Honestly, I think that adding Lady Dimitrescu to Jedi Academy would be a bad idea. It's not that it is impossible, it's just that she wouldn't really fit in well in the game. We're talking about a character that is 9'6" tall (which is 2.90 meters), which makes her even taller than any character we have. If someone would try to adapt that size to the player model, it would only look silly. And if she is scaled down in order to match the size of the other character models, and also given a lightsaber or a blaster, it wouldn't be Lady Dimitrescu.
There are so many characters out there that have the potential to be easily included in Jedi Academy, but Lady Dimitrescu is not one of them, for many reasons. Sometimes, it's better to just leave certain characters alone.

I've merged the two topics together.
Do you experience that issue with the same model you've taken from Movie Duels? If yes, I think that's the problem, because you've taken a model that wasn't specifically designed to be used in vanilla Jedi Academy.
If you still want to play with that character, I suggest you get the Galactic Legacy mod. Not only does it contain a massive range of Star Wars characters, it is also compatible with the SP campaign. I think that your character has been included there as well. https://www.moddb.com/mods/swgl/downloads/star-wars-galactic-legacy-part-1-of-2
Make sure to clean your base folder of any mods, including the model you've taken from Movie Duels, in order for Galactic Legacy to work properly.

Ok, but how do I fix the problems I have mentioned in my previous post like having my melee mod work and not having to type in helpusobi 1 and iknowkungfu every time ?
I'm sorry, but I can't help you with that one.

I take a screenshot when playing jka on openJK
OpenJK uses a different folder structure. All screenshots are located in Documents\My Games\OpenJK\base\screenshots.

what is OPenJK ? and how do I install OpenJK ?
I downloaded the latest as you said, but all I got were files, but no readme
Just put all the files into the GameData folder. Then you start the game either with openjk.x86.exe (for MP) or openjk_sp.x86.exe (for SP).
Long story short: OpenJK is essentially a modified version of the game's code. It contains bugfixes and even removes certain limitations (or at least expands them), which allow you to run the game proberly. As your problem is a limitation issue, OpenJK may fix just that.
If you need more information about it, just take a look at the GithHub page: https://github.com/JACoders/OpenJK

@RASAS
Download the latest build of OpenJK, start Jedi Academy with it and see if it helps.

Same here. I think Fallen Order had a really good saber building feature but it didn't feel as special because it wasn't YOUR saber. It was Cal's.
Nevertheless, it was a lightsaber crafting system that has never existed in any other Star Wars game before. In fact, it came close to how I imagined the crafting system in Jedi Academy and KotOR.
A classmate also told me about a feature that allowed you to split a double bladed lightsaber into two lightsabers during combat. I can't remember if he was talking about Jedi Academy or KotOR, but still, I wanted to see that feature for real. Needless to say I was disappointed again.

If you haven't found those mods yet, chances that you will find them are pretty thin. My guess is that the mods you're looking for were hosted on pcgamemods.com, which not only had a massive selection of rare mods, but sadly went offline before anybody had the chance to make backups of the files.

Hi there. I’m playing JKA for the first time in a long while and I’d like to play with a controller (ideally my PS5 controller, but I’ll buy an Xbox controller if I have to). I’ve hooked up my PS5 controller and it seems to be working well for the most part, but I have to key the controller up/down functions as “look up” and “look down” if I want to use the right thumbstick to look around. What I’m finding is that the look up/look down functions are too sensitive for the thumbstick to be practical. Is there any way to have Jedi Academy treat a thumbstick as a mouse instead of a joystick? Is there any other solution I’m not thinking of? TIA.
Have you adjusted the mouse sensitivity?

That's a good idea actually. Nobody has ever done a female version of that species before. But the question is, who is willing to make one?

Yea. I have a feeling that I did end up forgetting to get it, that's all. ::(((((
You should check your emails if there is a receipt for the game. If you got that game and it still doesn't show up, you should contact the support of Epic about that.

It does work better than the original cutscene, as it better reflects how narrow-minded Rosh was during the training.

Somebody has already started to make him for the Dark Forces II mod. However, the model is still WIP.

I downloaded a fix to run the game smoothly on my machine.
This must be the reason. Do you have the Steam version of the game? If yes, try to use the repair feature of Steam. If that doesn't work, I suggest you a radical method: Uninstall the game completely, then delete the entire Jedi Academy game folder (that way, you make sure that all game files are wiped from the drive), then install the game again. Of course you should make backups of the custom pk3s and your save files first, so you can put them back in later. But don't put the fix back in!

May I recommend Galactic Legacy to you? It's basically KotF 2.1, but better. It's the only solution I can offer, especially because KotF 2.1 is no longer in development while Galactic Legacy is still going. So, if you experience problems with that mod as well, you can always ask the developers, who are ready to help you.

Anyone know of good sources for Seperatist droid models?
looking for the BX droid and the T tactical droid in particular.
Good news: They have already been made. You can find them in the Galactic Legacy mod.

If I want to modify the .bsp file, do I need to open it with GtkRadiant or not?You can't modify the .bsp file, at least not like that. You need the original .map file, which you only get by decompiling the .bsp first. But that's not how you solve your problem, so don't start it at all.
As far as I know, the map's script needs to be modified, nothing more. I have never done that, so I can't help you.

As this is a Galactic Legacy related issue, I moved this topic to the appropriate section.
@Linken, can you help him with this? Or do you know someone in your team who could?

Tomp is not the leader of MD remaster btw. Its Swegmaster
Ah, thanks for the info. I changed it. I got it mixed up, as Tompa is marked as the author of the mod, here and on ModDB.

If I'm talking out of my butt, let me know but I have been using Animation Menu for quite some time to create some machinimas and although it has benefitted me, some part of me thinks there could be ways to improve it. The Movie Duels Remastered NPC scripts is probably the best of these scripts but it still needs ways where animations could loop. I don't exactly know if you can bind animation scripting but it could be beneficial. With a new npc system, there could be ways to make the NPCs in machinimas or in-game areas more lively.
I think that you should contact @swegmasterabout it. He's the leader of Movie Duels Remastered, and maybe the coders of his team can find a way to make the NPC system even better. It's better to improve what is already there.

That's the problem! The humanoid.gla files are animation files, and they contain all the informations a model needs to work properly. The animations in the human_galen.gla file were specifically designed for Movie Duels. And if you put those in vanilla Jedi Academy, it leads to the problems you've experienced with that model. That's why you shouldn't take models from other mods and put it in the normal game, because certain models don't work well with the regular game.
