WINNER of the HOLIDAY MOD CONTEST 2022
This is a short and sweet level I put together for the holiday contest this year. Just unzip the folder and place the contents in the Gamedata folder. You can then use the included .bat file to load the mod on both Steam and disc versions.
 
Kyle has decided to take a quick break from the festivities, but it isn't as relaxing as he'd hoped.
 
Known Bugs: Sometimes Rosh and Jaden are stubborn and don't bow out properly, but the cutscene should still trigger once both are dealt with. 🙂

About the mod:
Please unzip the NewBeginning.zip folder and extract the contents to your Gamedata folder. Once installed, you may use the included "newbeginning.bat" file to load the mod for you. These instructions should apply to a disc and Steam installation (as I've used both!)
This is a single player mod set one year after the original game (Light Side ending.) You will play as a new character over three levels (discounting cinematic maps) and two bonus levels. Two take place in the Jedi Academy and one at one of the many training grounds. I strongly encourage you to explore the first level as there're a fair few secrets and Easter Eggs to be found! It was designed with the original Jedi Outcast level in mind, which means you could end it very, very quickly if you wanted to bypass the fun of exploration and move onto the trial level.
The trial is the same one that was originally released here on JKHub with minor edits. I wanted to place emphasis on the Yavin Temple in order to receive feedback while I work on a brand new trial level and the first mission beyond the Jedi Academy.
If you encounter any bugs- Oh, God. Please, please don't tell me you've encountered any bugs. ;_; My head might implode!

Problems with the .bat?
A Windows 8 tester did seem to be having a problem loading the mod with the .bat provided. They overcame this by creating a shortcut to their jasp.exe. (Right-click, copy, paste shortcut)
Open the shortcut's "properties" and then move to the "shortcut" tab. Then, add the following (after a space) onto the "Target:" field: "+set sv_pure 0 +set fs_game newbeginning"
Example:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\jasp.exe" +set sv_pure 0 +set fs_game newbeginning"

This is the Jedi Temple as it appears in my to-be-released single player mod, without the scripts and single player assets themselves. Please feel free to point out any improvements that you feel could be made!

Installation:
Unzip the downloaded folder and place the .pk3 file within into the Base folder of your Jedi Academy directory. You can access the map by entering "/devmap yavin_temple_mp2" into the console, or selecting the map from the list of maps in the menu.

This mod will change the appearance of the jedi, jedi/j2, jeditrainer, jedi/master and jedi_random npcs that appear throughout the single player campaign to resemble prequel Jedi. The Jedi Trainer is now a hooded woman and the Jedi Masters are now hooded men, while all other Jedi who appear are Padawan Learners. Rosh, Kyle and Luke are unchanged. This mod requires Scerendo's Female Jedi Customisation and Spanki's Jedi Customization Plus to work.

This mod will change the appearance of Rosh Penin in Jedi Academy so that he resembles a Kel Dor. The sounds have also been modified to be more fitting. Check the included video for reference.

This map was originally inspired by the Defender-Class Light Corvette featured in Star Wars: The Old Republic. As construction has gone on however, things've deviated completely as I've pieced together my own design. I'd encourage you to take a look at the screenshots to get an idea for the feel of the place.

Ever have one of those nights where you fancy making something but you've no idea what? Well, this is the result of one such evening. I felt like keeping him!
 
Installing Kyle_Overwrite.pk3 will overwrite the Base game's Kyle with what you see in the screenshots.
 
Installing Kyle_Addition.pk3 will add the skin to the game without replacing anything.
To access the kyle_addition skin, enter the following command into the games console:
/model kyle/edit

This is a map that I built for Ramikad as a part of the 2016 JKHub Secret Santa event!
 
Among the list of gift suggestions was a map of Alderaan, which I thought would be a bit too elaborate to make in the time-frame that I had, so I played a little bit of a joke with it instead: The map is very minimal, taking place on Alderaan's remains following the events of A New Hope.

This file removes the grid that covers the video on the main menu screen and also displays a new video, too! The video is footage of the cutscene of Jaden Vs. Alora on Taspir III, only Alora has been replaced with the Rodian Jaden, just to add a nicer touch.

This mod provides the player with the same cursor that was used in Jedi Outcast, the predecessor of Jedi Academy. The cursor takes on the appearance of a blue, single Lightsaber.
 
Installation:
 
Unzip this file and place it in the Base folder of your JK3 directory.
 
Useful Notes:
 
If you are running a mod such as JAPlus, then you may find that the shaders for the cursor will not function properly. This simply makes the blade on the cursor look thinner, and less aesthetically pleasing. To counter this, copy and paste the zJOSaberCursor.pk3 from your Base folder to the relevant mod folder of your JK3 directory.
 
E.g. Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/Gamedata/japlus
 
A note of warning if you try this, however: Any mod that alters the shaders/ui.shader file in any way will likely be incompatible with this mod.
What would happen if you were to try it anyway? The cursors glow won't function properly. You will still see a Lightsaber hilt, only the blade will be thinner and not pulse as it should.

They are both appropriately named "Rosh_Jedi" and "Rosh_Jedi_Overwrite" to avoid confusion between them. This is my attempt at placing Rosh Penin in Jedi garb. This was created as a personal/role-playing skin which I am now distributing for others to use. It's a human female using HapSlash's old Gweth model (see below) with various cybernetic implants. Team, Bot and NPC support are included, whilst sounds are derived from the JK2 Jan Ors. Icons are provided, so you'll be able to select the skin from the player menu.

Description & Installation:
Following download, unzip the file and place the .pk3 in the base folder of your JA directory. Once installed, all sounds associated with browsing the menus of Jedi Academy will be muted. I did this simply because I found the sounds irritating, but didn't want to disable various other in game sounds with the slider in the setup menu.
 
Because most of the "Quit Game" menus played a sound from the lightsaber directory, several of the .menu files from the ui directory are included (modified). If you have any mods installed which alter the ui files in any way, there may be a conflict. However, this should only affect the one sound (quitting the game through the menus). As most of us quit the game using the console command /quit or /q, I doubt that'll be a problem. If you encounter any errors, let me know about them and I'll see what I can do about it in a future update!

After installing this mod, your console will resemble a peaceful snowfall.
To install this mod, place the enclosed .pk3 in the Base folder of your JA directory.

This skin was made to full-fill a personal request for role-playing purposes. As such there is no team, bot or NPC support accompanied with this skin. As the requester began learning to skin himself, he managed to complete his own before he was able to use this one; so here it is now available for anyone who wants it!
