist of a deadline and competition. The ultimate win is getting more mods out there for people to enjoy from talented creators like you! View all entries Read original news post View contest poll View full article

  18. Replacing some of the NPCs in SP of both JK2 and JKA with some of these would be awesome. Some of the NPCs have multiple versions like human_merc2 or weequay2 that could be replaced with these and still keep the vanilla ones in as well. Would be a nice additional pk3 you could add.
  19. The TPM game is one of my favorite SW games of all time. Are there plans to recreate more than just what is shown here?
  20. Moved to tech support forum. Can you be more specific on what doesn't work? Do you get errors?
  21. We've got a great collection for this contest to choose from! Nice work to all who created and submitted! You have a week to vote. A winner will be decided by the most votes when voting is closed on April 17th. Remember, this theme was the "Star Wars Underworld" - which is defined essentially by the criminal and undesirable parts of the galaxy. Or as old Ben put it: scum and villainy. Which of these do you think is best and deserves to win the Underworld badge? (Links below)
  22. Updated to include new M1 native versions of OpenJK SP and MP, OpenJO SP, and instructions for JK2MV and EternalJK that work as of Monterey 12.3.1 on M1 and Intel chips.
  23. Underworld contest deadline is Saturday! Submit your mods here.

I ran out of time to work on an entry for this contest, but hope to make some content soon for the community. Good luck to all the entrants!

  24. Wouldn't that just be a Snowtrooper?
